This is the 3rd time we have had Mr. Handyman out in the last 3 years for a variety of jobs around our home. Some big jobs, some small.As always, courteous, quick and reliable!We have recommended Mr. Handyman to friends and family as we are very confident in the great service they will receive!We will also be calling them again when the need arises.

Our front door frame was rotted, the door itself was badly peeling and a porch light was dangling. It all was fixed in a day. Well mostly - I agreed to finish staining the door to reduce the hours, but all the hard work that I did not want to do was done. Kenardo was professional and mindful of the time needed for the job and did excellent work. I would definitely call them again.

We always get the same person to come out named Jared. He’s wonderful and professional! He’s been out to our home at least 3 times, and always does quality work on our home. He’s installed light fixtures, cabinets, built us a doorway/installed a door, fixed our gas fireplace, replaced or completely installed new light fixtures, among other projects. I don’t know if there is anything he can’t do!

Mr. Handyman replaced an outdoor stove vent hood because I didn’t have a ladder long enough to reach it. Work was done professionally. I would have given 5 stars but the price overall was a bit too steep to recommend their services to friends. But I knew that going in so I’m happy overall.

We were told a tile job would take two days. That was on a Friday. It is now Tuesday night at 8:45 pm and Matt is still in our house and telling us the job will not get done 😑. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone! Can you give someone 0 🌟? For the price they charge you would think they would move a little faster! Matt left a mess in the house on the 2nd night of work! Left early on the 1st day of work!Just call someone else!

After making a request online last night I received a call this morning. After talking for 10 minutes she put me on hold and gave me a quote and found out that a technician was in the area if I wanted same day service.Jimmy Smith finished his previous job early in which I received a call to make sure it was alright for him to come earlier in the day. I also received a text with his picture stating that he was 30 minutes out.He repaired two of my dry wall issues. During the whole repair he explained what he was doing and the time that it would take. He worked the two jobs together so while one was drying he was coating the other wall. He explained the charges and the time it took the finish which was exactly the time that he thought it would take at the start of the job. He worked with no breaks and three hours later it looks perfect. He explained upfront that it would need to dry overnight and left me the sander if I wanted to complete it myself. Or I could request for him to come back to sand it if I wanted too.He was super sweet to my children running around and me running around to make sure school was still going on virtually. He did not let that distract him from doing his job so I didnt pay for him to stand there and talk.I am beyond pleased and will be requesting him again to do the next drywall repair. One room at a time but these cracks and pieces that are falling off the wall will look good again! Thanks to Jim.

I had to have my dishwasher secured to my cabinets and wall trim needed a gap filled due to a new counter installation so both were done quick and easy. I also had a light fixture hung in my foyer. We had some drywall nail pops that returned after a few weeks. I called and an appointment was made to remedy the problem without any issue or delay. $2000 for deck repair and it looks absolutely horrible. Even the tech agreed it looked awful. Its been 11 hours and hes still here trying to fix this mess. Still an ongoing situation. Ill let you all know how it turns out. So far NOT so good. And had it been made clear that it was 2k worth of work I would have entertained other quotes. Today was the second time that I have hired Mr. Handyman. My first time hiring them was because I liked the fact that their employees are required to be fingerprinted. This might not seem important to everyone but to me it added a sense of security.I have been very pleased with the company. When scheduling this second appointment I requested Jimmy Smith as he was the person that had done my previous work. He is very friendly and professional. Kind of our go to guy.I will definitely use Mr. Handyman in the future and I recommend them to anyone looking for that handyman stuff that you just cant, or dont want, to do yourself.

The technician was very thorough. He took the time to explain everything to me, as there were issues that were identified after he started to complete the initial job. It was more expensive than I thought, and I wished the technician cut out some of the small talk, but all and all, I was pleased with the end result.

I am surprised to see an overall 4.7 rating here and in other websites like yelp and yellow pages, the ratings are down to 2.5. Interesting!!This past Saturday a gentlemen named Neil came out to our home to do simple touch up painting and small dry wall repairs. After 1.5 hours of set up he proceeded to see if he could just paint touch ups or the whole wall. He decided that he would need to paint the whole wall, and then decided that we would need a painting contractor versus him to finish the task. I wish he told the same 1.5 hour before. In that ways, we would have at least saved some money. My wife and I were accommodating and asked him to use the time to fix up wall patches and paint over. He reluctantly did, while complaining of what type of technique, material and what not he needed to use to get it done and that he could not paint over because it would not dry fast enough. He completed the dry walling and did a little bit of sanding but not fully. We asked him to do all the dry walling perfectly, for which the gentleman replied, in his own wordsOh, no job is going to be 100%Then why on the earth, would you deserve a 100% payment?We are now left with a large bill we paid for of $400.00 and a house full of more work than what we needed to begin with. Walls full of dry wall patches. Nothing was fulfilled in this visit. I paid for a bill of $400.00 without anything to show for it.My wife did call the owner Rob, but he was of a little help because he merely said that the handyman did what he was supposed to. Taking 3 hours for fixing 7 medium sized dry wall patches is unheard off. Worst thing, is they were not sanded properly. All in All, a TERRIBLE experience and please stay away from these folks.Going by the previous reviews, the owner would be out here to give a justification which is fine, but the question he should ask himself is 3 hours for fixing 7 medium sized dry wall patches, that too not sanding and then charging a customer (repeat by the way) $400.***Update as of 10/06/2017*** : The owner asked me to send some pictures and I did for which he replied, in his own wordsThats because the job was not finished. Drywall repair is done in steps. It needs a final coat and sanding. It cannot all be done in a single visit. I tried to explain this before I was rudely hung up on.To be honest, I do not know what to say. Three hours to get the job done looks like it is not enough. He was super rude to my wife, so he had to be dealt rudely as well.

Mr Handyman did a great job on two projects. In May, I hired Mr. Handyman to install cabinets and rough in a new peninsula with service bar in my kitchen, which had been stripped of cabinetry to allow for new tile to be laid. The design for the new layout (provided by me) involved changing the shape of the existing peninsula and then reinstalling nine of the original cabinets, as well as seven new ones. The two-man crew, Cornett and Jimmy, worked quickly and efficiently to install this mixture of new and old kitchen cabinets after roughing in a 3-sided peninsula, designed by me. The cabinets and peninsula were leveled with precision and reinforced in order to accommodate the weight of a new granite counter top and back splash. The construction and installation was all completed within a 12-hour day. While I provided most of the material, the crew worked closely with me throughout the day to ensure that they had the type and quantity of raw materials needed for the job. Because the work done was of very good quality, this crew was specifically requested to handle another renovation project in the lower level of the townhouse in June.The second project involved reconfiguring the non-load bearing studs on one side of the town house lower level, in order to replace a large closet and average bathroom with a rough-in for a galley kitchen and small bathroom. The crew observed all coding requirements and advised me on potential placement of electrical outlets, switches, and venting. Again, the work was completed in one day. The crew also had the means and capability to move several heavy large furniture units to the garage, which expedited the process of removing baseboard and carpet throughout the lower level in preparation for the installation of new flooring on schedule.Obviously drawing on decades of experience, Cornett and Jimmy tackled both renovation projects in a creative, flexible, and extremely competent way. As such, they were able to translate my design ideas for these two projects into a workable and fabulous reality at a reasonable price.

The entire experience with Mr. Handyman was great. The agent who took my call and coordinated the date to the gentleman who showed up. My renters were very pleased. He took care of both problems in the 2-3 hours . I also received a call from the scheduler confirming and advising when he would be showing-up. My renters were satisfied. If I could give Mr. Handyman zero stars, I would. The company is a scam and fraud. I hired them to install a 10 sq. ft. ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen. Tile was standard off the shelf and I had all the supplies. I was told that they would bring tools, including a tile saw (which I specifically asked about). When the technician arrived he had no saw that could cut tile. Two hours later (which I was charged for), he came back with a saw (which I was also charged for) and finally started work. 4 hours later the tile was up (more or less). The technician damaged about a dozen tiles but installed them anyway. He said that when he returned in 2 days to grout he’d fix them with a hot glue gun. He did that, charging me $102 for a hot glue stick (even though I had some on hand). Of course he failed to repair 2 of the broken tiles and grouted over them. Oops. The grouting job itself is a disaster. The technician grouted over electrical outlets, grouted wood cabinets and rubbed a big hole in my wall trying to wipe down the excess grout he slopped everywhere. There’s a new patch and paint job in my future; thanks Mr. Handyman! Patches of tile have no grout, patches have glops of it. I guess it evens out? Best of all, he grouted the protective plastic wrap that the tile came in — yes, grouted in plastic shreds (which I can’t remove without digging out grout). Corners and edges are all grout, no tile. My kitchen looks like a disaster. 10 hours of labor and almost $1500 — the technician won’t leave without being paid. I called the home office twice trying to reach someone to help. But they already had their check, so no luck. I’ve tried twice to reach the owner, Rob, but “he may not come to the office for awhile.” No call back of course. I’ll be filing an MHIC complaint and filing a fraud complaint with the state comptroller. Do yourself a favor — avoid this scam of a company. You will be defrauded.

Our Mr. Handyman technician, Mr. Jimmy Smith, was simply outstanding. Mr. Smith sealed a leaking kitchen window for us. In the past, whenever it rained water poured under the aforementioned window and ran all over the floor. Mr. Smith examined the window and determined it needed to be properly calked. Since Mr. Smith finished his work for us it has rained several times, with heavy wind and rain. The window is like new allowing our kitchen to remain water free. Mr. Smith was professional, knowledgeable, and took a genuine interest in his work and the concerns of the customer.

They never disappoint. They are always my go to for things needed around the house. I just hope they partner with home warranty company in the near future.

Everybody makes mistakes, and I allow one per company and allow them to make things right, but something is off with the way things are currently being run. Ive had them come out for about 5 total jobs and the last two have been bad. The first mistake, the technician didnt handle a leaky shower correctly and his repair caused the leak to move from external to internal to the walls causing a great deal of water to come down from the 2nd floor. The second and most recent time a technician came out, started work and had to leave for an emergency. I was told hed be back the next day, no call from the office or the technician, then, I had to call them and reschedule (after not hearing from them for two days). No reason, no discount given for the inconvenience, not even an apology. Unacceptable. Dont use them.

On time, professional, work done in timely manner and high quality, finds solutions to problems and doesnt assume that repair or new is better (and possibly more expensive ) without looking at issue. Have recommended to several neighbors who have used their services.

Worst handyman ever! Do not hire! Destroyed the drywall around my windows (4 year old house)because he was too lazy to use a drill and drywall anchors. Didnt finish the job, then charged my tenant 286.00 for a mess that took hours to fix.Save your money and hire someone else!
