This is a letter from my mom about her wonderful experience with Carson Hearing..............February 27, 2021I have been wearing hearing aids for close to 10 years and have never had much success. So, when my grandson suggested that I try Carson Hearing, I went along but didn’t expect much. Robin Carson was so sweet from the very beginning. She tested my hearing both with and without my hearing aids. Sadly, the results were dim and dimmer. Without my hearing aids I was hearing at 3%. With my hearing aids I was hearing at 10%. Yes, 10%! No wonder relatives had to shout and the television had to be blaring even though I was wearing my hearing aids. They would amplify everything so the sounds and feedback were overwhelming.There was something Robin said that really stuck with me. She said some people were out to sell hearing aids and some were there to help people hear. She wasn’t about to sell me hearing aids unless they really helped. After the testing she gave me demos that allowed me to hear at 76%. WOW! 76%!!I am 88 and I have lost some hearing, and I know I will never be at 100% again. But to be able to hear tones and voices at 76% was a miracle to me and my new 100%. The demos allowed Robin to see what I needed most because of my environment. I no longer leave the dinner table because I cannot hear the conversation. I can hear my daughter in the kitchen when I am in the dining room. I don’t turn the television to blaring volumes any more and I can hear conversations without having the speaker repeat or read their lips. My hearing aids are programmed for my special hearing needs and I cannot thank Robin enough.From the moment that I walked in to Carson Hearing, I felt the warmth and kindness of all the employees from the ladies at the front desk to the different audiologists working in the office.I have spoken many times to family and friends about my new hearing aids and the knowledgeable care at Carson Hearing. Cannot recommend highly enough. Took my 93 year old father in with a significant hearing loss. He was treated respectfully and kindly in ways he could understand. After testing and receiving his hearing aids designed specifically for him he could hear me talking in normal voice from 15 feet away with his back to me and no visual stimulation. I was put off at first by the receptionist who was not wearing a mask or face covering and immediately requested insurance information even though I had been told the screening visit was no charge. Once the audiologist, Dr Sancer, came for me and worked with me, my impression changed. She was professional, caring and put no pressure on me about hearing aids. I will be back in 6 months or a year for another test and probably hearing aids. I like that Carson Hearing Care has several hearing aid options and is not limited to one manufacturer.

Erich was very professional. He did a couple of hearing tests and helped me understand my options. I also met Dr.Carson she was very lovely. Receptionist was very polite and kind. I will definitely return if necessary.

I saw Robin Carson years when she was with another company in Fort Worth. My more recent audiologist did not accept my insurance. I was excited to discover that Carson Hearing Does. Erich is my Man!!!! Awesome job!!!!

Flying for the Air Force for many years and being around loud engine noise took its toll on my hearing. My hearing loss was insidious and slowly got worse over time so I wasn’t consciously aware of sounds I could no longer hear. After years of my family begging me to do something about my hearing loss I responded to a radio ad for a free trial of the Lyric hearing aids at Carson Hearing Center. The Lyric sounded pretty amazing and I figured I had nothing to lose. I’ll start by saying the Lyrics have been life changing for me AND my family. It’s really one of those “I didn’t know I had a headache until the pain went away” type of deals. The moment Dr. Erich put them in my ears I was blown away by what I had not been hearing all of those years. It was like someone who can only see black and white suddenly being able to see color. I’m no longer having to read lips and piece together parts of conversations as I pretend to understand what everyone is saying. I don’t talk loud anymore because I can actually hear myself speak. The TV and radio are no longer blowing my wife out on full blast, and the subtitles are no longer necessary. The word “Huh” isn’t in my vocabulary anymore. This might sound crazy, but because I couldn’t hear well and I wasn’t fully aware of what was going on around me, I used to get really irritated and confused. I truly thought it was maybe an aging issue, but my situational awareness returned when my hearing was restored and the irritation and confusion went away. I’ve tested other hearing aids in the past and couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on them because they just didn’t improve my quality of life that much. I found they were more of a distraction to me than an “aid”. The Lyric experience has been completely different. It’s given me back one of my five senses without forcing me to compromise on sound quality, appearance, or convenience.People (spouses/significant others) who don’t have hearing problems can’t fully appreciate “the struggle” that us hearing challenged folks go through. One of the neatest aspects of our Carson Hearing Center experience was having Dr. Erich use their proprietary and state of the art software so my wife could experience EXACTLY the level of hearing loss I was dealing with. This aspect was important for us as a couple as we talked over how much of a priority my hearing aids should be in our budget. They’re not cheap, but when I compared them to the other options I found the marginal increase in total price was well worth the investment considering the value I’m getting. My wife was willing to pay whatever it costs so she could get her husband back. The way I looked at it financially was if twenty years ago someone had asked me how much I’d be willing to get paid annually in exchange for losing my hearing to the level it is today, I would tell them to pound sand. But if there was a price, it would certainly be WAY more than the Lyrics cost me annually. So why wouldn’t I be willing to pay a smaller amount now to get my hearing back to where it was twenty years ago? I also really appreciated that Carson Hearing put absolutely zero pressure on me to move forward when my trial period was up.I’m a huge fan of the Lyric, BUT I’m an even bigger fan of Carson Hearing Center. The entire team is pretty amazing. They’re happy, fun, welcoming, responsive, and extremely professional. It would be so nice if all doctor’s offices, and businesses in general, would duplicate the positive culture this practice has mastered. As an owner of a small family-owned business, I also like that Carson Hearing is locally owned and operated and they pour back into the community. If you have to go to the hearing doc anyway, I promise this will absolutely be a doctor’s visit you actually look forward to.

I had the unfortunate experience of when I went to replace the battery in one of my hearing pieces recently and when I took the earpiece out of my ear the dome wasn’t attached. I wasn’t sure where it went as I never found it, but didn’t think it was in my ear so I replaced the dome and went on/but with a very uncomfortable concern that it could still be loose in my ear. After a couple of weeks of uneasiness and at the suggestion my girlfriend (and a patient at Carson Hearing) an appointment was made and they very graciously got me right in. Lydia was the audiologist that helped me and she immediately upon inspection discovered the dome still in and slightly embedded in my ear and in minutes extracted it!I am an ex-Marine combat veteran and the VA couldn’t see me due to COVID-19 delays in appts! Dr. Carson’s office got me in on the same day I reached out to them for help, and Lydia was a true blessing and certainly became my hero!! I can’t say enough about Lydia and Carson Hearing professionalism and such great help! Thanks so very much could never be enough!

I was struggling with how to move forward with my current hearing aids delivered from another hearing provider and it was suggested to get a second opinion from another provider, Carson Hearing Care. I called and they suggested a review and they would provide me much needed advice and feedback.I went in, they reviewed my condition, my current devices, the manufactures warranty period, and then even offered to check the current settings of devices vs the results of a hearing test they performed to verify I was getting maximum benefit out of my devices.In summary, this is the best I have ever felt about the care and concern that was shown and offered me. Dr. Carson was complete, very informative, honest with the evaluation and practical with suggestions and then left it up to me on what to do for an action plan giving me multiple ideas to work on.I am switching to Carson Hearing going forward as they offer the best care and most concern for the well being of their patients, and even for me, who had not made any decision to switch care providers. I am now in their camp and moving forward.

I would have given 5 stars because I appreciate the time and treatment that Robin and her staff give each time. My hearing aids were adjusted so they’re performing better, but they still shrill on occasion for no reason — if I fluff up my hair with my hands or run a brush through it, or sometimes when I’m just sitting or standing. I’ve never been given an explanation for why this happens, and the whinging noise is terribly annoying.

Growing up, my grandfather had always been hard of hearing. I just got really used to yelling loud enough to where he could hear me. However, as the years/decades passed, his hearing deteriorated significantly. Sure, he had tried this hearing aid and that hearing aid (which just amounted to thousands of dollars down the drain). He honestly had very little hope in his ability to hear. Because he is in otherwise FANTASTIC health, note being able to hear made him sad and frustrated to be watching the life around him pass him by in silence.My mom took my 88 year old grandfather to see Dr. Robin Carson. She thoroughly examined him and explained the results and options with time and care. She was professional, accommodating, patient, kind, and adamant in finding a solution. Two weeks after their visit (when his new hearing aids came in), my grandfather heard clearly for the first time in DECADES. He was overwhelmed with gratitude, joy, and thankfulness. Wonderful and friendly staff and drs

As an adult that has not had my hearing checked since elementary school, I was not sure what to expect. The staff was friendly, the office was nice and Dr. Carson was very helpful and explained everything in an easy to understand way. This is where I will be going for my hearing care needs!

I had CostCo hearing aids, I thought they were pretty good, the ones I got from Carson changed my opinion. I now rate the CostCo aids at a 5 and the Carson aids at a 10. They are much more comfortable. I dont even notice I have them on and the sync with my iPhone is excellent and easy to operate.

Recently had to buy hearing aids and went to Carson. They have a very home feel to the office, not like some of those larger offices where they have 20 people in the waiting room. In my 3 visits so far, at most, there were just 2 others in the office. Everyone is very courteous, professional and they really take care of their patients. So glad I gave them a try.

This is by far the BEST place I have ever been to for hearing devices and testing. The staff is so sweet and always happy. Robin is AMAZING! I have been elsewhere and I can say no other place is like this. She has taken the biggest interest in me and improving my hearing and subsequently quality of life. I have been for 4 appointments and have yet to be charged . She wants all perfect first which I have never heard of in any doctors office. I cannot recommend this practice enough!
