Bartlett has been taking care of our cherry blossom in our front yard for years they do a fantastic job and come out on time every time. I wouldnt think of going with any other tree service to take care of our beautiful cherry blossom.

We had a variety of work to be done on our property ranging from pruning branches on some trees, cutting back trees from the house, to removing a dead tree. Michael scheduled the estimate, he was on time and professional. We had an estimate within an hour of the visit. He quickly set us up with a time to have the work done. The crew showed up on time and quickly took care of the issues. They were amazing, they did an excellent job and cleaned up all the debris from our yard. They worked quickly and professionally. There are all kinds of tree removal companies, we are delighted with the service that Bartletts provided. They are absolute professionals, my neighbor was also impressed and is going to call them too.

Michael Leibfreid, Arborist for Bartlett Tree Service, came out to diagnose several issues we are having with our Green Giant trees and Holly trees on our property. He is knowledgeable, was prompt and has prescribed a sound plan going forward that we are hopeful will help all of our trees. Highly recommend him.

Bartlett treated my beloved dogwood tree for a disease and fertilized my peach trees. In my experience, they operated independently so I didnt need to be home when they did their work.

I am a small residential account with only two trees that require fertilizer and pruning, but Bartlett, and in particular my representative, Joel Spano, treat me like I am their biggest customer. I appreciate Joels advice, knowledge, email newsletters, and quick replies whenever I have a question. AND, most importantly, the treatments have revived my beloved Crabapple tree, and is helping my pine tree stave off the Needlecast disease.

Our own experience with Bartlett has been a nightmare. We purchased evergreen pines 9 of them and had them for several years, until we decided to get another forester as Bartlett was not performing well with their technicians. We gave the technician the check and he misplaced it and came storming into our property accusing us liars. He then found the check in the glove compartment in front of us.We decided to change and interviewed Davey tree. The expert came and the first thing he looked at was how the pines were planted. The worst nightmare happened.He showed us that Bartlett never removed the chains from the trees. So the trees grew with the chain eroding the stump. The bottom grew very thin and the tree on the upper part grew normal. Today we had to remove all our trees, because they are all falling down due to this terrible mistake Bartlett did. It is costing us $8 thousand to replace. If there was a ZERO STAR I would do that. Do not trust them.

Ive been with Bartlett Tree Experts for several years. Two factors make them exceptional--their service and their expertise. My arborist representative, Ryan Grubb, made a point to form a personal relationship from the beginning. He is accessible; he listens to every question; he seeks outside advice when he doesnt know an answer; he responds respectfully and quickly to my concerns; he is honest. Recently I had a large tree hit by lightning. He assessed the tree immediately after my call; he offered a detailed and informed appraisal of options; when I opted to remove the tree he informed the crew of my concerns about damage to surrounding bushes and the crew took down the tree and ground the stump with hardly a trace of damage to the surrounding foliage; when I expressed concern about remaining mulch from the stump grinding, he had a crew out within days to remove the extra mulch. Because I can trust him, and because I know I can reach him if something happens to my trees, I stay with Bartlett. In fact, every single person working at my house for Bartlett has been responsible, friendly, and has completed the job to satisfaction. Even Luis who sprays my trees makes a point of stopping to say a personal hello when he is spraying a neighbors trees next door.The second reason I stay with Bartlett is their expertise. I can attest to their quality service for pruning my large, old growth trees; pest/disease control; and large tree removal. I feel I have received top value for what I pay Bartlett for their services, and I recommend them highly, without reservation.

I cant rate this company on the work it did because I didnt receive any services from it, but since its description includes Professionalism as one of its principles, I will rate it on its level of professionalism.I completed a make-an-appointment form on this companys website in the week following the great storm (6/29/2012) because part of the tree in front of my house broke off and was leaning against my house, so I needed it removed. I received a call from a lady the following day saying that the company was extremely busy removing fallen trees from all around the area, so no one could stop by my house to provide me with an estimate until the following week. That was understandable, so I said told her it was OK. She said that since the tree was in front of the house and there was no special access needed, someone would just stop by at some point in the following week and then call me to provide me with an estimate. She did not want to make an appointment or commit to a specific day because of how busy they were. I understood. One week passed by...no call. Two weeks passed by...no call. Three weeks passed by...no call. Four weeks passed by...no call. I decided to complete the form again because I still needed the tree removed. This time they didnt call at all.I understand that maybe they were busy and have not been able to make time for my small job, but a company that calls itself professional would have had an employee take five minutes to call, or send an email to provide some kind of an update. I truly professional company would have provided that update within the time frame in which a service was promised. A somewhat professional company would have provided that update a day or two late. A company with no professionalism at all does not provide an update at all.

Joshua Nadler was very knowledgeable, as well as personable. He is very easy to talk to, and understands the needs of our property. Due to their hard work, our property looks great, especially our tree lined driveway! Danny the technician is very thorough, and explains the treatments, and is always a pleasure to be serviced by. I cannot overstate my satisfaction with the performance of these two employees.

We had very good experience.

The simple job of trimming two trees took two visits to complete due largely to the representatives (Michael Leibfreid) and crews failure to keep scheduled appointments. The first time the appointment was scheduled the crew no-showed. The representative did not reach out to me until the following day to apologize or even inform me they werent going to show up. They then said to me they would be in touch soon to reschedule. I reached out 5 days later because I still hadnt heard from them and came home to one of the two trees having been trimmed. This means that crewmembers were on my property without permission and without notifying me before or after the work took place. They were not able to do the work in the front because my vehicle was there (which wouldnt have been the case if I had known they were coming). I notified the representative that work still needed to be done and expressed concern that I hadnt known they were coming that day. He said he would come out to take a look and that he sent the crew there because they finished up a previous job earlier than expected and they were close. While I appreciate efficiency, this is taking liberties with access to my property that I did not authorize and is also treating my job as a when we get around to it type job. To make matters worse, he confirmed the crew needed to revisit, we scheduled a time and date and they failed to show up again. The work was finally completed on a third date under my direct supervision.

Granted, I did call to make an appointment after seeing the news prediction of a major storm coming, and I understand that many other homeowners who waited until the last minute are also inundating the tree services. However, the lady who answered the phone was rude, curt and used unnecessary words when she stated It is not feasible. It is 3pm on a Friday (as if I needed a time check! condescending) in reference to my inquiry for a pre-storm job. I went ahead and booked an appointment, out of desperation. But then, at the end of the call, she asked How did you hear about us, and I answered (to help their marketing effort, not required of me!) that I had asked around and searched online, the retort was And youve gotten the same answer everywhere (matter-of-fact tone, condescending tone). Inappropriate.Not exactly customer-friendly. I sure hope I get better service moving forward. I will certainly be updating this on my Facebook, Yelp, Angies List and Google reviews.

Amazing service at a great price!!! I have dealt with many businesses when doing work on our house in Gaithersburg and called a couple of tree removal companies before deciding for Bartlett Tree Experts but I have to say, they are THE BEST of the best! Very impressed with their customer service, with the way they answer any questions or concerns you may have about a tree removal and also their prices are awesome. Much better than the other companies we called! We decided on Bartlett because another company in the area was constantly late returning our calls and in general treated us poorly when we called with questions. Also their prices were much higher. The tree in our back yard had to go so I called Bartlett late one evening and left a voice message. By 9am the next day their receptionist called back and we had an appointment for an estimate. She was great! On the day of the appointment a very nice and professional young man, JOSH NADLER, called me to discuss the tree we wanted removed, any concerns we had about the removal and to suggest an estimate. We decided for a date when they were available and they did a wonderful job removing the tree and cleaning up the area. No hassle, no stress and they always did what they said they would. THANK YOU Bartlett for your outstanding services! I have already recommended you to our friends in the Gaithersburg area and we hope to work with you in the future!!!
