Decent service. I came here for a inspection. Initially there was no one available and I had to come back because of associate being on lunch. No biggieI got back and dropped the car off. I asked the associate if he knew how to drive manual and he assured me he could. AlWatching him trying to put my car in the garage he stalled it about 3-4 times before asking me for help. I wish the help was asked before hand or another associate knew how to drive manual.The inspected was done quickly after the fact and updated to website right away

I just stopped in to get an estimate on repairing my bumper which was coming loose. Jamie stopped what she was doing and came out to look at it and saw that it was a minor fix and fixed it on the spot. Most businesses just dont care for their customers that way anymore. I was so thankful and impressed. I will definitely be going back.

I’ve visited this business several times for regular maintenance and repair. The service has always been fantastic. The wonderful woman in the office is friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. The mechanics are thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and straight forward without trying to up-sell you at every turn. This is the type of garage I grew up around. The money seems to go toward hiring highly qualified people, and not toward making the garage look trendy or sporty. If my mom lived in this area, Auto Performance Center is where her car would go. I can’t give any higher praise than that.

Weve always used the mechanic next door and never knew they had a body shop. Same awesome work just steps away. I always recommend them and now I can recommend them for any body repair needs!

Auto performance center is one of the best shops I’ve been to in all my 29 years here on Earth. I met Don and his great crew after a “ shade tree” mechanic did some work on my car soon after we arrived from S. Korea here to the Garner area. From day one Don and his staff have always been helpful, cost effective, and even assisted me when I was forced to shop for a new car.There are not enough words to describe how great APC is! I recommend them often and their service is impeccable and great priced.

I knew of a couple minor faults they may have mentioned, most in things I doubted the inspection at any place would cover. Main thing being a minor but noticable ticking from the engine, particularly at start up even warm. Right away the man seemed to have a bit of experience with the model of my car, even that theyd had to replace the trans in a different powertrain option.They said the car was great! 👍🥳Bought it, and good so far at 1 month. I really like bringing my older vehicles here. They do a good job and have good prices. They dont try to sell you on things you dont need. The only negative I can think of is that theyre too busy, but I guess thats what happens when you do a good job.

Must say we had a rocky start with understanding one of the main issues to be repaired; but once the owner stepped in to the picture to assess...all went great!! On my way to work, my front passenger-side tire started making an awful scraping sound like my rotor was shot, but after a quick look at the wheel, the mechanic noticed it was small pebble somehow lodged in the rotor that was doing all the scraping. Problem solved. No charge. Great service. Customer satisfaction. I highly recommend their honest, friendly, thorough service.

Great customer service, prices, and work. Ive taken my wifes and my own vehicle several times for routine maintenance. I havent had any problems. They have always been accommodating of my schedule and stuck to their time predictions. Aaron, a mechanic, has always been very cheerful and explains any problems with my cars and solutions in laymen terms.

This is an excellent auto shop. Courteous, prompt, communicative, and above all, honest. They will do what needs to be done and do it right, and not attempt to tack on extra things to run your bill up. I will definitely keep taking my car to them.

Quoted price over the phone and it doubled by the time they finished (after keeping my truck for 5 days for a simple brake line repair).That wasnt enough, I was supposed to get the annual inspection during the visit but my check engine light came on. I didnt want anything else from this business so I bought a code reader from Walmart and found the problem was the fuel vapor vent was not working. I figured out how to get to it and found it had been unplugged... took me 2 days because Im disabled and mostly in a wheelchair so crawling under my truck is difficult but I had no other options.Greedy and heartless.

Id like to write a negative review but only because I dont want them to get too busy for me with yet, another positive review. I took my 2004 Mini Cooper in for an evacuation and recharge for the air con.they had it done in less than a half an hour at a lower price than several other shops I had called upon.The owner, Steve, is a focused guy and amiable. Andrew in the office has a good attitude and bringsa good atmosphere into the biz.

Used Auto Performance Center 20+ years ago and was happy with their work. I then started using garages closer to home but their services were unsatisfactory. I have now had my Tundra worked on 3 times and am completely happy with all aspects their work. It is definitely worth the extra drive.

Typically Im able to find a ride there and drop my car off, however one particular time I wasnt able too and of course they (particularly the owner) graciously gave me a ride home and they were swamped that day. Steve, Andrew, and Tara are all trustworthy and great to work with.

We drove from Charlotte not knowing who we were going to find to fix my daughters car. We found Auto Performance on the internet and they had 4.8 stars. When I tell you we called, they quoted us a price and stated the part will be in and the work will be completed today!!! They were professional, fast, feasible and provided excellent service! The staff at Auto Performance Center goes the extra mile to check my car and let me know the details of what was done or what is needed. My only concern was on this visit I was not told there would be a diagnostic fee. I was not expecting the final cost to be as high as it was. My car, however, was well serviced. I know I can count on that.

Great facility. Fixed my big commercial shuttle bus in a desperate and urgent situation. Steve (the owner) and his crew went over and beyond, to help me out when I desperately needed it. They found a rusted gas line, that was causing me problems from the time I purchased the bus, of which several other service centers, including one dealership, where not ever able to diagnose. And his prices, including labor, where extremely fair. Thanks for your great service!

Came in for an alignment at 8:00 am that was quoted at $69. Work started at 8:30. At 10 am the mechanic told me he couldnt get the alignment within spec because the subframe was bent in too much to get the castor proper. At 10:30, a different guy came to me and said that one of the bolts for the upper control arm snapped off. All of this is fine: I personally swapped the engine/trans as well as the entire front suspension to tubular control arms with coilovers (classic car). I know the car in and out and understand how much time it takes to do things. After the broken bolt, I couldnt stick around any longer and had to go to work. At 11:45 am that same morning, they called and said my car was ready. Flip to the next day: I come to pick up the car and the bill is $350! (almost $300 more than quoted). My biggest issue is that the guy explaining the bill flat out lied to me about what work was done (he didnt know that I built that car and am a mechanic who simply dosent own car alignment tools or I woild have done it myself like everything else on the car). He told me that the entire upper control arm was removed and my ride height was adjusted in the span between 1030 and 1145ish. The mechanic had told me the day before that he wouldnt change the ride height because he didnt want to damage the coilovers as he had already tried to adjust them but the spanner nut wouldnt budge. I can also gaurantee that the control arm wasnt removed from the spindle. Completely removed? Nah. The math works out to about $110 per shop hour... take that for what its worth, but I simply didnt like the man in the front office trying to feed me a line of what I read to be bull. If they see this, Ill be curious what their reply is. (By the way, absolutely nothing against ANY of the mechanics there, good people.)

I love this place few years ago i went to bobby Maury on capital to repair my care and they end up messing up my care and i end up bringing my care to auto performance and the owner told me what went wrong with my car but i didnt have enough money to repair it but the owner was so kind to repair my car and he trusted me to let me pay off the amount in two weeks and he did a fantastic job with a smile.I highly recommend this place.

Recently I took my car to a transmission specialist one mile east of Auto Performance and they quoted me an excessive amount to rebuild my transmission. Needless to say I was very frustrated. Talked with Steve at Auto Performance and he quoted me a price which I felt was very reasonable.His quote was $3000 less then the first specialist. Immediately had my car towed from original destination to Steve at Auto Performance. I was treated fairly,honestly and with a strong sense of understanding over my overwhelming since of frustration. Yesterday, when I got off work at 5:30 I ran over a piece of metal that stuck in my tire. I wasnt able to take the lug nuts off and was losing air pressure quick, so I knew I needed to take it somewhere. I stopped at one place off yeargan rd and they told me they couldnt do anything. All I needed was for someone to take the tire off and put my spare on. Right before I turned on Hwy 70 the piece of metal shot out of my tire and was instantly flat, I needed to stop immediately, lucky for me Auto Performance was right there. They were closed and the owner Steve told me the tire guy was gone already but said he could help me remove the tire and put on the spare. Within 20 mins it was done and he didnt even charge me for helping. I will be taking my truck back there when I need more work done.

VEHICLE INSPECTION GONE WRONG!!!!Ive been a customer of Auto Performance Center for several years. During that time, Ive received many services from a simple oil change, to inspections, to a few major repairs.I took my 2006 Nissan Altima into the shop about a week before Christmas 2016. My check engine light was on, my car needed to pass inspection by 12/31/16, and I knew it wouldnt pass in its current condition. I dropped my vehicle off and later received a call from Andrew, the store manager, who gave me an estimate of repairs needed in the amount of about $1700. I asked him for an estimate of only the repairs I needed to pass inspection and was provided with an updated estimate of $1325. That day, I asked APC to just change my oil and I picked up my vehicle with the intention of returning once I could get a second opinion and get the funds to pay for the lower of the two estimates. I dropped my vehicle back off in the early morning of 12/30/16 with the understanding that all repairs and services outlined in the second estimate would be provided. I even brought the print out of the estimate to confirm that that exact work would be performed. Included on that list was my inspection and inspection sticker. I picked up my vehicle around 4:15 that same day, paid the bill and went home. On 12/31/16, the day my renewal was due, I accessed the DMV website, input my vehicle information into the system, and attempted to pay my registration renewal fee. I was not allowed. Instead, I was prompted to call a 1-800 number. The DMV was closed since it was a State holiday and the shop was closed because it was a weekend. When I called DMV today, 1/3/17, which is the next business day after the holidays I was told that the inspection was NEVER submitted. I called the shop, spoke to Andrew and he said he would have someone resubmit the emissions statement which showed that my vehicle passed on 12/30/16, before the January 1, 2017 deadline. After making four calls to DMV, along with three calls to the shop, I was able to pay my renewal fee which included a $15 LATE PENALTY.When I called the shop to see why it was only after it resubmitted the emissions statement that I was able to pay the fee, the store manager talked while I was talking and then hung up on me before I could speak to the owner or get his name, which I did request.Ive worked in customer service so I know the customer is NOT always right but in this circumstance I received the short end of the stick from APC and its management!!!
