I ordered both beard soap and beard grease in the Haymaker blend. Ive only tried the beard grease so far, but I gotta say after 10 years of trying every beard product out there, this is by far the best quality and absolutely best smelling Ive ever come across. I scheduled an appt for today for my husband almost two weeks in advance since it’s hard to get in on Saturdays. We live in Emmett and I was very disappointed to find out he drove all the way to the Boise location only to be turned away because his appointment was in Caldwell. The Caldwell location wasn’t even an option (they weren’t even open) when I made the reservation??! Looking back, he got the confirmation notification but didn’t look closely enough to see it said Caldwell but why would he? I didn’t schedule it there! This review has nothing to do with the quality of their services but they still should have been able to squeeze him in or something. Instead they rescheduled him for NEXT weekend and sent him on his way. They even said he wasn’t the only one it happened to today. How?? Super annoyed!Edited to add: Increased stars due to the owner’s quick and understanding response. Thank you Wendy! Greg will be in this afternoon - he’s really looking forward to it! 🙂

Pros: Best haircuts in Boise. Hands down. Friendly staff. Great music, decor, and atmosphere. Wide selection of great hair products for men. The store is clean. They treat their employees very well and everyone seems to be happy and take pride in working here. They take their time and don’t rush through your cut. No drama on display as can be the case at many other shops and salons.Cons: Can be tough to get an appointment on short notice with certain staff due to extreme popularity. Not the lowest prices for those looking for a cheap budget cut (but you get what your pay for). Website can sometimes be buggy at making appointments.Summary:I love Beardsmith. I wish I could get a haircut here every two weeks but it’s often hard to work into my schedule due to limited availability. Like an exclusive restaurant, it seems like every is trying to get in for appointments. I think they are expanding and trying to hire to address this issue. Despite all this, every time I go here, I’m reminded why I pay premium price, drive across town, and find a way to work it in to my schedule. There’s a reason this place is so popular. It really is the best.

Alex was my barber and he was amazing! The atmosphere is great, the cuts are great, and the cost is bizarre in the sense that its worth so much more than what they charge here! I plan to come here for all my future cuts and designs.

Revised: First two times here was great, different barber third time time was ok, walked out on fourth barber because he didn’t seem to know what he was doing . Had a call from manager apologizing for miscue and said she was willing to make it good. I might try them again in the future.

I guess I expected more. Its got a great look, professional products, but I felt the consultation, and the haircut itself, was lacking. Oh well, the search continues...

This place is awesome. Best spot in town for beard care, beardsmithing, and hair cuts and styles. Now here is the kicker, they are attached to a sweet bar with food, two stages, 2 bars, games and more. I even had a beer while getting a trim. The people are awesome also. They answered my beard care questions. I picked up some Haymaker Beard Balm and my beard is looking much nicer.

Long term customer. Ive been going here for almost 5 yrs, cant find anything comparable in the Treasure Valley. They always do a great job on hair and my beard. Its one thing to get a good result but the staff here are always welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking, conveniently located. And, the staff take all precautions to protect the customer in these crazy Covid times.

No answer?Honestly seems like they charge more than their competition and cut less hair 😂 the system is set up on high prices and exclusive appointments, meaning they dont care about the actual customer so much as just having a steady stream of overly priced appointments.Cool gimmick with the free beer though? They might actually give good haircuts but one wouldnt know until you wait several weeks for an opening.

Love the Beardsmith! Been going here for about 5 years now and I am never disappointed. Normally, Wendy brings the magic, but Chelsea took care of me today and did an amazing job! As long as I have a beard, I will be coming here. People who rate this place lower than 5 stars don’t know what they are talking about and probably don’t know anything about beards or just grew one for fun and will move on to the next hipster thing on their list so don’t put any stock in those trolls. Get down here, have a craft brew, and be prepared to be treated like a king!

First time visiting yesterday and got a haircut and beard trim. Love how everyone connects with their customers and welcomes you in. Kevin did an awesome job for me. I walked in looking like a street bum and out looking sharp and professional. Worth every penny. The whole experience was pleasant and relaxing. Kevin took the time to find out what my style was, making sure I was comfortable with everything and liking how I looked. Best part is, my wife loved how it looked when I got home!

Wendy and her crew are talented and trained to the highest of standards of the beard and barber game. They offer great beard moustache and hair products including their home made products which really stand up to the high end companies. And for an added bonus of customer service they offer a free beer. If you want the best service and and products to keep your beard epic and on point, The Beardsmith is the only place to be.

The attention to detail is outstanding. My particular barber has no problem with any requests, be it with my beard or haircut. A little spendy, but this is somewhere I feel I get what I pay for.

Update: I appreciate their customer service after finally reaching out to meI ordered their products and paid for 3 day shipping. It has now been about 7 business days and still no shipping note. I only live 30 minutes away. It shouldnt take that long to have something shipped. If you cant fulfill the order in the time that you have on your site then you shouldnt have that as an option. I emailed and dont ever get a response. I called and still no response. Disappointed I am out 10 dollars for shopping since I wanted it rushed here. I heard alot good things about their stuff so I spent about 80 dollars and unfortunately this will most likely be my last 80 dollars I spend here.

My teenage sons have recently started going to Beardsmith for haircuts in spite of not having beards.The atmosphere is appealing for guys, and there are many talented barbers. One son had a bad haircut one time, but the owner was quick to address a training issue and the barber was new.The shop opens up to a bar/restaurant and men who are over 21 can enjoy a beer while having their hair cut and beard treatments.Prices are only a couple dollars more than places like Sports clips and the service and consistency is much better. Plus, it is a locally owned small business.
