This homeless shelter is strikened with too relaxed drug alcohol and violence tolerance...The violent mental health and substance abusing clients are known to the administration and staff most of the homeless abuse the system. Donations are not appropriated to the clients, staff does not share food, toletries and at the minimal gives clothing. This shelter does nothing for the disabled or has any healthy living adjenda. This shelter doesnt vet compitent work staff some should NOT 🚫🚭 be allowed to work expecially the mentally ill and cross addicted clients. The homeless count is fabricated by this slack structure, Administration treats clients like this is a incarceration because of the mental health and substance abusing clients that should be in jail or the mental health ward. These client stay should be based upon a active drug treatment program and mental health services checking medication levels. The administration is taking too much from m the county and donors in just sharing their ac, and expired food, and toiletry donations.Cant get funding from Live Wire Enterprise.

You dont have to consider yourself necessarily homeless after being here because you have all the amenities that the homeless dont have. Like on site library, gym, job coach, a bed to lay your head and 3 meals per day. Also a clothing pantry if you need clothing. This is more like a temporary home sort of speak to help you establish a new start a new home of your own after your time expires here. Id say its a blessing that a place like Broward Partnership exhist so Im grateful to have the opportunity to get off the streets and into a safe haven to better myself. This place gives you strength but not doing the right thing here can weaken you quicker than allowing the support to intervene..

This organization took over the shelter in Pompano Beach and it was for the worse.Part of the program requires you to save your money and they are to supply everything you need including food.If you work during the day your only option for breakfast and lunch is to take a bag lunch which contains a stale peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a bag of potato chips. Usually for dinner they serve raw under cooked meat. The cafeteria is infested with flies. The staff has their favorite clients and those clients can break all the rules they want to and stay as long as they want to.The dorms are supposed to be closed during the day 8am-4pm unless you have a day pass to sleep. To have a day pass you must work at night or have a medical reason to stay inside. Some people get to stay inside the dorm all day and night out of favoritism while others such as senior citizens have to sit outside in the 90 degree heat. Some clients smoke drugs and cigarettes inside the dorm bathrooms and get away with it even after being caught by staff. The air-conditioning doesnt work half of the time in which the dorms reach temperatures well over 100 degrees. The showers are usually extremely hot and unbearable to use.The laundry room only has a few working washers and dryers for 200+ people to share. If you work it can take over 4 hours to wash one load.Depending on your case manager and favoritism you can stay as long as you want with no progression or you can be discharged with no hesitation. There are a few hard working staff members that take the job seriously and actually enforce the rules and address your needs and concerns. For the most part they just play with their phones milking the clock for a check.

Paid for tickets to attend an event last night and let me tell you the worst time. I dont mind supporting a cause but let the donation be worth the cause. If youre paying $250 a ticket dont you think its worth a good dinner not an appetizer looking plate where youre left hungry still? Trust me if I could all for my money back I would and donated it differently.

Each security guard makes up their own rules. The staff for the most part are very rude and purposely annoying (example waking my family and I up at 5am and every 15 minutes after that to wake us up to be out of the facility at 7am)it was an over night stay. W over night stay you have to be out by 7am. Staff is also not helpful or welcoming. They are just doing a job and could careless about how they treat people. Its all almost degrading. The good parts are dinner, breakfast and television.

Loaded with diseases. Dont care about your belongings. They asked if I take meds. I told them what I take, then a month later I found a job, then randomly they want to take away all my meds, and kicked me out. The security guards also steal from your locker. Buying a gun and sleeping on the streets is a much better option. They also make it next to impossible for you to find a job. Dont waste time out of your life here. If you work they take away your paycheck. Ive been homeless for almost a year, and Im telling you your better off on the streets with a concealed pistol. 95% of the people here are mentally handicapped. People will steal from out of your underwear, its happened to me. DONT go here. Clothes, a water fountain, and 4$ pepper spray and never hesitate to use a weapon and you will survive.PERIOD

The program can work but you have to have the drive. The staff is okay. Its a place where I needed to be to get my ducks in order. Some will not agree with me either way but thats my insight at this time.
