Our family recently used Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Services for my mom who at age 95 passed away recently. We were happy with all aspects of their service. The initial session was smooth and an accurate estimate of expense was provided. The funeral itself was run professionally and everything was done on-time. Their staff even moved flowers down to the area where we had a small catered luncheon. My mom was also shipped 300 miles away for her burial — those arrangements were perfect and they ran a very nice small grave site service. We were happy with the professionalism and organization provided by Schoedinger.

My family had an unexpected, tragic loss recently and the caring staff at Schoedinger Northeast were incredibly helpful at walking me through the whole process! Emma was so helpful to me and my family and made the experience feel very personal. They answered every question, communication was prompt, and I felt supported. Hannah even checked on me a few weeks after the funeral to make sure that my family and I were doing ok. The therapy dog “Banks” did a great job of comforting my young children while they grieved. I could not be more pleased with the staff at Schoedinger Northeast in Gahanna, It was recommended to me by a friend after the unexpected passing of a loved one. He indicated they were very accommodating and would work with me to handle all details. Nothing could be more true. The staff were all very understanding and supportive during a very difficult time. Lydia covered every detail and did exactly as asked when specific requests were made. She was very compassionate, professional, and made me feel very comfortable, guiding me through the process as so many things seem jumbled when youre grieving. I was impressed by the level of service given, including faxing death certificates to those who would not accept emails. She was very thorough bringing up details I wouldnt even have considered, and provided an accurate estimate of the funeral expenses. At this point she is even still working with Dayton National Cemetery to schedule an internment of the ashes. We had a small private service and multiple individuals have indicated how nice it all turned out. I will definitely be recommending them in the future.

My husband passed away, at 36 after a battle with cancer, and his death was somewhat sudden. During that time, I was mentally unprepared to be planning his funeral, when I was trying to grieve, but the Schordinger team, was able to help support me and make it as stress free as possible. The entire team, especially Laura, were professional but genuine. They were able to take my requests, and make sure they were executed how I wanted and we had a beautiful, and personal experience. They were great at communicating what was needed and helped in every way possible. I had dropped off a bunch of personalized mementos the day before, and they made sure to have everything displayed perfectly and also to make sure I got everything back the day after. The space is great for many visitors and was still safe for social distancing. The team is compassionate, thorough and I would recommend to anyone, as I trust that they will help families the way did ours; with respect, professionalism and with caring hearts.

I wanted to share my family’s experience we had with Schoedinger Northeast. From the time my dad and I preplanned my parents funerals to the recent passing of both within a short period of time, Elizabeth and Brooke and other staff members were such a blessing. They took time to listen as we shared such sweet memories of our dad, then later our mom, as we met together to schedule the funeral. They went out of their way to make everything as easy as possible by listening to what was important to our family to then thinking of things we had not thought about when holding the funerals. They felt they really cared about our family. Saying good-bye to loved ones is not easy at all, however, the staff at Schoedinger Northeast were very comforting. As Funerals go, it was the best it could be. The Schoedinger staff was so compasionate and helpful. The Officient Mark took the time to really know the essence of my wife and our family. The service itself was beautiful, the perfect mix of family stories and humor.We had a Green Burial at the Kokosing Nature Preserve. Donna was laid to rest in a field of wildflowers. In keeping with her wishes and her love of color, everyone wore the best and brightest outfits. We buried her in her favorite red dress and played Lady in Red, and Dancing Queen. Our Grandaughter sang a son. Max our 5 year old grandson played his harmonica, Daughters red some of Donnas funny stories.It may not have been traditional, but it was meaningful, and Schoedinger helped us through this difficult time.

My brothers and I had such a great experience with Schoedinger Funeral home. They made us feel comfortable, cared for, and they were EXTREMELY helpful with all the forms and things we would need to take care following my fathers passing. My brothers and I were not ready for his passing and we were overwhelmed with confusion and grief. Lydia was very sweet, caring, and was instrumental in putting our minds at ease. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Elizabeth and Hannah at Schoedinger Northeast. My husband passed away before Christmas and during a very difficult time with Covid-19 restrictions. They worked with me to make his service so special. I will always be thankful for their loving support during that difficult time. Schoedinger goes the extra step to assure the service is special to the family and I highly recommend them.

My father passed late Weds night and the upcoming weekend was Easter. Luckily we had our plans known and ready for services, and when we met Schoedinger Thursday pm, they were able to have all the details done for a Saturday am service for folks coming from out of town. Andre who picked up my father when he passed was in a cowboy hat and he was so respectful with my mom with dementia in giving her time to let go and gave her a hug to the flower placed on dads bed when he left. We knew he was in good hands as hard as it is to let go. They were able with such short notice to get the Marines to provide the military honors at the service. They provided details that we didnt plan in the memorial cards with this as well as the emblems on the hearst to the route planning with escorts.. all of that eased us so we could have our time to grieve. They were able to get him to a church where we wanted more folks to be able to come. They knew our wishes and not only provided those but provided the details we didnt ask for... each one didnt go unnoticed and provided such a special remembrance for dad. They coordinated what we brought for them that we prepared for the services and had them all packaged back for us with momentos. The preparation of dad was beautiful to get him back to him from his illness. From the preplanning we did years prior to the time of loss, they were amazing! I dont give rave reviews often, and their service was the best of the best from beginning to end! You would not be disappointed utilizing them.

Rosemary and the staff were incredible. They took care of everything so that the only thing we had to worry about was grieving for our loved one. They were kind, helpful, and took care of things we hadn’t even thought about. The service went smoothly and we were even surprised that the service men were actually in the Navy which was the branch of the military in which he served. Rosemary followed up after to make sure we were doing ok and to see There was anything else that she could do for us. Really professional group of individuals. They were easy to work with and always available. I sensed they really understand the unique grieving process for everyone and adapted accordingly to each of my family members. My only regret is we didnt use more of their services. Hopefully we wont have to use them in the near future but we are grateful for the staff and will work with them again when that time comes.

As hard as this process is, the team at Schoedingers Gahanna made this so much easier. I called in and spoke with Kelly their receptionist and, within 10 minutes Kevin Schoedinger himself called to express his condolences and talk us through the process. They are prompt, understanding and true professionals. Even with COVID and all the craziness going on, they were still as accommodating as they could be without missing any of the details. Hannah has reached out a few times checking in on the family, Elizabeths gentle hand was involved in keeping the process moving. The whole staff is just top tier, good human beings. This was so unexpected and they helped and supported us. I dont wish people to have to go through this but, if and when you do - call them, you will be in good hands.

We lost our Mom suddenly during covid. The last thing you want to think about at this time is arranging a funeral. Schoedinger made this so easy for us. They did a zoom call, due to covid, and we discussed all our options. They were so kind, and helpful. Elizabeth was the person in charge of our needs. She was so helpful. She helped us write the obit, and it was beautiful, it really expressed our Mother. She walked us through every single detail, so we were able to have a beautiful service for our Mother. She was with us from calling hours through our service, and we felt we were in such good hands. Schoedinger gives you the tender care you need, while getting everything done for you. They had video screens of pictures we provided, which were so heartwarming. They provided poster boards for us to pin photos to, and tables for us to display framed family photos. It made us feel as though our Mom was with us, and it was all so perfectly done.Despite covid, we were able to have a calling hours and a family service at Schoedinger. everyone wore masks and we maintained our social distance. We selected music for the service, which Schoedinger played through their speaker system, and it was beautiful.They made a very sad situation very nice. Since then, they have reached out to see how we are doing, and gave us suggestions for grief counseling or support groups.All my Family can say is “thank you to the Schoedinger’s” for making our Mom’s tribute very special.

Words can hardly express how Schoedinger took care of my family when my mother passed away. My mother passed away in Alaska and Shoedinger coordinated having her brought to Ohio. I didnt have to worry about any of it. Every word, every action, and the timing of everything that Rosemary Starcovic, the director, did was perfectly geared to help my mother have the best send off possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. They webcast the funeral so that my family and friends, far and wide, even on other continents, could see the funeral. She helped educate me about decisions I needed to make and point me in the right direction for things that needed to be done. If possible, she did it all for me, taking into consideration the different challenges of my grieving family was dealing with. She even acted as one of the pall bearers because we didnt have enough locally, and she is a tiny thing! She made it all look seamless. I watched her as she did some of the things she did and I thought to myself, she has a gift, there is no way she could get so good at what she does by teaching alone. Rosemary asked me what I wanted for flowers, and without any further effort from me, she ordered beautiful arrangements from the best florist in Gahanna. Every single little detail was first class, thoughtful, beautiful and as sensitive as possible. Rosemary connected me with Mary, who helped with the grave marker. She said that they could make pretty much anything I wanted. I looked on the internet and found a beautiful headstone in Omaha. I asked her Can you make one just like this? And just like, that she said yes. She drew up the model, said the had the stone in stock already, and that was that. Mary told me all the ins and outs and rules of the cemetery and we ended up with a beautiful choice for a headstone and vase. I just cannot give Schoedinger high enough praises for the job they did for me and my family, but five stars will have to do. It should be 10.

I cannot begin to pay enough compliments to every single person we dealt with, from the initial call onward. Every situation has its own set of circumstances and ours was extremely complex, but Schoedinger treated us with the utmost professionalism and with gracious compassion.Rosemary Starcovic made every choice we made feel like the perfect one and was wonderfully helpful with our lack of knowledge from certain obstacles. We did not have a family minister, so Andrew Hoover was recommended to us and I couldnt be happier. He provided a lovely service for my brother and superseded all expectations. Thanks to the giant hearts and level of care given by Schoedinger, I can feel like my brother had a wonderful parting. My last memory of him will weigh on my heart heavily, but make me smile when I think of the care he was given.Thank you all for everything you did to make this as pleasant as possible.

Their Pet Services team is terrific. Losing pets is never easy, and you never want to HAVE TO use such services, but their team handles everything in a very professional and (more importantly) empathetic manner.
