Parking is not good and the wait/line is usually very long. Staff helpful.

This post office has a great staff including Julie, until I met CHRIS. Today, I mailed in a package and since I didn’t sign the Customs Declaration Dispatch Note because I wanna make sure that I filled the form correctly before I put my signature on it. I asked him politely if he has a pen, he searched in his drawer where obviously there are two pens on top of his desk, on plain sight. He found one and threw it to me. Check your security cam footage. So, I thanked him for that gesture of throwing the pen to me. He was quiet and didn’t even apologize for his action. That was unprofessional and immature for his age. He could’ve known better. I gave him 1 star or no star at all, but still this post office is good for the most part.

If I’m using the package machine in the lobby, it’s a great time. Super easy, super fast. If I want to talk to an employee for any reason, the wait is ridiculously long and the employees are discourteous.

Hi I have appointment 12.00 pm I when to 11.50 Then say person go to lunch I will call 12.30 now 12.40 no call this is not good

Probably the nicest, most professional and courteous postal office Ive been to. I arrived super early for a passport appointment and thought Id have to wait to be seen. They were glad to take me in and I have to say, Michelle was a pleasure to work with. She was attentive, sweet and answered all my questions. Made the process so smooth. We need more postal offices like this one. Good job to the staff there.

Im not mailing anything in this post office again. I mailed a flat rate package last month but lost my reciept anyway the tracking number was invalid. The most they could do was have me file a claim if i found it. Now yesterday it happened again the computer generated the wrong tracking number. Thats rediculus they should just refund the buyers money an not have someone file a claim. Also they seem to charge a little more for packages then say Hempstead post office on the same weight package. ill be shipping my packages at a different post office from now on smh

If I could rate this post office lower I would. For over the past 6 months I had to make several trips to this post office regarding mail not being delivered and notification for certified letters not be left at my residence. The staff and management have a very lackadaisical approach to their work and take no action in finding a resolution although they know I have to come in 2-3 times every month with the same complaint with them offering absolutely no recourse.

The front desk people (tellers) are so sweet so nice, thank you.BUT the new manager at this moment is the meanest person in the entire post office franklin square ny branch.She is very unpleasant lady, when you ask a question she is not patience at all, she is sarcastic and provide only de answers according of her mood.I expecting from a manager... a very frienly person who is ready to help (the community) you or direct you in a very nice way.I understand we are having a very estressfull situation and they are not working with the complete crew.But just because of that (its a very strong reason), she must bring to every customer a pleasant post office service experience.If that behave is with the customers... then I cant imagine how is she with her own crew.Nothing personal but that manager title is too big for you. You have to learn good Maners.

I’ve used this post office several times. The staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they stay open during the day. I noticed some of the other locations close for an hour or so mid-day.

Went here for a passport photo and the process was quick and easy. Michelle was extremely friendly and helpful. She facilitated the process and explained everything very clearly. Will definitely recommend. Great customer service!

Worse Post office

The supervisor that works here is such a nasty person that should be fired from her job doesn’t know how to speak to people I would never use this place agian unless there fire her and get someone that isn’t nasty her name is Natalie or Melanie that’s what she told me

This post office is nice. The employees are professional and personal. The building is a little dated but ok for the volume of people using it. The mail carriers are very nice and will take the time to talk to you as they do their routes. The Franklin square post office does a great job.

I am really happy this is my nearest post office. I usually have questions and they are very helpful.

I live in the neighboring town and bring all my packages and mail to this post Office for years because they are the friendlylest people, always helpful and get the job done.Just because you have to wait in line, like everyone else, doesn’t warrant a neg review because I’ve seen some characters come through with crazy questions, questionable packages and some down right rude behavior.

Expecting good customer service from the male staff s not polite but female staff s are awesome customer service

Very nice and professional at the post office, but as far as delivery is concerned Ive experienced several missing packages which I reported and never got refunded.

The workers here are very friendly and helpful. Theyll give you pointers to make sure you dont overpay for what you need to ship.

Cool place. Used to sell stuff on eBay and shipped it here. Came here quite often and quite contradictory to other reviews, staff was nice and service was fast.

Came home to find the mail person going through the bushs to deliver the mail instead of using the ramp. When I shake my head in disbelief she asks me if I have a problem. I say use the ramp and stop using the bushes. She tells me Im not using your ramp. Ive also called the post office telling them to close the lid on the mail box 3x. Still havent done it. Always have wet mail. Sometimes completely destroyed.Use the Garden City PO for my other needs. NEVER a problem. Go private, pay the xtra and get rid of these people once an for all. Waste of money. Even if its only 50 cents.

I am giving this post office one star because when i use their services my packages never reaches their destination. BEWARE!! your package will not get delivered use another post office.

Very snotty staff, i have dealt with Michelle for a while, very nice person, i had a PO Box at this location for almost 2 years , my son passed away in February, then my dad passed away in March, i was unable to get to the location to pay my $33.00 box renewal, turns out the new girl in charge of the po boxes rented my box to someone else without notifying me, i called several times to let them know my situation, but they took their own recourse, thank God i dont have to deal with their ugly , snobby attitudes anymore, this is what kind of people the post office hires ? Lol, they act like they are better and entitled to have a bad attitude because they work for the US Post Office, sad

It’s really inconvenient of us to disturb the staff by asking them for our packages. They get really cranky about it. 😂

Absolutely horrible service. Lines are long and trying to reach anyone by phone is a joke.

2/18/14: Waited in line for over 25 minutes for a passport photo, just to get to the teller to have them tell me that their camera is broken. Ive been to this branch before and always had to wait. Ive never had a good experience here.

Always busy with to few employees at counter. Parking can be a real pain.

Worst Post Office in existence. I had a very expensive document mailed directly at the window on Sept 1 WITH tracking. 5 weeks later it still shows in Franklin Square Post office with NO movement at all. I called..filed numerous claims on line..nothing. I went back to this PO and spoke to a so called supervisor who was kid and I feel was sent out to talk to me to apease me who basically dismissed me and told me it left the PO to the next location and they forgot to scan it in. LIES!!! He took NO responsibility at all. I made a scene and others saw that he was so rude and dismissive to me. This Post Office needs to be investigated by the Postal Service. They are so poor at their job and customer relations. I lost a very expensive document and they could care less. My tracking number meant NOTHING to them. They are THE worst Post office I ever had to experience and they should all be investigated how poorly run this branch is. As you see I am NOT the first one here to complain about this branch. THIS seems to be an on going problem with this branch. Heads need to roll and they need to be investigated on their poor performance. The service is abysmal!
