I have to say, I really enjoy the establishment they have and the way they run their business! Incredible! The offer of talking to the front desk like a man and the offer of getting punched in the face is amazing! Who wouldnt want this from the worst towing company ever! 5/7 wouldnt recommend.

Towed my truck for expired tag. One week expired. I asked why they didnt leave a warning like they did for my wife that had no tag at all. They said sometimes we do sometimes we dont. I understand its a business but Jesus show some human decency to your fellow man. Most police officers wont even ticket you for having a barely expired tag.

The people werent nice at all, they didnt want to fully explain what was happening with the towing experience. Wouldve appreciated some more empathy about the towing experience, especially because they are the ones who mark their prices, tow at their pleasure and almost ruin peoples days due to their business. I get that they have a running business, but to get good reviews it takes being nice to people, understanding them and giving them better advice for next time. Sorry whoever else gets towed by them!

Ultimate towing is an employer of at least one low life, butt picking, worthless pile of s**t. I had to wait for 2 hours for someone to get to the office to release my car. The voicemail clearly said after 1 hour there would be a rate reduction. When I told the driver that at the gate he told me to get out of his way and then sped up, about run my foot over. Then this fat loser tried to tell me that he sees kids like me everyday driving mommy and daddys car... Blah blah blah. Making assumptions is a good way to look like a dumb f**k, which Im sure youre used to with your mediocre lives and even more s**t business. I would have loved to have put my hands on this guy, he was real tough behind that desk. It was real hard to not catch an assault charge dealing with this company. This was over a year ago, people dont forget! Karma is a bi*ch.

Attention Scam Alert!!! These guys are no honor/ethics business men. They say that they are protecting property rights and that it is the fault of the owner of the car. However, in reality the only ones that win are ultimate towing. The property owner say that it hurts his business because customers are getting towed for almost no reason and it causes undue stress on the person parking because you never know when you will get towed. These guys are sleazy gangsters with a business model that is all about short term gains.

I am a resident at an apartment complex serviced by Ultimate Towing. The employees are very kind and understanding. Its easy to be frustrated at the situation because getting towed sucks, but theyre just doing theyre job to keep the spaces open on the streets for the residents. If it werent for them I wouldnt have a regular place to park for where I live, which we can all understand would be rather frustrating. To avoid being towed, simply look for signs and only park in non-towing areas. Dont hate the player, hate the game (:

The owner of Ultimate Towing, Steve, might just be the kindest man Ive ever met. When I parked and got out of my car, Steve (a complete stranger) called my attention to my front left tire which was entirely flat. He offered to change my tire and tow my car back home if needed completely free of charge. I really admire someone who can take time out of their busy day to help a stranger out of the kindness in their heart and thats what Steve did for me. I know that if he wasnt there to help me, my day, without a doubt, would have been a billion times more stressful than it ended up being. Thank you, Steve.

Had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. I understand people are just doing their jobs and they had the right to tow my car. They did not have the right to mock the fact that I had gotten my car towed while I was trying to find my car. Nor did they have the right to threaten the condition in which my car would be returned when I warned someone that had parked in the same spot that I did to be careful parking there. Just trying to be nice and not have someone go through what I was going through. A man from this towing company approached me in his car right after and said that if I continued to take money out of his pocket (by warning other people of parking their car there) that my car would get special treatment and treated real nice in the yard where they take the towed cars. If I could give this company zero stars I would. They know that what they are doing can ruin someones day, but to go out of their way to ridicule, mock, and laugh at someone getting their car towed is just low. As if that had not been enough, they felt the need to threaten me. Terrible knowing that there are people out there with so much hate and misery that they feel the need to make a bad experience even more terrible. I guess all that is left to do is send prayers their way, hopefully God bring some light into their sad life.

This is by far the most unprofessional towing group i have ever dealt with hands down. I was not notified my vehicle had been towed. I was not towed for a valid reason, and when i went to pick up my car $500.00!!!! How can you not notify someone that their vehicle was towed. It was a car that i hardly use due to it being a car i have fixed up as a hot rod. Imagine my surprise when i drove by and noticed my car was gone. I thought it had been stolen. Almost would have rather had t stolen than deal with this group. i sure hope if you are looking for a towing company you keep looking once you get to there name. i did not even want to give it 1 star but had to. I understand that there are ordinances about thi type of thing but there is also a thing called discretion. Had it been game day and the colleges were in session, and downtown was busy I get it. You snatch and grab because you can, not because you have to. Discretion is the better part of valor and your company has neither. And of course since your drivers work off of a commission, they are going to tow anybody and everybody they can, whether they are obstructing commerce or not. Due to this, we will no longer patronize any business in Gainesville and especially the one you towed us from. I due hope sir that the $100 you made off of us is worth the hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in tax revenue we would have potentially brought to the city over the next few years. If supporting the local library system is going to get us towed then we no longer will. Having said that, one of your building owners tenants lost revenue that day because you got my $100. I also dont believe that in the one minute from the time we exited the car until you towed that the owner called you and had us towed. We exited our car at 12:14 PM and your records show us being towed at 12:15 PM. So you mean to tell me that in one minute the owner called and you had our car on a wrecker along with three other cars and towed away? Im not buying it but thanks for trying.

On 9/5/15 this company illegally towed my daughters car from a visitor parking space, while she was working the game at UF. It is clear that they waited for people to leave for the game and picked cars based on how new or expensive and claim you were parked illegally. To stop their game, always take a picture of your car parked in a visitors space especially during special events or game days. This will give you the ability to prove your were parked legally and give you the right to charge them with auto r theft.

These guys towed my vehicle cause I parked in the wrong lot. My fault! However they entered the vehicle (not ask me how they did) and broke the knob of the stick shift. When I realized this I asked them to fix it and they seemed available...at the beginning. I come over their place 3 times (2 of them I made an appointment with a mechanic and nobody showed up). I called them a lot of times (being extremely polite...this was my mistake) looking for one of the manager...and the same lady (obviously kidding me!!) told me The manager will call you...nobody has called me yet. To make matters worse, the employee working was completely unsympathetic and rude to everything that was being said and was a complete a**hole. When asked about it the lady at the front desk claimed they dont and didnt need to go in my car because its a newer model car. Nobody likes getting their car towed, so youd expect the car owners to be the crabby ones and the ones raking in the cash to be laughing their way to the bank. Well, if your car manages to make it to this filthy lot, know that your car will probably be **damaged** and that youll have to deal with rude people to get to it. **Their tow trucks scrape the rear bumper against the road!!** I saw it with my own eyes as they drove another car into the lot. The exhaust on ours was bent when we got it, a result of their careless towing.Edit, 14 Feb 16: I appreciate that the owner responded to my review, but I know what I saw on that day. I was there, there was a really rude lady, the exhaust was bent, and as we were leaving we watched as another car was getting scraped on the bumper against the road by the truck dragging the car on its way into the lot. As for the statistics concerning rates of damage, those numbers of course only account for reported damage. Unreported damage, like ours, is not taken into account. As for actually repairing the car, its not in Gainesville, and it was only visiting Gainesville, so repairing it here is almost out of the question. The damage was minor, but its ugly, and it wasnt there before the car was towed. As far as this review is concerned, it might not even exist if at least the lady was nice when we got there, but she wasnt. She was in a bad mood, and I suppose because we look young we must have seemed like easy targets, and she unleashed on us when we asked why the car had been towed.

These people run a scam and will do anything to make $100. They towed my car from a place that requires you to have a decal on your back window (which I had and was clearly visible), when I got there my decal was gone which means they took it off themselves. There was a CLEAR outline of where the sticker used to be even after arguing with one of the idiots on the phone who told me there was no outline of a sticker on my car. After enough arguing and proving them wrong with recites of the purchase of my decal and pointing out exactly where my sticker was because of the glue left behind on my window they finally came to the realization that what they had done was illegal and decided to let me take my car away for free to avoid anymore trouble. These people are scam artists trying to make a quick $100. Awful company, should be shut down.

I was recently towed by Ultimate Towing, and I understand it is my fault for parking in the wrong spot. But to see the way they were going about towing people was unbelievable. I watched a tow truck enter a parking lot I had parked at downtown and tow a Jeep and speed away in less than 2 minutes. The tow truck had the Jeep on sideways and obviously did not care about damaging the car or other cars nearby. It would have run over anyone in its way and was definitely going above the speed limit. Once I got to the site to get my car, the tow truck drivers were earnestly waiting to find the next person they could tow to make another $100. After speaking to the police, I will definitely report any of the tow trucks I see recklessly driving again. I honestly would have had the police come to the parking lot I was at to see them treating others cars with such recklessness if I wasnt in a hurry to get somewhere else.

These people are a nasty and predatory company. They towed my car within a minute of me walking away from it into a shop directly next door to the parking lot and within the 25 minutes I was in there (and then I was going into the shop that I was parked at) but that is besides the point. They took my wallet with the car and then when I called, they told me it was only 10 blocks away. That is a mile! I had to walk there with an injured foot. It was 90 degrees and my husband and I are not from Gainsville. We couldnt even find a place to get water as we walked through a very sketchy part of Gainesville. They were rude and disgusting to us. If I could give them 0 stars I would. If our own government is Constitutionally prohibited from unlawful searches and seizures without a court ordered warrant (i.e. proper notification and due process) how did a privately owned company obtain the rights to literally steal your property and then ransom it back to you? Also, they apparently dont even attempt to contact the owners of the vehicles they tow so that they can rack up extra charges...because we all know how incredibly expensive it is to park a car in a dirt parking lot...Towing companies like this one are a direct representation of what is wrong with our civil government on an at home scale. Ill be perfectly honest, Ive dealt with people parking in places that make me downright angry, and the temptation to call a towing company to clear the offending vehicle has crossed my mind, but I have NEVER, even in my anger, followed through with allowing someone to have their rights violated in that way. After all, when I was a kid they still taught us to, Treat others as you would have them treat you.So, Ultimate Towing and the management thereof, do not ever expect to get good reviews no matter how much you attempt to butter up your clientele. How could you ever honestly believe that people would appreciate your services? You are thieves at best and you dont help people, except to lighten their wallets. While I have a serious problem with the reason why I was towed, I have posted that to Sun Centers page, so I am not here to write about that.I am, however, absolutely appalled by the customer service I was provided at Ultimate Towing. I was towed last night and when I went to pick up my car (~7pm) I was told by a younger woman (Casey) I could not dispute anything related to why I was towed until the manager came in tomorrow [today] and hes in from 10am-4pm. Perfectly reasonable.I show up just after 10am (after taking time off from work so I could make the trip). The middle aged woman working the window (I never caught her name) told me Drew wasnt in yet. I explained my frustration with taking time off to be here during a time hes supposed to be available. I waited 10 minutes at the window for her to text him and wait for his reply back. I was told she could not provide his cell number to me when I asked for it. Then a nice driver fellow, Lee, came over to see how he could help. After a couple of tries to call him, Lee reached Drew and apparently Drew would only be in starting at noon and only for a little bit...rather ambiguous.I explain to both the woman and Lee that I have a lunch appointment at noon and theres no way Ill be there at that time, but perhaps if Drew stays around, Ill be free after my appointment. After all, he was going to be around for a bit, so maybe I could catch him afterwards. I ask to leave my phone number so that Drew can call me when he arrives-- my assumption was he would have some idea of how long hed be at the company so maybe I could meet him. Lee provides me with a sticky note and I provide my name, cell number, and car info (make/license plate/etc). And give it back to him. He brings it inside the office where the woman is. I leave. My appointment ended just after 1pm. Immediately afterwards I call the office-- I hadnt received a call so I think maybe I havent missed him. The woman picks up and says Drew was at the company at noon and waited for me but I never showed up!!! My mind is blown. I made is explicitly clear I was not going to be there at noon. Theres absolutely no reason he shouldve been waiting for me. I also provided my phone number!! Ignoring all reason and logic for a second, even if for some reason there was any confusion about me being able to be there/versus not be there (which, again, there wasnt): 1) Why would I leave my phone number if I had planned on meeting him there? I wouldve just shown up, right? 2) If he were expecting me and I didnt show up...my phone number is right there! Why would he not call me?! When someone is late to an appointment I have with them, I call to confirm/see whats happening!I was beside myself-- honestly, speechless. When I was finally able to put together a sentence, I asked if my phone number was there on the sticky note. It was, in fact. She did have my note.I finally ended the conversation asking when Drew would be in again. Of course, he was not going to be in for the rest of the day and hed be back Monday. Heres a manager of a business who couldnt deal with a customer because he only comes in less than 1 hour that day. And I get it-- maybe there was an emergency-- but having worked in retail and customer service myself, I would at least call the customer during the time I am available and say hey, I got your message that you want to talk about this, heres my cell number, lets set up a time.I got absolutely nothing. And Im leaving for field work on Monday in Africa and will not be back til April. I am disgusted. I get that people rarely have positive experiences with towing companies, but again, Im not complaining about the reasoning here. The customer service to try to resolve this was absolutely atrocious. A complete waste of nearly 24 hours of my life.Edit 2/11- A Sun Center property representative requested that Ultimate Towing refund me 1/2 of my towing fee. Steve, Ultimate Towing owner, has threatened to not provide the refund unless I remove my negative reviews of his company!

The purpose of roam towing is to make life easier for people who have legitimate reasons to park at a certain place, be it a business or residence, not to make it more difficult and inconvenient for those very people Ultimate Towing purports to serve. Ultimate Towing sets a textbook example for doing the latter. On 10/15/16 at approximately 6:00pm at St. Croix Apartments, I heard a loud banging near my car so I rushed out to see what was going on and saw two guys readying my car to be towed. I immediately asked the guys what they were doing. I told them I am a resident of St. Croix and I can show them a copy of my lease to confirm this. Normal, reasonable individuals would give you a chance to back up your claim, but unfortunately, your employees either dont believe in customer service or are just trying to earn a quick buck. The guys pointed out that my decal was not a St. Croix decal but was for Grad II apartments and was expired. This decal was purchased back in March of 2016 from your office for $20. Your office was well aware that I reside in St. Croix and needed a decal for that apartment complex. I have never lived at Grad II apartments and there is no reason I should have one of those decals. In other words, YOUR OFFICE ISSUED THE WRONG DECAL to me, perhaps, in hopes of setting up future business. With regards to the expiration of the decal, in the past, I have always received notices to get a new decal and always have when prompted. I dont think many people constantly think of when their Ultimate Towing decal expires so this is an important step to legitimize your operations. This year, there was no notice left on my door or through email. So yes, there is a bit of negligence on my part and also on the part of whoever is responsible for leaving the notices, but if your employees listened to my explanation, this would not have been a problem when I tell them I live there, have a lease, and can prove that I am a resident of St. Croix. Absolutely zero discretion was used. The guy hooked my vehicle up and said that it would cost $50 cash to dismount the vehicle and that credit card was not an acceptable form of payment. He told me to hurry up as he was going to leave with my vehicle as fast as possible. Customer service at its finest, I suppose. I called a friend who said he could run the money over in 5 minutes. The guy told me he tried to give me a chance. Please note that he did not wait, not even 1 second, potentially for my friend to arrive. In any case, your guy towed my vehicle and likely left the parking brake engaged. The parking brake and VSC lights stay on now as a result of the tow. I will be getting my car inspected by Toyota to see if anything has been damaged,Upon arrival at your lot, I asked to see pictures of the violation and was told I would have to come back Monday. If my car was immediately towed, why were pictures not available? I also asked for an updated decal to prevent a repeat of this situation and was also told to come back Monday. There were at least 3 people in the office, so you were not short-staffed or anything. Why does it take until Monday for these very same people to bring out the decals? Ultimately, the pirates collected a booty of $100 for me to retrieve my vehicle.Response to owners response 10/18/16:1. I have a credit card transaction showing a purchase of a decal for $20 and can show a screenshot if necessary. Was never valid for where you parked and the serial number of the decal does not match your vehicle.Again decal was issued by your office. How am I supposed to know the codes you use to run your firm? Incompetency on the part of the person issuing/recording the decals.Notices were not given to renew decal. I am not the only one who has explained to apartment management about this. I was told that I could not pick up a decal after 4:30 today.2. VSC. Lights have turned off but will have the vehicle inspected. So it seems Ultimates mission is give wrong decal, conveniently forget to send renewal notices, collect ransoms.

Lauren, I want to respond to your claim the two men causing the confrontation at my office had a city authorized parking permit. They did DID NOT have a permit to park on private property. What they were showing you and others was a City of Gainesville Right-Of-Way (ROW) permit. That is a permit issued by the city to construction crews allowing them to park on city owned property for the purpose of doing work. The two men parked and went to a bar to drink--this was recorded by my security cameras. The City of Gainesville CANNOT--nor can any city in the USA--issue a permit allowing a third party to park on PRIVATE property. They were towed from PRIVATE PROPERTY and NOT city property and were drinking not working---huge huge huge difference. An equivelant example would be a city issuing a permit to let a random person drive your own personal car for a day or sleep in your private bed in your private room. A ROW permit has no authority or meaning on private property. Please take the time to read Florida State Statue 715.07.The employer of the two men is a longtime friend of mine and I am happy to report after a call to my friend to discuss the situation and showing him the video of his employees threatening me, drinking at a downtown bar instead of working while being paid and driving his truck have been terminated.Warm Regards,Stephen J. I take damage complaints seriously and can easily review any tow from any angle. Damage is exceptionally rare, but if it occurs my company takes responsibility and makes the person whole. - a quote from a review response written by Stephen J. OGradyMy friend had her car towed a few weeks back, which she did improperly park and is not expressing that she didnt. But what she is (rightfully) upset about is the fact that this comany messed her vehicle up and they refuse to even talk to her about it. The night she got her car back, we drove away and immediately made a u-turn to go back to the business. My friend told the lady at the front that her car was making a noise it was not making before the tow (which is true,I rode with her before the tow and after). The lady then gave her a number to call in the morning. I knew right then and there my poor friend was about to get the run around because that is shady. My friend called repeatedly throughout the week and was told she would have to talk to the driver, the owner and the driver isnt here at the moment, all week long this went on. Come to find out the owner was the driver. She went to the business today with her father (they dont even live in Gainesville, they live and hour away so the fact that they had to physically go there to speak with the management about this discrepancy speaks volumes to the type of business Stephen OGrady is running) they tried speaking with Stephen and he did not even get out of the vehicle. My friend, a young woman who hasnt ever had to deal with swindling business men before was shaking as she tried telling him her issue and he kept being dismissive of her. What kind of businessman are you sir? My friend tried telling you that her car is messed up because of something that YOU did, not only did she have to pay for being towed, shes going to have to pay to fix the damages you caused because you dont even know how to properly do your job? You didnt give her a chance to speak with you, you staued in your truck and kept trying to drive away, and told her I dont care. Sue me. It costs 295 to file a claim. Is that how you play ball Stephen? You fear monger and berate people into just giving up? Not only are you a TERRIBLE businessman, you are a horrible human. Ive read plenty of reviews abot you, and your responses to them and you are nothing but a lowlife and a swindler.Response to your response: since I have no way to communicate with you and cannot leave another review, I hope you are able to see this response. My friend just called up there and asked for Stephen. Lo and behold you were there. So, I d dont know if you just got back into town and it was some other employee she dealt with earlier, but they really shouldnt have been telling my friend I dont care and sue me! and a claim is 295. Im not sure what kind of superiority complex your workers have that they think they an speak to customers like that, without the actual authority of being the boss. So my suggestion (if that wasnt you as you claim) would be to train your employees better in the feild of customer servie.Secondly, whoever my friend and her father talked to obviously wasnt listening very attentively because they never said they had a problem with the air conditioning. She said the tires and her frame was damaged. The part you are confusing is when she explained she had just gotten a check up and the only thing that was wrong with her vehicle was her air conditioning. That she had gotten fixed and has documentation that she went and had it fixed and there was nothing else wrong.

My and my girlfriend recently witnessed the tow truck driver hit the rear bumper of a maroon Scion XB. The driver then took pictures of the car to ensure that that if the owner asks questions they will claim that it was like that when they got there. If you are the owner of the car please reply to this review.

I live in a Condominium where the Condo Association called in to have my scooter towed while I was out of town due to expired tags. I was obviously distraught when I returned from vacation to find it missing, realizing it had likely been towed. I called Ultimate Towing at 7 PM and was told my bill was upwards of $350 for three days, which seemed absolutely insane to me for a scooter. The representative told me to call back the next morning by 1:00 PM so that I would not be charged for an extra day and so that I would be able to speak with the owner. After talking to the owner, he told me to come on in and that we could discuss my bill. Upon arriving, he was much nicer than any other towing company I have ever dealt with while being a student in UF. He was very understanding about my being upset about spending five times what my broken scooter is worth to have it towed back. He was very fair with me and reduced my bill to only the original tow cost and offered to dispose of the scooter when I asked if it was possible. Obviously towing is never great for anyone, but I really appreciated this company offering to dispose of my scooter that would have cost me MUCH MORE to dispose of myself. Scooters are a pain and this company understands that. This was easily the best experience I have had with a towing company. If every company in Gainesville was like this, Im pretty sure everyone would have fewer complaints about UF and the city of Gainesville parking.

The owner Steve is super rude, I spoke with after several attempts and hangups. They charged me twice, refused to refund my money and hung up on me several times when I tried rectify the issue. Their comments were, take it up with your bank, and if you do well take you to small claims court, his exact words were,I will take you to small claims court and I always win.No recourse because my apartment management company didnt get a say in who tows in their area. They are super rude....just rude, avoid at all cost if you are deciding on a towing company and pay cash if you have a choice.

It is a rare time when I describe an individual or group as the scum of the earth, but Ultimate Towing is worthy of this title. In fact, scum is not nearly a strong enough word. Not only do this companys business practices border on illegal, but every single employee (and the owner himself) is a lowlife, condescending thug who contributes absolutely nothing to society or community. These profligatess sole purpose is to prey on college students and young professionals living in or visiting Gainesville. After towing a car from an area with no lines demarcating where their jurisdiction begins, these worthless people use shady rules, attempted intimidation, and general rudeness to scam good people out of hundreds of dollars. After a brief conversation with the smug owner, I literally wanted to vomit due to how repugnant and disrespectful this businessman acted. I refrained from doing so because I had a strong suspicion that he would get down on the ground and happily slurp it up like the pig he is. I would compare this company to vultures, but I do not wish to insult that avian group. After being forced to enter Ultimate Towings derelict establishment, I found myself praying for the first time in 9 years: Please deliver me from this festering abyss. I may have sinned, but I could not have done anything to deserve relegation to this nidorous pit of evil. Dante himself could not conceive of this deepest, most retch-inducing circle of hell. Tucked snugly into a pocket of the seediest part of town lies a compound that the poorest, least developed tribes of the world would look upon in scorn. Theologians rejoice: I now can almost certainly confirm the existence of heaven, having definitively located hell. I attempted to hold my breath to avoid sucking in the stench of corruption and general immorality, but was forced to eventually after the brain-dead attendant required 10 minutes to locate the car I could clearly see through the window. Before leaving, I shook the owners hand through sheer force of habit. Weeks later, I still find myself waking up in the night to run and scrub off imaginary slime, feeling like a modern and far less fortunate Lady Macbeth. I weep for my soul after exposure to such a level of degeneracy. Somewhere in the ether, the ghosts of the Nazi party rejoice in the fact that they are no longer the worst group of humans this world has ever seen. I would rather make love to the putrid corpse of Fred Phelps while bathing in cyanide than be within 10 miles of Ultimate Towing and its employees ever again.

I was towed improperly while at the Sun Center. I stayed inside, while my boyfriend walked off the property so that he could show his mother where to park for the Sun Center (who happened to be visiting her son all the way from St. Petersburg). Every employee that I interacted with was rude, ignorant, and didnt understand how to do their jobs. The tow truck driver left scratches on multiple of my friends cars and messed with the interior of the car, almost breaking the e-brake. He then finished off with, Thanks for the $100. (This wrecker was also driving recklessly and almost hit my boyfriends little sister, so I ended up reporting his license plate number as well). The police had to be called because the owner threatened to kill and shoot the construction workers in line behind us who had been illegally towed with a permit from the city. I have never seen a more childish reaction out of a grown man in my entire life. He stormed out of his office like a four year old throwing a temper tantrum.
