I was on a road trip cross country and had a leaky tire I had just bought brand new in Vegas. The town had no wifi that day and AAA recommended this place. Im so glad they did! Ethan was kind and professional and quickly replaced my valve stem. I was driving with my dog in the heat of August and he saved the day! He also didnt even charge me! This was all in the span of about 30 minutes. Thank you so much! I recommend them to anyone!

We hit a horrible pothole on the interstate on the way to Albuquerque and bent a rim on our Lincoln MKZ. After 3 shops in Gallup weren’t able to help us, A-J got us in as soon as we got there, had the special tire/rim we needed, rotated our tires, reset the tire pressure sensors, and filled up all the tires. We were back on the road in 45 minutes, and the ride is so smooth! The staff were incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful. We are so thankful we found A-J and highly recommend it to anyone looking for help with tires. Without them, we wouldn’t have made it to my brother’s wedding. THANK YOU, A-J!!

Wanted new tires for my car waited in line for 15 mintues, girl behind the counter was very rude and unpleasant went to Mr. Tire on same street the guy was very very nice extremely fast service 800 dollars for 4 new fresh Yokohamas, even joked with the guy shared stories on my diffrent mismatched treads never doing business with AJ Tires.

Traveling from South Carolina on our way to Vegas our tire almost blew out, we stopped here and they were awesome! Had everything done in about 20 minutes. Super friendly and efficient.

We had stopped here to get our car checked up on a cross country road trip. Very friendly people and they have some smart technicians. Also they have Hunters Road Force wheel balancer. Those who know their cars, know the wheel balance on them is the most accurrate. I wish them best.

I tried to be nice to the people here and yet the Hispanic gentlemen very rude and had like a dislike towards me and was waiting there like 30 mins just to get a new tire so I left asked the Hispanic lady nicely she had effin attitudes too if you dont want my business be glad to take it elsewhere!!!!

We were traveling from Kansas City to Phoenix with our travel trailer and blew a tire 35 miles outside of Gallup. I called A-J who told me they had the 4 tires we needed in stock and held them for us. When we got there they were very friendly and helpful and had 4 new tires balanced and on our trailer in less than 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend!

The price for shocks & struts...& labor for my car were the lowest compared to others. I also took into consideration this is a local business to support, especially nowadays; and i was referred by a co-worker.I dropped off my car first thing in the morning and got busy doing several errands with my dad. It was later in the afternoon I called only to find they didnt have the right cell number AND the parts were not the right ones for my car. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed and upset. Before the guy hung up on me, (I was still talking), i made sure he had my cell number and the right one --because although I told him, he didnt. He also told me it wasnt their fault. Really?, so this my fault? Nonetheless, I agreed to keep my car there overnight. The right parts were installed the next day. I paid what the initial guy quoted me. When i picked up my car i left and realized, the invoice was not explained to me. Oh well.Part of this was my fault, but had they saw me more as a potential loyal customer, I wouldnt have experienced what I did ---the Customer Service needs improvement.I will look for tires elsewhere.

Took long to get help. But the tire was good

Don’t go there!!! Never shall I get service by them ever again. They replace an engine on my vehicle and come to find out they put the fan backwards back on my truck! Also, they replace my clutch on my car, and still within 2 months or so, the clutch burned out due to not the right size clutch they put in my car. They also replace a fuel pump and still the issue was still the same after they replace a fuel pump for me. I spent so much money there, they told me to not come bAck, all I was doing was trying to do what I deserve for my vehicles to be fixed correctly...

We pulled a trailer out to Arizona, on the way we found out one of the tires was wearing on the inside. We took it into aj tires & Buck told us that the axle was probably bent. Buck was really awesome he helped us get back on the road fast and he listened to what we needed and didnt try to oversell the service. Its nice to know there are still people out there that will take care of you when youre on the road. Thanks Buck & AJ tire and auto center we really appreciate everything you did for us.

My low tire pressure light came on. Did a visual check could tell one tire was lower than the rest, got some air in it, but wanted to know why, nail? Cut? I have full warranty on them, but closest franchise is in Albuquerque. Any way nothing wrong with tires except that they were all low. Tech explained how the system works. Brought them all up to spec. They didnt charge me. Very professional, but warm and friendly! Will be going back if I need tire service.And they were giving gifts!

Still the best tire place in Gallup. Let me know when I had an out of round tire when the dealer was perfectly happy to keep throwing balance weights at the wheel.

I had a new set of all-terrains mounted and balanced today. When my snow tires were installed a few monyhs ago the mechanic (elsewhere) told me he couldnt balance them due to rim damage and I have had a serious shaking at interstate speed ever since. AJ checked it out, said the rim ran true, and the new tire balanced okay. I kind of thought that was too good to be true so ran it up to 95 mph on the way home. *Smooth a silk*. Like a new truck. Tire mechanic was Randy. Ill be going back in November when I need my snow tires out back on!

Picked up a slow leak traveling from New York to Los Angeles. They got me in first thing in the morning no problem. Great prices and great service!

Had a blowout on my 30 ft fifth wheel just 10 miles from Gallop NM. State patrol helped me put the spare on and I stopped in Gallop to get a replacement. Tire tech suggested we move spare back to its storage spot and put the new tire on the trailer. No charge for the swap. Had me back on the road in 30 minutes.

Had what I needed without a long qait.

Ok, this rating is no reflection of the employees or the service. This review is a reflection of the Managers lack of knowledge when it comes to vehicle alignment. If you have a truck that is lifted by 1.5 inches or more, there is different specs that apply to the alignment of your vehicle. If the manager tells you, its the same weather lifted or stock... Go some place that deals with 4wd vehicles because this place is purely a stock alignment facility! End of discussion!

I purchased tires and it comes with warranty that free service will be provided if anything should happen to the tire yet i still end up paying for the service

Exceptional service! I was passing through town on the way to San Diego from Colorado, and my tire started going flat just outside of town. I pulled in to AJ just as it was pretty much flat. Even though they couldnt help me themselves, they called several different tire shops to find out who had what I needed, then they put my spare tire on for me, and gave me directions to the other shop. All without me asking them to do any of this, and they didnt charge me anything. Thank you for going the extra mile to make my day a little easier!

Flat tore in Gallop, NM 15 minutes out. Googled tires in Gallop and located A-J Tires. Put the donut on and drove there 45 minutes before close on a holiday weekend. They hooked me up with 2 fresh, new tires and onward for the remainder of my road trip!!! Great guys nd ahop.

If you are having a vehicle crisis, this is the place! Our truck broke down near here while on our way back to Missouri and we landed here! While issues can be unpredictable at times having professionals doing the job helps ease the stress.Bill consistently kept informed re the statuses the truck. The mechanic, Todd, took the time to find the problem and to fix it. God always gives a lifeline and we are truly grateful to Cheryl and Bill for their human kindness and amazing staff!We were even shuttled to the local museum to explore a bit!

A great tire service! All staff members were friendly, courteous and professional. I highly recommend stopping for your tire repairs. Very informative and helpful to resolve vehicle maintenance issues.

They charged me for what they told me that I didnt need, broke the valve stem with the sensor, had to have it replaced, now the low air sensor is on, which never came on before. I was told that it was low battery on all of the sensors. ASE certified mechanics is questionable. I would not recommend this place if you have a vehicle that has air sensors.

Had a tire blow on our 5th wheel about 30 minutes out of Gallup on day 2 of our 2 week vacation. Got in about an hour before the shop closed and got brand new tires all the way around. Staff was Extremely helpful, even bumped us to the front of the line, knowing we had 3 more hours of travel time before our next stop! Got all 6 tires changed in 1 1/2 hours!

Got the struts replaced and alignment done.. for 1,500 but they have a payment plan as long as you have an active checking account with a down payment of 55.This kind of job requires a few hours say 6 hrs. Just so you dont wait all day ..Thanks A-J Tires great job

Family and I are on our way to Albuquerque for a few days. I have been researching various tires and shops to purchase some AT tires for my 2016 Tacoma.A-J Tires & Auto Center is the place to go. I found their prices and huge stock of tires to be to my satisfaction. Had numerous tires to select from. Their customer services was by far the best I have encountered. Not once did I feel any pressure into buying what I did not need.I plan on being a customer in the future when buying new tires. Thank you A-Js for the awesome experience.

So they helped us with some new tires while on the road. Went in with a one tire issue and came out ‘needing’ 4 tires for almost 1300 bucks.. 2 weeks later I have to buy 4 new tires because they sold us ones that are not rated for our 2500 Silverado! We will see if the tire pros warranty is honored tomorrow....Long story short these guys went out of their way to make this right! They replaced the tires at no cost to us. Thanks!

Overpriced

About 20 miles outside of Gallup, on Saturday of Memorial Weekend, we had a flat tire. Because our wheel lock key was missing, we had to be towed into Gallup. I called ahead to A-J Tires to see if they were open. They said yes and that they would find the tires and have them ready for us. When we finally arrived, they put their best crew to work to break the wheel locks. We have an Audi and they are very difficult to disable, but the team worked until they devised a way. They told us that they would be there until we were on the road. They were very kind and never made us feel that we were a bother. They only charged us an hour of labor even though it was significantly longer for them to get the wheels off. What could have been a very dire situation for us turned into a positive experience. We highly recommend them.

I have been to several other tire stores in Gallup over the last 20 years and none of them have been as polite straightforward efficient or as professional as AJ Tires . It was an extremely pleasant experience overall. (Even though the power went out in that section of the city for over an hour--not their fault!)

After calling them to get information on the price of mounting and balancing a set of new tires on my car I decided to go there based on the good reviews I saw here on Google. The service took about 1 hour and a half. When my car was ready I noticed they, without my permission, moved my front tires to the back and the back to the front. I asked them why they did this and their reason was that the wider tires belong in the back. They didnt know that a Pontiac GXP has two different tire sizes for the front and rear. The front tires are wider for better control, as its a v8 front wheel drive. I told them I wanted the problem to be fixed and tires back to their original position. The tire tech continued to try and convince me that thats how the tires are supposed to be and even told me thats how the car came in, admitting no fault, until I had to keep repeating to him thats not how the tires were when I brought my car to their shop. After our back and forth I was told to sit and wait for a manager to speak with. I never got to speak to the manager. After about 15 mintues the same tire tech came back and reluctantly agreed to have my tires switched front to back, back to front. When I got my car back, wheels where theyre supposed to be, I got no apologies for the time wasted there or for their mistake, just a well you learn something new everyday. from the tire tech. Youd think mounting tires would be easy and hassle free for these Tire Pros but my experience there proved otherwise. Id check around for other tire shops before Id go to this one if I were you.

My wife and I are driving cross country, which started in Syracuse, NY, took us across northern US and southern Canada, then down the west coast, now heading east through the SW back home. We developed a thumping and rumbling going through the desert. We stopped in Gallup at A-J Tires. Buck, the owner took personal responsibility to diagnose the problem in separated belts due to the wrong load range tires being onstalled by the dealer in Syracuse, and obtaining the correct ones from his warehouse in Albuquerque, having them installed and getting back on the road, all at a reasonable price. Great service to a customer he will probably never see again

I bought 4 tires from this business back in February and an alignment. The customer service is amazing and they get things done in a timely manner. I took my car back yesterday for its rotation and balance, I only spent 30 minutes and it was complete. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my car!

I stopped to get help with tires purchased at AJs. They checked the air level since my low tire light came on during snow. There was no charge and they treated me with respect. Took a little time since they were very busy but understandable. Just needed a little air because of cold weather. They didnt try to sell me amything and i was on my way. I was grateful they were there.

The staff at AJ Tires are courteous and service is prompt. Since I came to Gallup 2 years ago, they have been trustworthy providers of excellent service for my truck.

We are driving across country and while going through New Mexico our air conditioning was failing and the temperature was 112 degrees. The three unhappy cats we were carrying were begging us…Pep Boys wasn’t able to give a diagnostic because their tech was at lunch and had one customer pending. I did a Google search and A-J came up. I called and they said to come on over and they would check it out. 20 minutes later the gentleman (sorry, forgot name) test drove it and hooked it up for testing. He was very personable and even considered parking in the shade to keep cats from heating up, etc. Compressor was going bad… A-J hooked us up and we were back on the road in about 90 minutes. The expense was nominal and the service was the best. I wish you guys great success!
