They must offer some sort of discount for good reviews.I was looking for a new dentist, and decided to give them a try. Youd think theyd want to make a good impression on a new patient right? Pro tip: if you want to make a good impression, dont put someone in a dental chair thats so broken the footrest is literally sideways, dont use an X-ray machine thats held together with TAPE, and dont use a cracked and broken light for your exam! The place is falling apart. If thats how they care for their equipment, how are they going to care for your teeth?I let them do the X-rays, exam, and cleaning (had I noticed the tape on the X-ray machine beforehand, I might not have agreed), but by the time they were starting to discuss treatment, I was too sketched out, and decided to go somewhere else. Now they want to charge $50 for my records. I know theyre allowed to charge a reasonable fee for providing copies of records, but seriously, this is from one visit, and everythings digital. It doesnt take $50 worth of work to copy a couple of files into an email.Maybe they were a good practice back in the day and built up loyal customers that way, but considering the condition of the office, I have to wonder how many decades ago that was.

I was a patient a few years back but, left after the front staff rescheduled me multiple times. A co-worker of mine told me he was a patient at Designing smiles. He said the entire staff was awesome and that he loved the new dentist, Dr. K.I decided to give the office another try. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and spa like atmosphere. The 2 new front office ladies were very welcoming. The new manager was kind and knew a great deal about my dental insurance. .I really liked Dr. K. She was great and explained in detail the treatment I needed.Glad to be back at Designing smiles. I highly recommend.

My appointment is to inquire whether I am good candidate for dental implant. I was seen by a South Asian General Dentist without any people skills. The first question she asked me is what do you want me to do with her dentures,. No history taking was done, she did not asked me for how long I am a denture wearer, she did not even discuss with me what is the best treatment option for my situation , so in short she just talked to me in less than 5 minutes and asked her dental assistant to schedule me with the surgeon.So the reason for my visit was not address properly she was explaining which one is expensive .and which one is cheaper even if I am not asking for the cost.My suggestion is for that dentist to a attend a course on people skills.

Leaving after 8 years with Designing Smiles. Why? My cleanings is covered 100% but their system doesn’t recognize the coverage. I have to constantly argue about my coverage because theres always someone new working. Besides my dental hygienist, the front staff are rude and when I ask to speak to the business owner, I never hear back. I have to move on.

Stay away from this place, they will over charge you and the dentist will try and say you need work done in order to charge you even when your teeth are good as you were seen the hygienist a few months before and the teeth were fine. The one dentist is rough and when she cleans your teeth they dont feel clean.I had Invisaligns put on and at the time I was told that my retainer would be included, when it was time to fit me for the retainer they were giving me prices of 1200.00 or 500.00 and when I told them that I was told it was included they asked to see it in writing, like I would make this up.They bill you for things that werent done and what you have paid in advance. The staff keeps changing although the front office staff are very nice and helpful, except the billing clerk.If your smart you will find another dentist to go to. Beware!

Trust is the single most important aspect I look for in any vendor I do business with, especially so for a healthcare vendor.If you are a new patient who is there just to get your insurance-allowed regular cleaning, expect them to acknowledge what you are there for and still proceed to do all kinds of tests and measurements to give you a laundry list of procedures costing 1000s of dollars.If you choose to be a normal human being and not make a hasty, rushed, on-the-spot decision regarding the 1000s of $ in spend, expect that they will walk you out without any cleaning at all. It appears that a regular cleaning isnt worth their time compared to the 1000s of $ worth of other procedures they could be doing on other patients.Most of the work were not even required. My personal recommendation: they can’t be trusted - avoid this place unless you want to waste time, money and risk your health.If the overall rating looks good, sort the reviews here to see reviews over the last 6 months - the theme of my complaint repeats consistently. And the few positive ones appear to say very little (I.e. they are mostly fake).

I would highly recommend Designing Smiles. The office was clean and the staff very friendly. I really like Dr. Kulkarni. I will definitely be back, and plan on bringing my children as well.

My daughter got her braces here & overall has been a stressful journey. With the inconsistency ofchanging orthodontic doctors throughout her whole treatment as well of the front desk receptionist . I was really upset having to pay $400 for a retainer that was quoted to me in the price that I paid. When I asked if I can at least brake the payment up because I wasn’t ready to pay it all up front I was told no. One of the new girls was very rude And honestly I didn’t have the energy to argue. I don’t think it’s good costumer service to not honor your patients word after all with so many changes I feel like that’s the least they can do.

My wife and I had a horrible experience at Designing Smiles @ Mission! We were told that we had to get their mandatory deep cleaning service for our routine maintenance that will be carried out for 2 days with a charge of $1100 each person. We were there for our routine check up and cleaning. We have no issues in our teeth, no cavities and such. Yet we were forced to either do a deep cleaning or they will offer no cleaning at all. Dr. Lee was handling our case. I did some research on her and found out that she had a previous practice near Pleasanton that is now closed. The reviews there was very similar to our experience of up-selling not required work.This was after they did X-ray and consultation which they charged the insurance. I highly doubt if the other reviews for this business is true. We went to this place due to their positive reviews and we were extremely disappointed.We took at business elsewhere and the dentist there basically said we only need regular cleaning twice a year which we did. I do not recommend this place and caution others fol not falling into their $$ trap for requiring deep clean when it is not required.

I have been going these since almost a year now. Looks like they are in the business for a very long time. They understand every aspect of dental health and hygiene. The staff is super friendly. They definitely make me super comfortable by explaining everything they are doing with my teeth. They are always available to answer my teeth related questions.

Havent been to the dentist for a few years now, but so glad I found this clinic. I was able to get appointments that fit around my work schedule. Front desk staff and providers are friendly. They make sure you understand the treatment process and what to expect.

I have been using Designing Smiles for many years now. Alyson, the hygienist, is one of the best in the profession I have ever experienced. Her cleanings are very gentle and as comfortable as you could experience them. I highly recommend to ask for Alyson as your hygienist.

I had my crown done in this place. The crown has to be redone due to large gap between the crown and next tooth. Not only this, this place is also very expensive. Make sure you take a good look at your statement since sometimes they charge you twice for same treatment.

I have been coming to this dental clinic for over two years now. Dr. Ankita Shah and all her associates are very professional and really nice to work with. Not only are the treatments great but overall experience of working with everybody is very pleasing. Would always recommend this clinic for any dental work.

Always seem to be professional and very effective. Only had one instance when I didnt think they explained a treatment option clearly and the costs involved, but since then they have always been very clear about costs and what options are available. Sometimes think that maybe some of the fillings havent been necessary, although it is difficult to make that judgement.

A great experience out of all the orthodontist i visited my family choose this one because the service is great.

I was very disappointed with the treatment because it was hard to schedule appointment with them. They only open 4 days a week. Also, the emergency phone does not work when I was having problem with my wire, which they forget to cut.
