These are some of the nasties over prices rude people I have ever met. I was told i had to spend over 400 dollars YEARLY JUST TO HAVE MY COMPUTER COVERD. my car insurance doesnt even cost this much. it takes forever to get someone on the phone (if you do mind you) the people you talk to clearly think they are better then you for whatever reason. tech support online- is farrr worse-(IF THATS EVEN POSSABLE) (IT IS) not only do they not listen, I had to call like 8 times and my stuff is still not fixed they made it worse. i have always talked about how much i loved BestBuy and geek squad but after today ill have to find someone else with better values and customers service because they are not it

God awful customer service. Waited in line for 25 minutes only to be told that showing up to an 11:40-12 appointment at 11:50 means I have to reschedule. Reschedule an appointment I waited two weeks to get, that is. Dude who appears to be in charge of the Geek Squad was rude the entire time and acted like he hated his job, which I guess I can’t blame him for considering they clearly book far more people than they can handle. Unfortunately they’re the only authorized apple service providers in Gville, so congrats to them on monopolizing the market and forcing me to go back to their terrible service. See you in another 2 weeks Geek Squad

There’s a reason this Apple certified repair location has 2 stars. Their customer service is seriously lacking and staff is rude and unprofessional. They are NOT up to par with the customer service I’m used to receiving with Apple. It’s a shame this is who Apple Support recommends for repairs.Geek Squad is always running behind with scheduled appointments and today I was told I would have to r/s my appointment just because I arrived a few minutes late, even though I waited in line for over 25-30 minutes just to check in. The associate I had the displeasure of dealing with was WILLIAM and he was extremely disrespectful and combative during our interaction. In the time he spent ARGUING with me and causing a scene about being a few minutes late, the problem could have very well been resolved and I could’ve walked away a happy customer. It baffles me that someone with such poor interpersonal skills works face to face with customers all day. Customer satisfaction is not something they strive for, therefore, save yourself the headache and take your money elsewhere!!

We had an Apple phone serviced at Geek Squad 11/12/2020, and we bought a “new” battery from them. The Geek Squad installed the “new” battery for us.When we left the building and arrived at our vehicle to go home, the battery and phone were totally dead! When we arrived home, we plugged the phone in and discovered the following message:“Your battery’s health is significantly degraded.”The maximum battery capacity showed 65%.After about an hour on the phone charger, the phone showed 100%charged. However, as soon as the phone was unplugged from the charger, the phone went dead and battery charged icon showed in the extreme red position and the battery was dead.We then placed a phone call to the Geek Squad and were put on hold for over an hour. Just as I was about to disconnect the call, someone came on the phone. They never identified themselves and asked for “phone number and name.”As soon as I asked if I was speaking with someone from Geek Squad, they hung up on me. Tomorrow, I will go the the store.To say this is poor customer service is an understatement!

I brought me Alienware Aurora R7 to gets it motherboard replaced. They installed a completely different operating system that doesn’t work with Alienware because it’s not Alienware. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. On top of that I received my pc with scratches all along the side as if the just threw it on its side and slid it on a shelf with the rest of their victims. I would not recommend this service to anyone. They’re a bunch on clowns who don’t know what they’re doing

Only reason I gave it a 2 star instead of a 1 star is the fact that they did their job with our computer. But the customer service is terrible. Made an appointment, then came in at the time of our appointment and was told there is no way there is 3 people scheduled at this time. Funny because she was the same person who scheduled our appointment. Its not the customers fault that you over booked.

The service representatives were all very polite and attentive to my issue. They worked with me each step to figure out possible fixes for my laptop. I would give them 5 stars. I do not blame them at all for the issues I experienced with Geek Squad.The main problem was the repair service. I had overheating problems with my laptop, so I requested a cleanup of the fan and replacement of the thermal paste on the heat sink. It was not until after I paid and 4 days after on the day of the pickup was I informed that they do not do thermal paste replacement on laptops. They only did some minor software and driver updates on my laptop, nothing that I couldnt do on my own. This did not fix the issue as the problem I had with the laptop was with the hardware. I also noticed that they did not do an adequate job with cleaning the fan. The fan on my laptop is an internal component, which means you have to take out the DVD drive and take off the bottom panel to access it. The tamper stickers that were over the screws and panel of the laptop were completely undisturbed, indicating that the laptop was never opened.I demonstrated to the service representative that the issues with my laptop had not been fixed. They were very understanding and agreed with my evaluation. They also did not know why the service technicians did not open the bottom panel to clean out the fan. The service representative was also not informed by the technicians that they dont do hardware work on laptops. Luckily, they were able to issue me a refund.

I accidentally overwrote my OS and was having troubles reinstalling Windows. The Geek Squad agent that assisted me was straight with me and helpful, although the time it would have taken them to reinstall was too long for me to agree to, he answered my questions and gave me pointers as to how to do this myself. With the advice he gave me, I was able to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop without assistance. Although Geek Squad did not actually service my PC in anyway, I just want to show my appreciation for this agent. He was a huge huge help AND saved me time and money.

Came couple times to make appointment and finnaly made it, but I came late for 20 minutes and the customer service lady was so rude and unprofessional asked me to make another appointment. Who the hell are you... Did you thinking only your company that can do the services here in Gainesville... You lost your customer already for sure!

Very disappointed with their service and lack of knowledge. Took my Lenovo laptop to them to get an estimate for a broken hinge. The employee told me the cables were likely severed (untrue, the laptop still worked) and it would cost the price of a new laptop to fix as it was out of warranty. I took it to another shop, Impact Computers, and they informed me this was a common defect with that brand of Lenovo laptops. Instead of charging me to fix it, they recommended I call up Lenovo and ask about getting it fixed for free as it was a manufacturing issue. Lenovo fixed it for free and I only paid $40 for shipping. So, thanks for nothing Geek Squad. You either know nothing about laptops or were trying to scam me into buying a new laptop while I was there.

I bought a SONY ULTRAHD TV and paid to have it delivered and installed. One guy said I needed to get a new cable box to hook it the TV. After they left, I turned it on and several speakers didnt work. (I have six and they all worked fine with my older flat screen TV.) After I talked to a manger, I got them to come back the next day. I had gotten a new cable box. It seemed to be fine. Then I started getting an echo and only some of the speakers worked. So I called SONY and they said it was a product defect. Then I went back to best buy to return the one I bought and have it replaced with a new one. The same guys came out, said the speakers were all working, it wasnt a product defect, the echo problem was part of the product, and then quickly left before I could see if they were right. So I go in my room and the TV is still on as they left and only two speakers were working!

Hello. I am very disappointed in Geek Squad. I came with a friend to get his battery replaced, and it took over an hour for us to just give them the phone and fill out a little paperwork. It should have taken 10 minutes at most. A couple of days later I came to get my battery replaced, waited for forty minutes for someone to talk to me, and then was informed I could not get it replaced because of a tiny crack at the bottom of the screen. No one told me the crack would stop me from getting it replaced, that would have been very helpful information. Sincerely, disappointed.

This particular Geek Squad has poor appointment times and I would highly recommend to NOT change your iphone battery here at all. If you get lucky enough that theyre in the mood to even accept your phone after making you wait 30-40 minutes to fill out bare bones basic paperwork. Once they accept your phone they reject just about anyone after very carelessly taking apart your phone by making claims to water damage to phones that have never seen water, returning my phone with a crack on the glass in the back, and leaving a screw loose after installing a battery with lower battery life in my brothers phone that later damaged his phone screen and then did not offer any sort of compensation for the damages and claimed it was not their fault and offered to check it out with a diagnostic fee....

My hard drive was no longer being read by my BIOS and presumably dead. The first person (Chris) helping me immediately suggested it was probably dead but he listened to everything I tried on my own and was willing to do everything I suggested. He checked my battery, he took my SSD out to see if it would be read by another machine, and showed me how my laptop was put together. Once I was confident that it was indeed the case they helped me pickout the proper m2 ssd that was needed since they didnt carry the one I needed in store. I ordered it and brought everything back and the work was done in 1 hour. They did not try to upsell me and in fact told me that since I already owned a certificate for windows 10 and that I was a software engineer that I could just install windows 10 on my own. They answered all my questions and taught me all things relevant to the problem. All in all I just had to pay for them to install the new SSD and that was money well spent for how much personal attention they give the issue. Plus everyone was super friendly.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Waited 25 minutes past my appointment time, even though when I made the appointment I stressed I was short on time. Then since I didnt have an extended plan, the repair was going to start at $1000+ and take a minimum of two weeks! I went to a local repair man, $280 and get it to you tomorrow! !!!! Never again Geek Squad!!

The worst. Brought my laptop in because it didnt restart after an update. They turned my computer on and off and told me it was dead. Went on to try to sell me a Protection Plan for the new computer I should be buying . Told me my only other option was to spend $350 to retrieve the data. My computer turned on fine the next day.

I brought them my iPhone 6 (still under warranty) with a simple sensor damage to return to Apple for repair. No damage to the phone what so ever. They hold the phone for three days then send it to apple BROKEN. Yes they broke my phone and sent it to Apple. Apple refused to fix it because the damages Best Buy caused werent under warranty. So Best Buy hands me back my broken phone, refuses to fix the damages they caused and Im stuck with a broken sensor and now a broken internal screen. DO NOT TAKE YOUR IPHONE HERE. They will claim you took the phone somewhere else where they broke it. They do not take responsibilitly for their mistakes and you will be the one paying for them. Drive the extra miles to Jacksonville, youll thank me later.

I purchased a Vizio TV from best buy and an extended warranty 3 years ago. Recently I lost the picture to the tv and called best buy. They confirmed that I purchased the extended warranty and advised to bring it in to the store. After carrying the unit in To best buy and over to the geek squad, they proceeded to hook Apple TV up and of course the picture came on. I was skeptical because of the clear issue I was having at home. I asked them if there was any type of diagnostics they could run on it and they said they dont do that, but they could send it off to the manufacturer but that could take a couple of weeks. I left the store feeling like it may or may not have a future issue and was certainly not a satisfied warranty purchaser . I was not trying to just get a new tv replacement. I was in the middle of a move and did not immidiatley hook up the tv when I returned home...after waiting a week to hook up at my new house, of course same issue, it did not work. I called geek squad and the rep totally contradicted what I was told in The store about how the tv would need to be sent back to manufacturer for testing. The rep said they just send a technician out to your house and they bring the parts needed. The technician seemed to know what part was needed and scheduled a week out to have the unit fixed. That week Geek Squad called me and said the part was delayed and we needed to schedule another week out. Today the rep showed up for the appointment came in with the part and thats not the part thats needed, they had to order another part and scheduled an appointment for another week out. So here I am, bought the extended warranty and we will be at a month by the next weekend and well hope that its the right part and it will finally be fixed so I can use my TV again. Maybe this is the norm as this is the first warranty claim that I have ever called in on and I own three Vizio televisions.f
