Ive been coming here for almost four years and just terminated my membership so i know this place well. I have trained, apprenticed, and taught during my time here. Coaches are wicked talented and go way above and beyond for their students. The paragraph below explains why this gym gets two stars.Unfortunately, the owner is quite incompetent and shady for a multitude of reasons. He likes to charge people different rates. NEW members that signed up while i was there reported paying anywhere in the range of 100-150 a month for access to the same classes. He recently streamlined pricing after various members finally threw a fit over this. Furthermore, he unfreezes accounts whenever he feels like it without contacting members first. So if you attend and freeze for whatever reason, keep your eye on your bank statements! It happened to me twice while there! Lastly, its supposed to be an mma gym where you can go and learn all aspects of mma. Since ive been there however, the owner has refused to properly stack classes. We always had to choose between bjj/wrestling and striking because the genius always ran those classes concurrently. Coaches and members have spoken to him about this and he did not change a thing. The gyms name and wonderful coaches have carried the gym imo. Under different ownership id come back without a second thought.

This place is awesome!

Garbage gym. They tried charging me the day everyone got theyre stimulus check when the gym is closed. Also they have you train with people 2 to 3 times your size so you get hurt steer clear of this place. Also they dont teach you anything before putting you with really experienced people to practice on you. I brought my kid in and she felt extremely uncomfortable. The instructor seemed to get frustrated with a bunch of kids for not knowing or picking things up fast enough.

Thought it was a decent gym at first. Had to cancel my contract early because Im moving. Theyre still billing even after cancellation receipt has been given. To their credit they did fix this mistake after I talked with them. Appreciate that they responded promptly. The training is good, customer service could be worked on a bit.

I have been going to this gym for a little over 3 years and I love it still. The management is very nice and respectful. My sister goes there and I have met so many wonderful friends and training partners. I love the coaches as well such as Mason, Cory, George, Nick, Gabriel, and Marcos. We love Dethrone and hope to never leave.

I was training here for a couple months and at first the staff and the owner were kind an respectful. Then they became rude the staff included. They feel like their better than you with big egos and when you ask for help on how to do things they always blew me off and ignored me and ignored other students as well. It kinda seemed the coaches just selected their favorites and rolled with them and instructed them. The only coaches who were cool with me and willing to sacrifice some effort was coach Lamar, coach Brian, and coach Marcos. I was really serious about my jiu jitsu and boxing i was pushing myself too see if the coaches took me serious and everyone just ignored me and a couple of my partners. I heard that dethrone was the best gym in Fresno the first 2 weeks i wouldve agreed but then i started seeing the true colors of everyone come out the owner jason and staff included nick, james, popp and others i didnt get to catch their names. Its a shame great and talented people act that way with there students, maybe if their egos got checked they would treat their students with a kind heart and postivie discipline maybe their team would do great in tournaments and their fighters would be open and pushed to turning pro because they have a great leadership off coaches behind them but instead they put their students down and some students fall outta love with the sports for how their being treated and ignored by coaches. I wish nothing but the best on this team but it was sad and unfortunate i got treated this way, it broke my spirit and my love for boxing and jiu jitsu being treated this way and not just me but others are included as well because from what i hear its still going on. Its a shame even some students that r higher in rank and skill are treating the white belts and beginners poorly because they see the coaches do it so the other students start doing it just too be on good ends with the coaches. The lack of discipline and respect for others is just sad and heartbreaking.

Awesome! Nick Bustemante is an excellent teacher! My little sister and I were a little intimidated when we first walked as we didnt know what to expect. Nick greeted us with a big smile and lots of positive energy that maintained through the whole workout! We had so much fun as we got a great workout. Cant wait to go so many more times!

I left this gym half a year ago after I moved away. Before I left, I told them I am cancelling my membership. The front desk told me that my membership will be on a three month hold then cancelled with a $100 fee.Three months later I am charged another $120. So I call and they tell me that it will now be cancelled. Another $120 charge. Call again and this time they assure me it is the last charge and my membership is cancelled. Why am I surprised when another $120 is charged. So since cancelling my membership I have been charged $360.I called again and the manager tells me that I have to come in and cancel. She says that there is nothing she could do for me and very rude about it. I am very disappointed by my experience with this gyms management and customer service. This is unfortunate as I actually liked the people who trained there.I do not recommend this gym.

This is a very good place for training, 1st took my son there then I signed too.The owner , trainers and all people who works there very professional and very gentle, I’m highly recommending this place!

Dethrone is the best gym in Fresno hands-down!! Ive been taking my son Benjamin there for four months and we love it!!!🤼‍♂️🥊🥋🏅
