Getting these people to come out was like pulling teeth. We contacted them repeatedly, over three days, and they finally gave us an appointment window -- and then they stood us up. They literally didnt show up on the day they said they would. My wife gave up her afternoon for nothing.Im baffled. Not only is it unprofessional, it just doesnt make sense. Dont they want our money?I wish Id never heard of Rainbow. If we had gone with a different company from the start, we could have gotten help with our emergency in a timely way.

Shane and his crew arrived THE day my insurance company contacted them to tell them I had water damage from an unknown source. I had hired a plumber who came to my house, cut eight holes in the wall and the told me he could not find the leak and it was probably a slab leak. Shane arrived and told me not to call an expensive leak detector. He IMMEDIATELY found the cause of the leak/-the hot water heater and water purification system. Why the plumber did not find this is beyond me. Still, Shane and his team were punctual, told me everything they were doing and why, and helped me figure out what to do next. They kept my insurance company in the loop, and they came by to check on the fans and dehumidifier every day until the leak was fixed. They also took out the parts of the carpet and padding that were affected by the leak. If you ever have a leak in your home in which the wall or flooring are impacted, call this company. They are so kind and honestly work to save clients money while doing a thorough job. I hope I never need them again, but if I do, they will be the first I call.

My husband contacted Rainbow International of Fredericksburg via email on Monday, 8/31/20 after our kitchen flooded over the weekend and we discovered water damage and mold behind an appliance. When we didnt receive a response by email, he called and spoke with a customer service agent on Tuesday, 9/1. The agent was unable to contact a technician to schedule an appointment, but he took down our information and promised that someone would call us back shortly.No one called. Instead, my husband reached out again on Wednesday, 9/2 and was transferred to the Richmond office due to high call volume. Another customer service agent took down our information (again) and this time offered an appointment for Friday, 9/4, the day which Im writing this review. The appointment window was between noon and 5 pm. As my husband had to be at work, I remained on standby all afternoon for the technician(s) to arrive. As anyone that has had to wait during a vague time slot will know, there isnt much that you can do while you wait. I didnt cook lunch because I didnt want to be in the middle of eating when the folks from Rainbow International of Fredericksburg arrived. I didnt work in my garden because I wouldnt be able to hear them knock at the door. I preemptively isolated my overly-friendly cat in a spare room so that he wouldnt get in the way when the technicians arrived.The technicians never arrived. Around 4:30 pm, I began to think they had forgotten about our appointment. At 4:45 pm, I was almost certain that they had forgotten. I called and expressed my concern over no one showing up during the appointment window, and I was told that dispatch would be contacted and I would receive a call back with an estimated time of arrival. I discussed the matter with my husband and we decided that we dont want to do business with a company that was so difficult to communicate with in the first place. We contacted Rainbow International of Fredericksburg to cancel our request for service, and thought that was the end of it.And then my husband received a call from a manager at Rainbow International, who was apologetic and wanted to understand what happened and to make things right. He said that there was no record of our appointment in their system, and that this was the first that he was hearing of my husbands name and our situation. If youre keeping track, thats one email that went unanswered, and two instances of a customer service associate taking down our information and then losing it.Little more needs to be said. Rainbow International of Fredericksburg was recommended to us by the president of our homeowners association as well as our HOAs property manager. We trusted their recommendations and were disappointed at the outcome. The competitor company that we called was able to come to our house within two hours of my phone call to them, but because so much time had passed while we had wrongly placed faith in Rainbow International of Fredericksburg, all traces of our flooding event had dried and aside from spraying some cleaner on the affected drywall, there was nothing that they could do. If the drywall was still wet, they would have removed it then and there. Instead, we now have to jump through more insurance hoops and find an approved contractor to remove the drywall.We accepted the managers apology and Im not looking for another one, but I hope that my honest and detailed review can spark improvement within the companys communication chain. I dont mean to disparage the reputation of Rainbow International of Fredericksburg; Indeed, I had been looking forward to doing business with them after they were highly recommended to me. Im hopeful that this was a one-off incident but I wish that it could have been avoided.

I had great feeling with this place. I think the guys name was Shane ? He was extremely courteous and very empathetic after I had major water damage from a bursted hot water pipe in the basement that went unnoticed for go knows how long. Was horrible and it ruined everything. Rainbow helped us through the entire process I am am greatly appreciative of their service. Thank you all so much.

Mitigation Lead Joe Martin was very knowledgeable, quick and courteous from gaining necessary approvals from my insurance carrier to drying out my property. All phases of the project were explained in detail and I would highly recommend Raindow International of Fredericksburg should you find yourself needing water Mitigation services. Ask for Joe!!!

Referred by my insurance company for water mitigation. They were fast and on time. They removed an area rug for cleaning, 2 months later and it has yet to be returned. Ive called three times and finally was told the rug was in the drying process and would be returned in 2 days. What kind of cleaning process takes 2 months? What type of customer service is this?
