Excel Test was great and covered the whole ACT Test with insight, strategies, and of great depth.Adam was incredibly nice and interactive! Always waited for answers and input from students. I really enjoyed all three of my classes with Andrew. I feel like he is very captivating and the 3 hours basically flew by. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes and likes his humor.

Great SAT prepping session...helped me learn new concepts and ways to combat SAT specific questions. They give you a lot of content to cover and lots of practice content which you can do on your own time. They also have Exam Clubs in where you can take a SAT practice test as many times as you want for 4 months. SAT score guarantee of an increase in 200 points as well!One thing however I would say is that they have a lot of information, and sometimes 3 hours just barely make the cut for a class. They go over information a little fast sometimes thus to make sure they would finish in the 3 hour class periods. I would recommend them to split up some of the sessions. Other than that great place to study for SAT!

I will be giving a detailed review, so if you are checking this out, keep these things in mind. In my perspective, I will give Excel Test Prep a solid ⅘ rating. I definitely believe that Excel Test Prep is an excellent place for students to gain a good understanding of the concepts and material that will be on the test they are aiming for, and this prep center really builds the foundation for every student. My review may be a bit rigged because I took the online classes, not the in-person sessions.First of all, the teachers are amazing: most prep teachers (and tutors alone) do not teach students in a way that intrigues them or draws attention to the material; the teachers here are really outgoing, and they make the class fun and amusing. As for the class itself, I want to make it clear that if you have high scores on the ACT/SAT already, I wouldn’t recommend taking this prep. This prep is aimed towards helping students collectively, such as rules, and review, and strategies. I was really able to get back on track for the ACT and Excel test prep has gone over almost all of the material, so I knew how to approach most of the problems on the ACT. Overall, it really did help bring up my grade, but you still need to practice on your own.The only drawback is the time management; although I enjoyed having my teachers, we spend a long time on one particular session, therefore, we lose time on another section. I wish the time management could be worked, especially for ACT english, because it felt very rushed. The teachers also teach really fast, so sometimes you can get lost. You can also lose attention because it can be hard to follow the material sometimes, and this is when individual review is also important. I especially wish we could get more with ACT english, but other than that, this prep center is great :)-Sathvika C.

Excel isnt a good place in all ways. They rip people off and their teaching material is very basic. Things that can be done there can also be done at home. A lot of the tutors and teachers are nice though. I just hate you they rip people off in so many ways.

Online preparation only as of January 2021. This is due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has been trending for a little while. However, I must say that I would not be able to attend anyway given the distance of some 5000 miles between my location and theirs.

Doing our English Workshop with instructor, Mr Jared, was a really good experience. There were a lot of jokes which made the class really entertaining with a game after every passage. His teaching method was also really good. Going over all the answers and explaining in detail why the other answers were wrong. Overall, it was a really great experience.

Excel Test Prep is a great place to prepare yourself for the SAT, ACT, and multiple other standardized tests! I went to Excel last year for SAT practice, and over the course of a few months, I increased my score by 300. They have great instructors who have great strategies while also making class fun and memorable. Every class, they give you free candy and every once in a while, a pizza party. And even after youre done with taking classes, you can participate in Exam Club, where students can exclusively take practice tests, or go to a Group Tutorial Session for extra help. With a combination of the three ways you can study with Excel, I was able to get a decent score while having fun. One last thing Id like to add is that personally, I thought Excel was really flexible. Other test prep companies have SAT boot camps that last the entire summer 5 days a week, which in my case didnt fit with the other things I had to do during my summer. Our teacher was Jared, he had a fun way of teaching class by bribing us with candy and playing games to spark our competitive side. My advice is don’t think too much/stress about the tests as the things you learn in class will help you develop your way of thinking.

Excel uses a variety of instructors to teach different topics regarding the SAT, each with their own unique teaching style. While some instructors might not necessarily be the best for your style of learning, most of them are entertaining people with a lot to teach. There are lots of opportunities to practice applying your knowledge, if you’re not good at pushing yourself to practice on your own. I was in the intensive course, which entails a total of 9 practice tests, sometimes multiple tests in a week. Overall, it’s rather informative, but testing is frequent. I do feel that their Math instruction was a lot more specific and effective, whereas their instruction with English instruction mostly dealt with vaguer tips dealing with how to tackle the test.

Jared is a great fun English teach! Advice: learn how to catch candy bags because he will throw it at you until you catch it. You don’t need that much diabetes.

Going to Excel was really helpful in preparing me for the SAT. My score noticeably increased from the first week to the last. They take the time to go over each and every mistake to make sure you dont mess up in the actual test. They also give you pizza and candy often so its more fun and engaging than just taking tests all the time.

Excel test prep is a great way to gain structured, effective preparation for the SAT. The instructors are qualified but relaxed and classes were generally engaging. They covered lots of interesting content and tips, much of which I may not necessarily have devised on my own for increasing accuracy and efficiency on the SAT. I was fortunate to score very highly on the SAT and excel test prep was essential in improving my critical reading performance in particular; the opportunity to take practice exams as part of exam club was also very helpful.

It was very helpful and many of the tips helped me understand and complete questions that I wasnt able to do before. The material that was provided also gives a very helpful format for how to do well on all the different types of questions. A little more explanations on the writing sections would be helpful though.

My kid attended andExcel Material is useless if i compare to another Test prep classes in Fremont.Dont expect teacher to see whether your kids are learning or not.Most of them are having fun as Teacher have no control over the class.Be ready to for their Marketing guys to enroll you for 1-1 once you asked above questions.Find a 1-1 tutor or try some other class and DONT waste your money with Excel.

It was the best decision to go with Excel for my college admission and test preparation needs. While I considered several other companies (both local and national) for test prep help, I was drawn to Excel by their emphasis on dynamic teaching and high-to-perfect scores on tests. After taking the 8 week summer intensive program at Excel Test, my SAT score improved by over 300 points. I would highly recommend this and the Exam Club they offer to anyone. My biggest advice would be to start early and be proactive in terms of preparing for the exam.

Overall, the class was fun, but informational. I learned a lot about specific techniques to help pace myself and finish with an ample amount of time to recheck my work. Additionally, the reading and writing techniques and rules that were taught were essential in helping me boost my scores by 200 points. Only issue is the extensiveness of the summer intensive course, which lasts all of summer. A lot of the classes seemed unnecessary and could have been focused on more workshops or reviews for the SAT subjects.

Excel was definitely a less stressful program than I expected it to be. The exam club was definitely the most helpful part. The more I took practice exams the more I improved. Understanding the exam and going into the test confidently helped me succeed.

What makes Excel different and better from other test prep centers is that not only do they focus on strategy, but they provide you with numerous resources to practice. The teachers are great at helping you learn the basic foundation, and also make sure to help you out with speed and accuracy, which I think is the most important part when taking standardized tests. Take full advantage of their exam club. Excel helped me get a 36 on the ACT because I could take as many practice tests as I needed, and my instructors always made sure to talk me through my mistakes. Would highly recommend!

I took an Excel class during the summer of 2014. During that time, the scores that I was receiving were not satisfactory for me. After taking the class, my scores improved tremendously to the point where I was very satisfied with the classes. More than the classes though, Excel provides Exam Club which I feel is tremendously important and useful.

I went to excel test prep this summer and it is by far one of the best sat prep classes I have taken (I took elite last winter break). They provide pizza really often and candy during all classes. However, I think that there should be more English classes that focus more on the writing or reading section of the sat instead of having so much emphasis on math classes that repeat similar information. Overall, I would recommend excel test prep to another student.

The company is very open to help you increase your score in every section. Excel has a variety of teachers that take a step by step process to help you identify and learn which answers to take. Its a great company and it really helps. I was quite nervous coming in the first day, by the teachers eased the tension and made sure we understood the lessons in an interesting way. I would not be prepared whatsoever for the SAT exam without Excel. The classes even helped prepare me for the next school year.

It was nice. The techniques they taught were pretty useful. I would recommend this program to someone with a decently high score ,1350 or above. I think that if you are a pretty self motivated person, then this is pretty good. But if you want hella practice, go to another prep school.
