Freaking love this place. Atmosphere is very laid back. Very challenging routes. Awesome work out. People are very welcoming. No rude people. The only way they can improve this place is by having a bbq pit going. Hahahaha. Will definitely recommend the place to others and we will be coming back for sure, after I work out and get better so I can really enjoy the place to the fullest.

I started climbing 2 months ago. Since then Ive gained 10 lbs of solid muscle. Every time I climb I learn somthing new. The staff is super professional and very easy to talk to.

Great place, the people who work there are nice and willing to help you, I only visited for the day pass and Im already itching to go again. Its fun.

This place is the best! I am relatively new to climbing and started at a later age than most (lets just say 50+). Climbing is a great workout and a lot of fun and I encourage you to try it. The people that climb here, in addition to the owner and staff, are very welcoming and friendly. It is a safe and clean environment where I feel comfortable, even since covid-19 rocked our world. What sets the boulder yard apart from the several other climbing gyms I have visited is the number and variety of routes and the community atmosphere. I highly recommend the boulder yard.

I was there for a USA climbing competition. Crash mats were soft. Routs were great but werent marked with grades. Staff was pleasant. Bathrooms were dirty. The gym is also rather small

This is an independently owned gym not a franchise with a very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and great yoga instructors. My entire family has climbed here for almost a year and cannot get enough of it. A climbers gym with lots of equipment geared to help you become stronger. There are many excellent climbers here, but climbers of all levels are welcome and included in a fantastic community environment. The route setters create a wide variety of original routes that are changed often and are longer than what you see in other gyms.

Tiny dirtbag-style gym with a great selection of boulders. Nice big and cushy crashpads. Staff are super nice. Chill vibe. Longer routes than many commerical gyms (willing to set longer traversing routes because of lower traffic). They also have a moon board, treadmills, and training equipment. Support local and check it out!

Great place to get in a good work out in an alternative way. Not the most beginner friendly in terms of technique and skill level but still fun.

This place is the best. Staff is very helpful and relaxed. Steve (the owner) can be regularly seen on the floor helping people climb better. On top of that the local community is super friendly and encouraging. There are so many different problems to try and new ones are regularly added.

We have been climbing at the Boulder Yard for a year! If you want a laid back gym with great routes that has a variety for everyone, you need to check this place out! Our son loved it so much after coming one time, he joined the competition youth climbing team. Amazing owners and awesome coaches!

I keep meaning to write a review. I have been coming here since September... I think, and I love this place more every week. The guys that work here are amazing in every way. They are so nice, encouraging, and talented. They make me feel valued and capable. Steve (owner) is just the most amazing person you will ever meet and works so hard to make the boulder yard amazing with climbs challenging for climbers of all levels. Mike (boxing) kicks my butt making me hit the gym. Other Steve (yoga) is a perfect mix of flow of holding positions / zen and strength. And everyone (particularly Noah) are AMAZING with my 7 year old son. I cant wait for my son to start working with Jeramy to learn more moves in a few weeks. I am beyond grateful for this place and that these people are in my life. Check this place out!

The staff couldn’t be more friendly, Steve and gang are extremely helpful and will even give you tips if they see ways you can improve. It’s a smaller gym, but the sense of community really makes it. There’s a nice, relaxed environment to climb for beginners and vets alike. New problems are created frequently enough to keep it feeling fresh but not too frequently that you can’t come back to conquer one that’s giving you trouble. Anyone interested in climbing really needs to check this place out!

Nice place. Friendly staff. I used a Groupon and had an issue but the owner called me in a few minutes and resolved it and took constructive criticism very professionally. Kids had a great time. They were worn out in a few hours.

I love this place. If i lived in the area i really wouldnt mind getting a membership. Luckily i showed up with a friend on a friday, they were able to provide her shoes for free. They have a bouldering wall (obviously) and some gym equipment. It all seems pretty much brand new. The ground cushion is really soft, no worries about jumping from the end of a route. It seems like they also have a lot of ancillary activities as well, the guy behind the counter told us about how they held an escape room in the gym with over 50 people in attendance.

This gym is awesome! Really great staff. They know everything there is to know about climbing and will help you get stronger or just provide an encouraging environment to climb in. best gym around if you wanna climb in a relaxed setting with a variety of terrain (probably the steepest longest bouldering wall around which includes the earth treks’s in the area). Go here if you wanna get strong, have fun, or both without the BS of a huge commercialized gym.

Old school, positive climbing gym vibes, but with modern walls and thoughtful setting. Good for beginners and hardos alike. Friendly, encouraging staff and constantly updated route setting, love this joint!

They change up the rocks every month so its not always the same everytime. The staff os great and super helpful!

The routes were fun, but it was pretty shady-looking and a lot of things were broken to the point that they were dangerous and someone climbing fell and got injured while we were there. Also a bit dirty.

I have had several great experiences at The Boulder Yard and always look forward to going back. My 9 year old son has joined their youth team and has been having a blast.

They were doing construction on the walls right where kids were climbing. My friend fell off of the wall and there was a hole in the mat, so she sprained her ankle and is on crutches. The staff did really try to help though. The place was overall pretty dirty too, though.

Great independent bouldering gym, with friendly staff and great vibe. Has an upstairs portion with yoga and meditation, as well as a workout space on the main floor, all of which are open use.

Steve and the rest of the staff really care about making a great environment for climbers and non climbers. Also the problems are great.
