Ellen is amazing. I found her about 7 months ago and I have been seeing her consistently. I have PCOS and struggle with hair on my jawline and neck. I did laser hair removal for years and never saw real results. I have seen amazing results with Ellen and hope to be done with my treatments in the next year. Firstly, I am not related to Ellen 😬After struggling for years with PCOS , Ellen helped me to feel like myself again. I have severe excessive hair growth, with damaged skin and razor bumps under my chin, upper lips, sideburns, jaw and neck. I have tried laser hair removal before and it never worked. When I found Ellen, she was so nice, informative and honest and she told me what I needed to do to rid of my facial hair.She was very thorough and provided me with the supportive and care information and she explained how long the treatment would be and the damages that my skin went through from all the tweezing for over 15 years. The price is great!!!I must say that it has not even been a month and I can feel and see the difference. She even recommended creams for numbing to make the procedure more comfortable and also after care.Her office is very welcoming, clean and she is a true gem. My experience with Ellen has been amazing! I am a 20 something year old African American woman struggling with hirsutism and started receiving electrolysis on my entire face. Since I started puberty I’ve had to tweeze my face once sometimes twice a day. After my first session with Ellen, I saw great results. She says results can vary but I was amazed at mine. Honestly. She makes you feel very comfortable, her office is clean, and she educates you about your situation and after care for the days after treatment. I have no regrets!!!

Absolutely loving my results with Ellen!! I’ve had electrolysis with 2 other professionals. The first one was not good I just didn’t know any better. I am a current client undergoing facial hair removal. Ellen uses the heat method, she is very professional & sanitary. she was even nice enough to cauterize a few pimples I have had, even after the time is up she always tries to get a few extra hairs at no additional cost. I am a black women & she is quite knowledgeable about skin care tips for black skin undergoing electrolysis, she has given me tips recommending exfoliation & using tendskin to prevent razor bumps.I have not experienced any adverse effects (burns, scabs, big wholes in pores with her) I highly recommend Ellen for your permanent hair removal needs!

Ellen is very friendly and made me feel at ease for my first electrolysis appointments. You can see that shes passionate about her work. This is an excellent place to go to if youre transgender, youll feel very welcome. Since Im travelling, I went to another salon a couple of weeks later ; at the other salon I got redness that lasted for a few days despite not feeling much plucking, but at Flash Electrolysis I only had a mild redness that lasted for about 36 hours, even though the sessions were several hours long and even though I did feel some amount of plucking (I have big bulbs, apparently).

I want to start off by saying I had my electrolysis session performed last week and wanted to try out another electrologist before writing an honest review. I have never had Electrology done before and felt it was necessary to compare my experiences. I found a Groupon that would give me an hour of electrolysis with Ellen for 99 dollars. From before the initial meeting, I was supposed to receive a text message the day before. I received a text message the morning of (I overlooked that). When I met Ellen, her initial concern was the Groupon (another red flag). The next red flag occurred right before the session started. She showed me her fancy machine (Apilus) and showed me the probe but failed to address which method she would be utilizing on me. I have Indian decent so my hair is naturally very thick. The next red flag occurred during the session. EACH HAIR (literally) she removed was plucked. She knew this because she turned up the power but instead of trying another method, she continued to pluck out every single hair and then had the audacity to tell me that her services would be 130 dollars per session (go figure). I assumed she was using thermolysis, which from my research, does not work well with distorted roots (plucking). The lady I went to today (Debra), whom might I say was PHENOMENAL, knew from before she even started that I would need the blend method and here is the catch, I FELT NO HAIRS PLUCKED! I did not feel not one hair removed. Ellen informed me that typically you dont feel the hair being removed but because my bulbs were so big, I would feel a tug. Within a few days, I felt hairs coming back (which were probably broken off). She did a terrible job and I sincerely wish I saved that money for the lady I am seeing now. I am all for giving people a chance, but I respect honesty and transparency which is why my review is so long and passionate. Ellen cheated me. Maybe others may have a different experience but as for me, I will drive miles even catch a plane to find someone who cares about their client before coming back to this place. I advise anyone to make sure you do your research about this procedure before committing to someone. After today with Debra, my faith has been restored in electrolysis. Thanks for showing me how electrolysis should not be done Ellen. - Jamie
