We visit PetSmart just about 7 days a week. Our Zorah, Doberman, visits there DayCamp! The staff is wonderful! They took the time to actually get to know us and most importantly Zorah. She was recently awarded Dog of the Week! I am not sure what I would do without this service PetSmart offers!

My Granddaughter had to go get her rakin bearded dragon some worms and to get her dog a Birthday present. She found a lot of wonderful things for her dog. The workers were helpful in letting us know where things were located so we could find what we needed. They had the worms that she needed and we left very happy. Also the store was very clean.

I go to PetSmart fairly often, its the most convenient pet store and they have the best selection.Theres a vets office within the store which is great because I have to feed my dog prescription food and they will take my vets prescription so I can buy the food there. They had Hills prescription food treats appropriate for my dog which was awesome. My vet didnt sell those.Theres a huge selection of regular food and treats that I bought things from for a different dog. Theyve got big bags of house brand bully bites at a great price that my dogs were obsessed with. I bought Blue Buffalo food for my senior dog there too.I love the big window into the playroom for dogs theyre boarding and having at their day care. There are usually lots of dogs in there.The store is kind of huge which is great for selection but it makes it really hard to find things. Usually its hard to find anyone to help you. Also because of that you have to wait in line pretty much whenever you go.They have one of those annoying stems that makes you enter your phone number when you check out. Ugh!I go there anyway. Its the same pros and cons for big stores for humans. In the end its worth it.

I took my four-month-old puppy for a bath and received a call after 30 minutes saying that they had found tangled hair behind the ear that needed to be cut. When I inquired how visible it would be, they said it wouldnt be seen. I instructed them to clip the tangled hair behind the ear after hearing this. When I returned home with my pet, all I saw was that they had shaved his armpits.Firstly, who the hell gave you the permission to shave his armpits? He is just 4 month old puppy.Secondly, the employee lost their mind or what? Arent they aware they need to inform the owners first?When I see my dog armpits, I feel terrible. They made him look like he has some skin disease. Also the package included private part hair trim and the trim is horrible.If you are not good at what you do please change or train the employees first. Please dont keep providing terrible services. Despite the fact that many people advised against using Pet Smart, I trusted the brand and had a terrible experience. Im never coming back!!

If youre looking for dry goods for your cat, dog, or bird this place is great. Everything in the fish and reptile section is dramatically overpriced (sometimes double MSRP).I cant in good conscience recommend anybody get any live animals for any reason from any PetSmart location. The habitats are barely fit for temporary housing for the live animals. The aquariums arent even fit for temporary housing.

I recently adopted a beautiful fur baby from here. The lady that helped me was Michele S. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for her! She was so knowledgeable on not only cats but cat products as well. I was completely astounded with the level of information she possessed on cats. I wasn’t sure of food or accessories I was going to need for the new addition to our family, she helped me every step of the way. I told her I couldn’t spend a lot of money on certain things and she helped me not only save money but gave me a few coupons she was saving for herself! Michele has a love for cats that you can see and feel. She wants to make SURE that every cat is going to the RIGHT home. There was a couple cats that I was looking at, but decided on a specific one because of her back story and her needs as well as mine. Thank you Michele not only for what you did for me and my family but for the hundreds of cats you have and continue to help! I will be telling all my friends about you and the foundation ❤️

It is a great concept they have going with the day camps and overnight boarding but let me repeat myself but they do not come through on what they tell you there going to do e.g. I have brought our own food, blanket and treats in a nice nylon bag and will explain my directions and when I get the bag back at end the of the stay the bag hasnt even been touched and they always have some crazy excuse on why and this happens way to much. This happens at both places Fremont and Dublin.

I shop at this PetSmart frequently and always find what I need and theres always an employee nearby to assist. This time was a bit less than ideal. They were obviously short-staffed with only one checkout open and there were quite a few empty shelves (dog toys, grooming supplies and completely out of the only food my dog will eat...a little frustrating!) There was also some water on the floor by one of the display fish tanks. I hunted someone down to let them know so nobody would slip. It was still there when I left so I mentioned it again on the way out. Overall, not the seamless, stress-free experience Im used to at this store but we all have a bad day here and there, right? I would still recommend because this was the first time I wasnt totally satisfied when I left.

This PetSmart always has what we are looking for. Unfortunately they seem to be understaffed on the weekends so checking out takes a very long time. Otherwise, everyone is super friendly and its always a treat to see the cats looking to be adopted.

Most unhelpful. Came in for mite treatment (mind you I have never dealt with mites) on my 5yo Cat. The employee who was stocking was unable to help me but pointed me in the flea section. As I didn’t find the treatment, I asked for more help from her, she said she’d go get someone who would know. Couple minutes pass and she comes back by herself and says “well my manager said that’s all we have”. I must of had a super confused look so she said she’d go get him. And I said please. She leaves and comes back with Carl the manager who looks irritated and says proceeds to ask me what I need so again I say I need mite treatment not flea treatment.He says “I actually don’t know” (fumbles w phone as if going to look it up) but doesn’t then says “yeah here’s the flea treatment. this is all we have so... if you don’t find it then we don’t have it” and kept insisting the flea treatment that was for treatment of ticks and larvae as well, not mites. He also insinuated I buy it and see if it works. I left not only without help for my sick cat but worried and upset.Thank you, the reason I came to pet smart was bc I thought they’d be a little knowledge about these things. I’ll take my questions and money where it’s appreciated.

The lady that is in charge of the kittens is absolutely horrific, brute, and mental. The lady, Michelle S., refused to see us and inquire about two kittens we wished to adopt. When we asked her a question about the adoption process for kittens, she waved her hand in my face and told me to come back where I came from! Who does that?!? Then, after being in complete shock about our encounter with Michelle, my partner and I saw that there was a mother and her daughter who were looking at the kittens through the screen and looked so excited to adopt. We overheard Michelle say that she wouldn’t even go over there and help them because she doesn’t want them to adopt her kittens. I mean come ON. Does this lady want kittens to get adopted or not??!? There has to be some prejudice she has against people to refuse them service and help after they are GENUINELY CONCERNED and anticipating adopting a kitten into their family. She is so stingey and is an absolute nightmare. If you wish to adopt a kitten, literally don’t even waste your time with this hag. Just look at all the other reviews regarding her, they speak for themselves. Petsmart should really stop giving her total dictatorship over the kittens. She is absolutely ridiculous. I am genuinely concerned for her well-being.

This store is good for many thing but adoption process by Michelle and Ruth is the absolute worst! Each appointment made was ignored. Example we made an appointment at 2pm they ignored us until 5pm. Others came that had appointments every 1/2 hour. Some stayed some left. My daughter needed an emotional support animal. They lied and said we ‘adopted Jojo’ here when in fact they refused to give us a kitten because we wouldn’t be bullied into taking 2 kittens at once. We had one already and needed a friend for it. We then had 2 more appointments which they again were very late to. At the last appointment we showed up. At 2 pm. They texted they’d be late and would arrive at 3:15. They no showed. When 3:30 arrived I texted. No replies. My kids didn’t want to leave. Because they were promised by Michelle they would get a kitten. It hurt my kid emotionally to see Michelle say my kid wasn’t fit to have a kitten to love. She couldn’t understand it since it was already promised. Then I was told that they had an emergency kitten rescue in the valley. That it was more important than any appointment or people… I asked how would you adopt them out if no one came? They didn’t care. Their lack of respect to keep appointments or to communicate changes in plans shows the truth in that. Until petsmart removes them as a the kitten/cat adoption agency we will no longer be using petsmart.

One star for the Cat Adoption Services. Don’t even bother. This was our worst adoption experience. The women responsible for the cats is Michele S. She is inconsiderate and disrespectful of your time. It seems that she discriminated against anyone that is new to cats or relearning cats. I wish I would have read the reviews before I attempted to adopt here.On Saturday, I gave $120 deposit and was told that I would be adopting two cats. They were mine and that I would pick them up on Monday. I even received emails from PetSmart saying that I have adopted a pet.On Monday, we had a 3:30pm appointment to pick up the cats. We arrived at 3:20 and received a text that Michele would be late and wanted to reschedule for 4:30pm. She wanted to take the cats to get vaccinated, and had made an excuse that something came up so she would be late. She told us to shop around and that she would review our cart when she got back.Well, she was 1.5 hours late. She came back with the cats at 5pm. She told us that the cats didn’t even need the vaccines... so why did she take them to get vaccinated? We don’t know.Then she proceeds to say “no” to every thing we had picked out for the cats. She insisted on the products that she likes and would get annoyed if we tried to ask about other products. She didn’t give us a choice. After everything she placed in our cart that she insisted on, the total was well over $500.We were about to check out when she saw the cat box and carrier that we had borrowed from family to bring the cats home. Michele seemed to be upset and said “oh no, that’s not going to work!” She then ran off to the cat carrier isle and said “when I see something like that, it really upsets me.” This was a one-time use box that we were only going to use for the 30 minute drive back home.Then she asks to see us in the cat room and is asking if we are okay with cat hair on our clothes and who the cats are going to sleep with. She insisted that the cats need to sleep with someone in their bedroom.She left the room for 5 minutes on a call and came back to tell us that she does not want to adopt them out to us. She wasted 5 hours of our time and gas money, and work hours that we had taken off to pick up the cats. I felt horrible for my 13 yo brother who had already picked out names and prepared for the cats.PetSmart should seriously rethink allowing Michele to conduct business out of their facility.

We took our mini poodle in today to get groomed .this would be our 2nd time goin there .never ever again the place is small full of hair staff isnt friendly. One girl that stands out is Janelle shes a total wierd 0..not one visit did they listen or do what we asked alexia was the groomer today horrible .our dog has floppy ears she took them down too nothing horrible the the rest on the top of the head is un even .that place needs to be retrained .do not take your dog here they dnt listen .

I was originally supposed to adopt a pet hamster from this location, but because of the demand went to Milpitas instead. However, in both locations the hamsters looked healthy and well-cared-for.The staff was also very kind and answered any questions I had when looking into adopting a small pet.Now, I occasionally visit this PetSmart to buy any supplies for Friday (my hamster). The store is pretty organized and I can find things easily, and if I cant, theres always the awesome employees.

Usually the employees are very nice and knowledgeable. For the past month my daughter has been getting pest snails from them to feed her puffers. The gentleman that had helped in the past was very nice. Last week he said to call on Tuesday because that is when they get the fish in and would have more of the pesky snails. My daughter wrote the below review and asked me to post it because she was so offended by the employee she spoke with today.I called in around 3pm asking for some of the pest snails that come in on their shipments so I could feed my pea puffers that have a primary diet of snails. The lady I talked to was extremely rude and said the normal Hi thank you for calling Petsmart how may I help you?, but sounded mad that I had called. When I asked for the snails she then sounded very irritated and said We dont give those away because they treat their tanks with chemicals that could be harmful to your fish, but when I called last week I spoke to someone who said I could have them because they are unwanted. Since shopping at Petsmart have I never received such bad customer service! Needless to say I dont suggest calling Petsmarts fish department and you should just go inside or order on their website. I am also mildly concerned what they treat their fish tanks with if it is harmful to fish.

I asked for two small goldfish, and they asked me how much gallon tank i have. I told them 20 gallon,and then they said, your tank would not even hold one goldfish, we cant sell it to you, its our store policy. 😢 I really want to have those two small happy fish.😭😭😭 Ive had my small goldfish in a 5 gallon tank for over 3 years, and now I have a 20 gallon tank, and it cant fit 2 goldfish 😓

I would like to start off by saying I have nothing against Petsmarts employees. I have no complaints against their customer service or the products that the Petsmart offers.However, my 1 star review is solely directed at Michelle, the woman who runs the cat adoption program at this Fremont Hub Petsmart location. (39410 Argonaut Way Fremont, CA 94538)First of all, Michelle showed up extremely late to her appointments and even left customers waiting without notice. For example, she scheduled my appointment to finalize adoption at 3. My family and I showed up and found another pair of finalized adopters waiting too. They told us that they were scheduled at 2. Michelle ended up arriving at 3 for the pair and did not even bother to acknowledge or apologize for why she was late. When it was my familys turn to talk about adoption, it was 3:45. Furthermore, she would attend to other customers even though we were next up in line after a 2-hour wait. When we finally got into the adoption center after the wait, she prioritized clipping another cats nails of a person who just arrived at PetSmart without even asking us about our needs. It definitely made me and my family frustrated as to how she was not aware of how much time customers wasted when they were waiting in line idly.What really ruined my kitten adoption experience forever was Michelles insistence to follow her rules exactly to receive a cat. During our first informational talk, she made it clear that the cats were controlled by her and her only. Shortly before our final adoption appointment, we had seen the pair before us walk out with their new kitten after 45 minutes. My family and I were excited to bring our kitten home on that day after seeing that. During our wait in line, we were giddy as we put a carrier, a bed, and small toys we noticed that an adorable orange tabby liked in our shopping cart. After the pair in front of us left with their new forever kitten, Michelle then brought us into her adoption room and we agreed to adopt the orange tabby kitten. She then brought us around PetSmart to help us choose products like food and litter to buy for the kitten. She gave us choices and her personal recommendations.However, when I asked about the pricing difference between two different types of litter boxes, Michelle suddenly exploded saying, If you guys are caring about saving a few dollars here and there, I wont have time to deal with this.Michelle started to walk away, and then we asked, What about the kitten?Michelle retorted back with You wont get any kitten from me until you get all your stuff. Schedule another meeting another day. However, by the looks of it, she did not seem to plan for another meeting.We tried to protest, but she then grabbed the coupon book she gave us and went to help another person who did not even schedule an appointment.I just stood in the PetSmart in shock after this encounter. How can someone just shatter your dreams of the perfect kitten with one rude sentence? It felt like getting your newborn baby snatched away from you. I tried to look back at what my family and I had said and assumed there had been a misunderstanding or something like that. However, to this day, I do not believe that we said anything wrong. It was my familys first time adopting a kitten. Shouldnt it be normal to ask questions? There must have been some prejudice against us for her to respond to our ordinary questions in that astonishingly disrespectful way and suddenly cut off our adoption. There is no reason to accuse a customer of being stingy in any situation. Michelle had the audacity to show up late to our scheduled appointment and then claim that we were wasting her time because of our completely normal questions. We simply just wanted to learn more about caring about a kitten. As a result of one persons traumatic behavior, my family will never get our dream kitten.All I hope for now is that my dream orange tabby finds a good home and that PetSmart reevaluates their partnership with Michelle for cat adoption.
