Over the past few years, I have purchased several appliances from these great people and I have had a great experience every time! They have solid appliances at great prices and their delivery and set up has always been on time, courteous, and professional.

We purchased a washer, dryer and refrigerator from them last week. Kayla nearly loaded all three by herself! With any refurbished item, it runs risk of being defective. Its a chance you take even at major retailers. I called Kayla, let her know that my washer was not spinning out. She gave me two options which were also on the bill of sale so I was well aware of them. The first option was to bring the washer up to them and they will have a look at it. The second option, which is what we chose, was to pay a $65 service charge for them to come to our home. She took my payment over the phone and put me on the schedule for Wednesday of next week.I could not be happier with the process. Everything was very transparent open and honest. I get the sense that they are very humble and not just out for a quick buck. Which is why I will buy from them again.( in 2 weeks because I need a stove too!)The dryer purchased, is exceptional. It can dry things very quickly makes no noise other than normal dryer noise. Ive gotten a load of towels dry in half the time it took my old dryer,( approximately 20 minutes).The refrigerator works like a gem. Was very clean. The top keeps everything Frozen, the bottom keeps everything at a perfect temperature. And thanks to Kayla it was the right size. She was very knowledgeable about all products especially the refrigerator because I would have purchased one that was much larger than the space I had at home.So after reading all of the reviews and some of the reviews people left. I feel as if they just communicated better with Kayla and her partner that they would have been just as satisfied as I am.At the end of the day we are all still people and appliances are a lot like us. They are not always perfect but Discount Appliances will do what they can to make this right and I appreciate that.

After paying over $600 for a used washer and dryer and $75 for delivery the dryer stopped working approximately four months later. I called them for advice on how to possibly get it fixed and got a dry not sure how I can help you maim. Shouldve saved my money and bought a new set. Lesson learned. 😞

I had called to see if they were interested in my used washer and dryer (I’m getting a new one). The first woman I talked to was incredibly kind, I had zero problems with her. She told me to send pictures of our washer and dryer to a number and they’d give us a quote. I sent the pictures and never heard anything back (no big deal, I know people are busy). I called the next day and a man picks up the phone. He claimed that he never received pictures. I tried to say “no big deal, maybe I had the wrong number” but he interrupted me and grilled me with questions about the appliances. I wasn’t sure on some of the terminology he used and asked him to explain because I wasn’t sure. He straight up laughed at me and said “you seriously don’t know what a .... is?” He was incredibly rude, condescending, and misogynistic - all I was trying to do was give this place a washer and dryer for free. I remained polite the entire time, but as soon as he heard my voice I didn’t stand a chance. At the end of the phone call, he said “oh I did see your pictures, I’m not interested” and hung up (also contradicting his initial claims). I can’t attest to the quality of their products, but there are definitely better places in Gainesville that you can go to and receive MUCH better service.

I was looking for a double oven stainless steel stove. They did not have one in their store but they found me one the next week. I have had my stove now for about 2 weeks and I absolutely love, love, LOVE it! I will highly recommend them to anyone in need of any appliances.

I called them and asked if their refrigerator was running, and they ended up selling me a new one after I chased mine! Silver tongue salesmen and honest work. Also, the women who work there belong in a centerfold.

I purchased a washer and dryer set from Discount Appliances as I have been out of work for a few months (despite being in a good profession). Their price was a good $200 less than a regular store for a comparable set with delivery. Truth be told, I was disappointed after my first use of the washer and dryer I purchased. I then read some less than stellar reviews and was worried I had made a mistake not spending the extra $ at a regular store. However, I contacted Kayla (owner?) regarding the issues of 1) My dryer making a loud, high-pitched noise during use and 2) Water not draining from my washing machine during the rinse. Within a couple of days, Kayla and her partner came out and spent a good amount of time figuring out and fixing the issue of the dryer noise. They came out a SECOND time to help with the washer issue, which turned out to not be a problem with the washer, but the actual drain line of rental property. Kayla and her partner figured this out and came up with a solution for it anyway. Since, the set has been working fine. I am grateful that Discount Appliances was an option for me during this period of my life and that Kayla and her partner DID care about me as a customer! Thanks guys.

Bought microwave found out that the door will not close properly so it wont work. Called to ask about it the reply was I dont warranty microwaves. That was not what I was told before I paid 125.00 for it. I feel I was lied to to get my sale.

Absolutely WORST customer service I have experienced, WORST!I bought two stoves and a fridge. Couldn’t fit the fridge on my trailer so I said I would come back. It’s now been a month am still no fridge. I was told by lady to come Saturday at 11:00 am to pick up this weekend. This was the third week / attempt to pick up fridge. I get there and no one is there. I call number, voicemail is full and no on returns my call. After calling the number 10-15 times finally a man responded, no name, and said he didn’t know anything about 11:00 am apt. But that he was out making deliveries and would be by the store between 12 and 1, to call him back at 12:30 to see where he was. I called at 12:38 and no answer again. After several calls the man finally answered as if he is frustrated. He then said about 30 more minute. 1:00 rolled by 1:30 rolled by, and crickets. I call, no one showed up. I called the number over 40 times and no one picks up. I guess I’m out $450 bucks they just robbed me out of b/c it appears they have no desire to give me what I already purchased. Well...had a good experience at first...then terrible experience. Brought over 4,000.00 worth of appliances with these folks. Washer had a bad transmission and they never returned my call to help with even a service call ... Ill never buy anything from them again. NO RECOMMENDATIONS here... so disappointed !!!!

We moved here in August of last year. Desperately needed a washer and dryer but didnt have the money for a new set. Seen their add online and stopped in.They are amazing!! Bought a beautiful front load set for a great price. They delivered it and set it up. Just bought a home and will definitely be using them again for all we need.

My boyfriend just bought a fridge/freezer combo from this store, he spent well over $1600 on it and the freezer wont make ice, he has called several times to see if it can be fixed or if he can get his money back. I hope this store based on the past 50 wonderful reviews will please let him know what they are able to do because $ 1600.00 dollars is allot to pay for something that hasnt worked from the very beginning. I realize that the owners have had a family emergency several weeks ago... but I would really appreciate if they can contact him to let him know what can be done. Its just bad business to let everything go without a single word about it. How long does a phone call or text message take after all?

I bought a washer and dryer set in September 2018. Washer stopped working after only 5 loads of clothes. I have not contacted the store because it was made very clear they only guarantee the appliances for 30 days. Should have gone somewhere with better warranty or bought new. Sucks to be me😭

I was extremely disappointed by this company today. I looked up your store hours on line and it said 10-5. When I drive 45 min to your place of a BUSINESS I expect it to be OPEN. Not a sign saying closed until 2:30. It’s a business and I expect that you have a enough staff to be open at 11:30. I will never ever come back. I spent my money with a very great reputable company You missed out on my 2,000 cash purchase today!

My wife made a list of features she wanted including brand name. That was the easiest shopping for a washer and dryer in my life... seriously! Were very happy with our Kenmore set and the same day delivery service. The owners shoot straight with you and were a big blessing today!

I purchased a refrigerator in October for a property that was being renovated. I told the salesperson that I did not know when the renovations would be completed. She told me they would hold it until I was ready. I recently went to collect my refrigerator, but they had sold it. I was never contacted. I am now out $400, and the owner refuses to call me for resolution of this issue. These people are not honest. Do not buy from them. I guess I will have a judge tell them that this is not good business practice.

Stay clear of these people.Bought a refrigerator,within a week the bottom warms up to 52 55 degree`s,and the freezer coils freeze up into a block of ice.They gave a 30 day warranty but to use the warranty you have to bring the unit back to them,or pay a $65.00 service fee.It was a pain to get it into my house,I had to ask a friend to use their truck.etc. Avoid these clowns...A customer shouldn`t have to pay ANYTHING when something is under warranty.Whats a customer suppose to do with all their food products while you have their fridg...Shameful customer service.

I was so excited to give the mom and pop shop a shot. And as far as getting a washer and dryer to my house in a timely fashion they were amazing. But 2 weeks after both appliances started acting up. it took me 3 weeks to get in touch with them to come out and repair them. At that point the warranty was expired but they sent someone else out anyway. A very grumpy gentleman showed up at my house. He fixed the dryer but said that there was nothing wrong with the washer after assessing the situation for 3 minutes. My washing machine is still only spinning clothes 25% of the time. So I am out over $300 and I have a washer that doesnt work and I need to hire an outside repair man to come and fix. I should have bought new.

I bought a washer in November of 2018. Was delivered and didnt work. Washer was picked up and a loner was dropped off until mine was repaired. Loaner has leaked since the day it was dropped off. In December I started calling finally in February I got in touch. Mine cannot be repaired. I was told to call back on friday. Started calling again along with going by the shop. Last week I finally caught the lady there. Left my number. Still no call. I get an excuse of family emergency every time. Worst owners ever. Will never buy from here again. Starting the paperwork to reverse charges and reporting the to the Better Business Bureau.

Make sure you read their fine print. However the problem with the one we bought was from day one. No warranties after 30 days and if you pick it up you have to return it so they can supposedly fix what should have worked properly to begin with.. Thinking of the french door refrigerator we bought they claimed it worked perfectly and my husband had to buy an ice maker motor for $130 dollars to fix it himself. also the water didnt work. A 9 year old fridge that they charged $700 for, it should have worked as they dishonestly promised that it would. BEWARE.

I can say is they are very friendly and answered all my questions. I am very satisfied with my purchase and the exceptional way I was treated from the minute I walked thru the door. Will definitely recommend them.

Bad experience. They are a rip off. Bought a washer from them for $240.00, and after about 3 days, the washer was not functioning. Brought it back for him to repair, and he said thats not the washer that he sold me. Did not want to give a receipt showing that he received it for repair. Had to get the police involved because his behavior was aggressive.

Tried to support small business and choose because of quick delivery time. Very poor choice on our part. Did not have more than (4) four hours before discovering that the dryer doesn’t heat and dry clothes. Call placed to the the owner who stated no refunds or returns ( even within hours of delivery). Upon paying we were verbally told 30 day warranty but really it was no refunds or returns. The owner says it’s our dryer vent not his dryer and he knew that when he moved our old one if true why not be honest at notify us. We will go to big box from now on and just wait on delivery. So sad that this local business could not provide better customer service.

I ordered delivery service from this store.Over the phone, his wife promised to deliver to my house, hooked up and remove the old one.However, this guy dropped the appliance into my house and ran away.I have to hire a handyman to do the rest of the work.It turned out that I spent the same amount money as a new appliance.This is the sillest thing I do in my life.This is a bad bad guy!!!

Just had bought a Whirlpool dryer in May, in July it stopped working, It wouldnt turn On at All, so when we took it back for them to fix, it took 3 days of me calling to check status for the owner to say it was a Power MotherBoard thats been fried. Went to pick it up without letting him know in advance and he had already cleaned it out, inside and out like he had planned on Reselling it!! Bought it back home, Sure enough, It turned on and Work!! What a Shame full Lier. Taking people for their money. Greedy. And Karma will come around!You guys didnt even have the dryer for a week when we dropped it off! I kept calling you for 4 days checking to see if you had the chance to check it out and you kept making excuses!! Horrible customer service to lie about not being able to check it when you said you could.
