Ive been coming here on and off for years, but just recently started coming frequently every couple of weeks to get my acrylics redone. The staff is very nice and always gives me what I ask for. My nails always last a long time. The one time they didnt and one popped off a couple days after I got them done, they redid the nail free of charge with a very welcoming attitude. Will never go anywhere else :)

I do NOT recommend Venus!Editing my review: after posting on Google and Yelp, I finally received an email back and got a full refund for this. Thank you, Venus!I had an appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure. Upon entry and sitting, I was never given the option or asked to pick my color and had to ask for the key ring of options. My heels were barely exfoliated or buffed, with extra attention to one foot and nearly none on the other. My toenail polish is clumpy with many spots missed, though it was one simple color. Then my nightmare manicure started. 3 cuticles were severely bleeding and again, my polish was clumpy, uneven, with missed spots. The woman bumped my finger that I did not move and messed up the polish and scoffed at me as if it was my fault. She painted 5 layers of polish over it until I asked her to redo that nail so it wouldn’t be so thick. Two of my cuticles bled for two days every time I washed my hands and I had to keep a bandaid on them! Less than 4 days later, my manicure looks 2 weeks old / grown out / chipped and my cuticles are still incredibly sore. I took photos and emailed the owners 3 times with no response. Incredibly disappointed. I have had better nail jobs done by 8 year olds I babysit. I have NO IDEA how this place has so many great reviews!!

We called ahead for two pedicures, and they said come right on in. The facility was VERY clean, and I was very impressed by the sanitizing process they went through. The staff was friendly. They did a great job on our nails. We also purchased two cute bracelets that they had on display in a show case. I highly recommend this salon!

I would like to give them five stars, but Ive been unsatisfied with my nails multiple times. The environment is gorgeous, great customer service, and the salon very clean.The downside, I got a matching Pedi and acrylic nail or so I thought, the colors didnt match correctly. The next day later, one of my nails broke off, and not to mention the shape of the nails is not the best.They have some great nail techs there, but on the other hand, a couple of nail techs can improve their skills. This is coming from a usual customer but unfortunately, I will be finding a new location.Update: went back to get my nails fixed. Yeah, that was a major mistake, they look worse. Instead of starting over with a new set, the nail tech filed the shape down (with polish still on) and painted over the original polish. The double set of gel created bubbles and peeled off. The shape still looks bad.😡

I decided to try this nail salon out after it was recommended by many. There are several work stations however, I would still call and make an appointment because they seemed a bit busy. The facility looks clean. Technician was nice but she was a bit in of a hurry. However, my gel manicure did last quite a while ~3 weeks. Prices are fair. There are several colors to chose from but I was disappointed to see they did not have OPI gel polishes in their collection. I would probably go back.

Manager does not inform tech of Appt therefore even though I have an appointment for a named tech I have had to wait 30 to 60 minutes before I am seen by that tech because they were not told about the appointment perhaps I am not considered a valued costumer The Tech gives great service

Photo of my manicure from yesterday attached. My cuticles were completely neglected. This was essentially a polish change. Come on, it does not get more basic than a simple manicure but this salon can’t even do this right? Not my first negative experience here. Wish they would up their game.

I was extremely pleased with the dip SNS powder manicure which I received at Venus Nail Spa. The nail technician did an impeccable job, spending approximately an hour and a half to create a beautiful ombre effect on my nails. In addition, the spa is beautiful and clean, and offers a huge selection of colors of nail polish, gel polish, and dipping powder. They also offer various nail designs and styles, if you want something beyond the regular monocolor manicure or pedicure. The prices are also very reasonable ($35 for a dip powder manicure) and the work is impeccable! I highly recommend this nail salon and wish I had something comparable where I live in DC.

Ive been going here for a few years. The staff are really nice, the prices are fair but not cheap. As with most nail salons the quality of your service may depend on the tech but no one here has ever done a bad job on my nails, some are just better. Services Ive had done here: spa pedicure, reflexology add on, regular manicure, manicure with full set, fill in, gels, dip powder & eyebrow wax. I will say, when I got dip powder fills done they didnt soak my hands in water but those were my favorite manicures, results-wise. That said, they can do basic nails to fancy/complicated stuff, you just have to ask (obviously, theres up charges).The remodel is really bright & open, really nicely done. They have a ton of stations & pedicure chairs, really clean.I think the best selections of colors are for gel & dip powder but if you find a color you like in one product they can almost always match it to another product, dont be afraid to ask. Theyre really good about pulling out fresh bottles of polish if the one you chose is getting a bit gunky too.I really like this place. They do get really busy so its best to call ahead or make an appointment ESPECIALLY if you & your friends are trying to get done at the same time. Let them know you have an appointment when you walk in. Also, pay in cash! They take cards but they really appreciate cash instead & I love the ladies here so I try to comply, but they wont give you attitude for using a card.

They also repaired the nail quickly and look them so nice. Will definitely be back next week for a refill on my full set. Best nail salon in the heights hands down.

I finally found a place I absolutely LOVE. I went in with a picture I found on yelp and explained what I wanted for. Theyre very sharp witted in their color. And they made sure took pride in their nails scarf! They have made a loyal customer out of me. And my experience here was well worth.

I have been using Venus nail salon for many years and they are the cleanest nail salon in Gainesville even before COVID-19 the salon is beautiful.

Older man is not very friendly and doesnt do his job with care. Heres rough and uncaring.The younger men and all the woman are great! Great chairs, and location.Need more colors

I have been here a few times since salons re opened after COVID. I have been very comfortable with the changes they made to keep things clean and safe for everyone. I went somewhere else last week and that was a huge mistake. Less than 24 hours later I was back at this salon and had them fix the terrible job done elsewhere. They are always so sweet and do a great job at dip powder. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Unfortunately my pedicure was very disappointing. When I got there there were two people already getting theirs but mine was done way before they were done.I had to get another pedicure 4 days after.

Venus is a basic nail salon but I’ve never waited longer than 15 minutes for service. It doesn’t matter if you have an appointment, so I never have to call and always just walk in. My gel manicures last 2 weeks and I bite and pick my nails incessantly. I had Vi today and I think she’s my favorite nail tech! Very sweet with a great sense of humor. Generally there’s not much conversation apart from a random question here or there, which I think is nice after a day of work where I do nothing but talk to people. This nail salon has also never hurt me and they generally work pretty fast.

I HAVE come here semi-regularly for almost a year now. They are the best ive ever hadAnd always listened to my any needs! So even after 2. 5 weeks of nail growth, the growth is not too noticeable. Would coming back here. & This is an amazing place.

Dirty utensils. I asked her to show me the sanitizing bag - she couldn’t. She just kept pulling used tools out of the drawer. I asked for new tools. She obliged and proceeded to give me one of the sloppiest pedicures of my life. FYI - not a single nail tech went and got fresh tools from the sanitizer when I was there and it was packed. Beware!!!

Beautiful place, friendly people, reasonable prices, and a lot of choices of services BUT my regular manicure lasted 3 days and my gel pedicure lasted less than a month when it usually stays 5-6 weeks. Polish peeled off in sheets which means the polish is old and/or not applied properly. Wont be returning - prefer my no frills salon for a better value.

I have been coming here for almost 5 years. I have came to the same lady for the last 2. I just came in for a pedicure and let someone new assist me. My appointment was at 1, I sat in the chair at 1, it is 1:11pm and my polish is already about done being put on. I was cut not once but twice. This is a huge disappointment. Was rushed from the second i walked in the door to pick out my polish. Absolutely appalled that when I have someone besides the two ladies I see the service is like this. At a loss for words.

I went in last Saturday because I got a gift certificate from a friend. I have never thought of this spa because every time I went by it it just didnt seem like the group of ladies were very professional. But someone gave it to me as a gift so I figured it was because it was a decent place. When I walked in the women were friendly and seemed to want to listen to what I wanted.I wanted to try their spa pedicure with paraffin wax. Another woman had walked in at the same time as me and only wanted their cheapest pedicure (without the paraffin wax). As I sat there I saw a lot of inconsistencies between the two women doing the work since I was sitting right next to the other woman that had walked in. My technician didnt seem to be as thorough, even though I asked. I asked for them to use the callus shaver for my heels because I like it better. I was told that they dont use that there and used a different tool that looked like a pedi-egg but with a handle.As the pedicure continued the woman would not do certain things that even the woman paying less money was getting. But I tried to keep an open mind because she seemed to be trying to do a good job. Ultimately she finished my pedicure at the same time the other technician finished the shorter pedicure. All in all the experience wasnt horrible, but where it gets bad is that not two days later my heels have cracks, which Ive never had before, and they are dry, rough and looking worse than when I went in! Why would anyone pay $32 for a pedicure that you have to get redone in a week?I normally go to Happy Nails by Target and their pedicures last at least 3 weeks! Yes, 3 weeks!!! I will not go back here and I would never send anyone. Oh and during the time they were working the two technicians you could tell were clearly making fun of another technicians work. Not a good work ethic if you ask me. Go to Happy Nails if youre looking for inexpensive, good pedicure.

Did a decent job, but not even a week after I got my acrylics one broke, and for design they put stickers on your nails

I had an appointment at 1:30. Did not seat me until 2 pm. At 2:15, the technician realized she was double booked and shifted me to another technician. I had to wait another 10 minutes for the new technician. The new technician was rough on my cuticles causing bleeding on a finger. A manicure consists of rubbing some cheap lotion on your hands- which I could have done. I will not be returning to this establishment
