I love to visit The Franklin Shops when I visit Ft. Myers. I have been coming for years and I always look forward to the new pieces of jewelry, clothing, and artwork on display. This is a great place to buy a unique gift or something special for yourself. Plan on spending a few hours just looking around. There are so many things to see - make sure you go upstairs as well!

The Franklin Shops always has something I must buy from the greeting cards to the artwork. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. Theyre knowledgeable about the items for sale. I recommend making it a point to stop in here and give yourself some time to look at everything.

Its an absolute everything you could want kind of store. Especially if it is for someone hard to buy for. I hot some fantastic buys theft re recently. I happened upon a SALE on Faceplant pajamas ,!!! Was I ever happy!! I found some great jewelry there also.

My wife and I were ready to purchase 700 dollars worth of items in the store but when we questioned multiple stains on a 170 dollar dress and if they had any others out back we were met with an incredibly rude attitude, and on Mother’s Day! I hope she works on commission. We walked out and spent our money down the street in a store called Enjewel. Much nicer staff and much nicer products.

This is an awesome place to shop! Ive been frequenting the Fort Myers area for quite some time and I am so glad we found this gem! They have a variety of adorable things and trinkets. I also love the fact that they have different vendors so when I am purchasing I am helping support someones small business as well. Bobbie helped me out tremendously as I wanted to purchase the last of a specific shirt that was on display. She was very friendly and made me and my husband feel welcome. 10 out of 10 on every level!

The Franklin Shops is located in a historic building that was built in 1937 for the Franklin Hardware Store. It is one of the few art deco buildings on First Street in the historic district. The front façade of the building is vitrolite, Carrara Glass which makes for the elegant store front. The hardware store stayed until the 1960s and then it became the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.Today the Franklin Shops is a two story shopping emporium offering a mix of jewelry, clothing,, art, furnishings, accessories, beauty, and gifts. There is so much to look at here and I wanted a lot of it. It is great for the shoppers because they can find a wide range of items in one place but it also benefits the retailers who can lease a space in here for less money than opening their own store.I had a wonderful time shopping here and stayed for much longer than I planned on. I actually came back later on in the evening to buy even more gifts. I was able to find two beautiful necklaces for a friend and an aunts upcoming birthday and then I purchased an initial necklace as an early birthday present for myself. I cant stop thinking of the pearl rings that looked they were in a mermaids treasure box. The salesgirls were helpful but not hovering. When you select your items you take them to a central register to purchase. They packaged everything so nicely for me, wrapping the soap in tissue paper and putting the jewelry in gossamer green string bags so I dont even have to wrap them. Love, love, love this store.

This place is so cool. I could easily spend hours here looking at all of the jewelry and art. The best part is getting to support local artists with your purchases!

I really enjoy looking thru this store. Many inspiring items and many whimsical items. Unique items as well. The staff is around but never intrusive and that quality is refreshing. Staff is friendly and courtious. Id recommend you visit this fun shop.

My absolute favorite store in Fort Myers. Jane and Kelly are super helpful. Always come here for gifts and manage to find the perfect one every time.

This is a great place to find gifts! However, on this trip, I found a gift for myself. I bought a piece of art by a local artist made from crushed/broken glass. Its really fun! The piece i bought is a Patron Tequila bottle with broken glass limes. The artist also has a margarita glass that matches the piece I bought. I will be going back for that piece.

I could have spent an hour longer in there but was concerned hubby would get too bored. Very unique retail store in downtown Ft. Myers with merchandise I have not seen in other stores. I was mostly interested in earrings and the selection is fabulous and most was on sale. The clothing was unique and fashionable. I didnt go upstairs where the home decor was. Ladies, its definitely worth a visit!

The employee by the name of Bobby / Bobbie / Bobbi does not deserve to be in retail and sales if she is going to become deeply offended by me announcing myself to check out, blame me for “jamming” the card reader, tell me to check out at the other register then tell the customers behind me “You next.” I decided to walk away and check out with someone else after that mess of an interaction.I suggest anger management or retraining to avoid the many complaints you already receive. And I hope whatever ailments are plaguing you miss, gets resolve because your negativity and rudeness is very disgusting.However, I have so many good things & photos to share about this space and product! I don’t feel compelled to share as the disgraceful customer service is the highlight of my visit.

So much wonderful things here

We moved into town from Sanibel a couple of years ago, looking forward to being so close to downtown. As a permanent year round resident of the McGregor/ Edison Park area, Franklin Shops is a favorite place for me to bring my visiting family and friends. I have my preferred booth spaces and usually go right to them, my favorite being a lapidary just up the stairs. They have really great prices on jewelry! Ive purchased from this vendor on multiple occasions, and refer people who compliment me on the pieces I wear.I had a troubling experience recently and was very pleasantly surprised with how it was handled by the shop owner! Thank you Mr. Miville!

This store is so much fun! Its two floors of wonderful local artwork to purchase and wearable goods. There are tons of nooks and crannies to browse through. Its very clean and the associates are very helpful. I love to go here to find unique gifts or see some interesting artwork. This store is a delight.

I am a man and there is basically nothing here for men be prepared to be bored. Support your woman when you are there the only good thing that will come out of it everything else is sorta cool

Abundance of nice things but I bought a dragonfly pin for $22.00 that the woman at the register stated: She makes such beautiful jewelry. Yup, found the EXACT same pin on Hobby Lobby site for. $11.99 and a slightly different color one for $5.99 on clearance. Guessing not made by a local artist. My bad I guess.

If you’re downtown this is a great place to stroll through. It offers a variety of local vendors that rent spots to sell what they have to offer. Their is a lot packed into this two story place. I do have a friend who had a spot for years and they are very hard to deal with and somewhat unfair.

Its a cool store! Its basically an art gallery thats affordable. Amazing work in there, all created by local artists and the works are an expecting mix of fun, elegant, and practical. Or even impractical if thats what you like.

The Franklin shops have alot of unique tim burton style decorations in the upstairs art section and down stairs theres a custom more regular shop and Im pretty sure that most of the things in the store are custom made. Its not for me but if you have a curious and open mind why not check it out?

Experience started out great. I was looking at buying my first piece of art from a local artists. A super friendly young woman helped us out with the price a little and we got it! BUT, when we asked the older woman with the accent about another piece from the same artist, she became incredibly rude. Told me to stop acting like Im at a used car dealership. Not only did they just lose a future customer, but the artists consigning to that store also lost business because we would never go back into that store.

On the second floor you can find Janys Beads, handmade bracelets, each bracelet is Unique. No two bracelets are made the same.

Beautiful place with many gift options for all occasions, art, different types of jewelry. And beauties in mineral stones. How quartz, lapis lazuli, etc.

I bought three beaded bracelets with various colors, I put them on and in the afternoon the paint fell off. Poor quality of the garments.They lost color with only one pose, I do not recommend it
