I came here based on a referral of a friend who had been going to Laz for many years. Laz seems like a nice guy, but is very unprofessional, slow, and does not pay attention to the customer.I lived in Australia for several years and paid taxes there. However, I know theres still an obligation to the USA. I asked Laz if he could still do this, he said yes and advised me to bring returns from Australia.He told me to come at 12pm on Tuesday 3/16, I arrived at 11:45am. There were many people waiting in reception. Laz didnt see me til shortly after 1pm. What was the point of making an appointment if walk-ins get priority and theres no actual appointment system in place?Finally, I give Laz the documents, and I explain to him that although they show the dollar $ sign that these amounts are in AUD, not USD, so would need to convert to USD at the rate at that time each year. This is very simple to do.After about an hour of sitting with Laz (now my total visit is 2+ hours wasted) he tells me he will get it all sorted by the weekend and doesnt do anything then so he could get to the other walk-ins.I never heard back from Laz, so I waited until the following week to call him. He said he had it all sorted but for me to come Saturday. I asked if I could come any earlier as I was going back overseas the following week and was trying to have everything sorted during the week days. So tells me come Thursday so I could go over everything.Now its 9 days since my initial visit. I get there to see he has done nothing. So Im sitting there as hes typing all my basic info in like name, social, address, etc. Then, he starts putting numbers for one year and tells me what I owe. However, he put amounts in USD without converting as I advised him. Clueless when I told him again when I explained these amounts are Australian Dollars. Then, he also put me as self-employed. So tax rates and everything would be different. I was trying to explain to him about FEIE, FHD, FTC, Form 2555, etc and he would not listen. He just kept saying Its only $xxx you gotta pay, you got it, dont act like you aint got it. Whether I have it or not is irrelevant. The fact is it wasnt being done properly, and there are certain exemptions in place because Ive already paid tax in Australia. After he said it the third time, and was refusing to even look into the international rules, I was too frustrated and just got up and walked out.If he didnt know how to do taxes for expats living and working overseas, he should have said so from the beginning. And, if he was at least open to learn, then he could have researched or asked a colleague and I would have been more patient. He clearly needs to stick to the most basic taxes, nothing too advanced.

The husband and wife are great but there is a guy who answers the phone and see ppl at the window that is very disrespectful and arrogant!! I guess this is why he has to answer phone since he has no business.Unfortunately I’m looking for new accountant

This is the worst accounting place ! They over charge you and they messed up my address on the taxes when i called so they can fix it the guy was rude and wanted me to solve the problem myself. Something that they messed up.

Worst place to do your taxes they did me and my husbands taxes wrong and put the wrong address they charged us 800$ and when we went to pick up the check for the return they gave it to the help next door to charge us a processing fee ! What a SCAM ! Then they put our address wrong and when called they don’t pick up one guy answered and was no help. These people are rude and they can’t even do the job your paid them to do !

I paid 300 dollars for them to do my taxes, next year i got a letter from IRS because they filled it wrong and i have to pay it all back, thanx for ruining my taxes and getting me in trouble
