They were very unhelpful with me with my problem. I was surprised. They told me that I had to call the 800 number. Yet when you called the 800 number you cant get a hold of a live person and also the phone hangs up on you because it says the phone lines are too busy. How are you supposed to accomplish anything if they cant answer your questions. Im owed $375 from these guys and something tells me that Im never going to see it

I did the summer program this year. Horrible experience, they have bad communication, they never answer their phone and horrible with paychecks. Very unorganized I do not recommend…!

If I could give a Zero I would. I walked in after being referred by a friend. Im supposed to sent a link to complete my Pandemic Unemployment Application. The person who began to help me,left me for about 25 minutes while others walked in. The person covering the desk kept dekegating to the the others 2 employees while she didnt seem to care many were walking in for the 2 staff members already helping others. I held up my hand to ask for help, to only find out I had to get back on the phone with Unemployment because she couldnt and didnt know how to help me further. She gave me a paper with the same numbers Ive been calling and email addresses that dont work.Not sure if it was just a bad day but usually staff performs and acts according to their upper in command.

I went there to print some paperwork I need to email 📧 to a job I just got before I start training next week. I was told at the door it was a 2 hour wait for a computer 🖥. Then I might not get a computer even if I wait for 2 hours. 🤔

Career Source Broward (South) is a great place to help people look for a job. Take advantage of the labs that they offer and the courses that are for available each week. My first time was taking a course was the resume class and boy do I tell you I had to revise my resume. With the updates on my resume I was able to find a job in less than seven days. People please take advantage of the great opportunity within this organization. No matter if your Entry Level or Professional Career Source has something to offer to you!!!

I visited this office yesterday for the purposes of printing some documents necessary for obtaining a 31 day bus pass. For Job seeking. Unfortunately I was unaware of the dress code(business casual), and after explaining that I spent 2 hours walking there, was turned away. At 4 in the afternoon with 10 people in the place. Very Job oriented and supportive. Thanks

This place has many helpful people who help with finding job, assist on getting a career. They also offer resume and interview workshop. If youre planning on going there, dont forget to dress professionally.

Its very beneficial for low-income families. I always work with them through the Department of Children & Families because I have to comply with the rules of receiving public assistance. You receive a lot more help if you receive cash/food assistance vs. trying to get help without public assistance. But unless you take advantage of their workshops and other job training opportunities that they do offer its going to feel like a waste of time for most people. This is a process where you must have A LOT of patience. They really help you become self sufficient you just have to do your part as well.

Mostly nice people to give you hope when you get laid off and are looking for work. There are a few people that dont want to be there. I never found any good job prospects but they might be a good place to start.

This place did nothing to assist me in finding a job. I spoke with Gale Joseph, and never have I dealt with someone more discouraging and unhelpful. Its incredible that she gets to collect a paycheck and do nothing worthwhile. I asked her how I could get more experience, and she said to go back to school. Wow. Another degree is going to constitute on-the-job experience? What an idiot. Dont waste your time.

You may be required to go there to qualify for unemployment. Unfortunately, the information they provide is inaccurate and outdated. Their big deal is to go to professional mixers and meet people to sell yourself to them in hopes that hey will be able to connect you with someone who can help your career. Problem is if you arent a salesperson personality in the first place this is by and large a complete waste of time. Everything else they do is simple bureaucratic paper pushing. The job search functionality of their site is all hinged on the seeker being able to understand how their system works and the person you will initially meet will set up a little bit of it and most likely do it inaccurately. This puts the job seeker in the position of not understanding how to use the tool and needing to remove the incorrect data and then figure out how to put the correct information in the correct areas. Perform the wrong step in the wrong sequence and boom everything you just did is gone and you have to start over because all the skills you put in along with strengths are suddenly gone and other nonsense is put in its place. Submit an application and they most likely will say you dont meet the qualifications no matter what. Try to reach out to someone and your email will go to the electronic version of a black hole with the excuse oh we didnt get it. Yes its your tax dollars at work.

This center is totally disrespectful they do not treat your time as a value go to another location they took almost all day to give me a success coach. They just tell you “we are going as fast as we can” to push you aside. I am typing this while still waiting on a success coach.

This place is a WASTE OF TIME! Avoid it at all costs. Just fill out the paperwork, sit in for your 1 mandatory workshop to get your unemployment benefits and NEVER RETURN! This is an enormous waste of state money that doesnt provide any benefit to anyone except its own employees.

The purpose of this complaint is to express the distress I experienced earlier today with the caseworker assigned to me named Melody Comrie-Picou. This individual belligerently told me she wasn’t going to see me until I had formal shoes. She yelled at me in front of many other people. She belittled me and reduce to nothing. I suddenly felt as if I was 6 years old when I am a full-fledged 36 years old educated woman. There was no need for her to disrespect me like that.On the same note, I understand there are rules that cannot be bend for the sake of a few. Besides, I wasn’t really asking for her to favor me in any way shape or form. It’s just the principle. It certainly was such a disservice to talked-down to me like that. She could have conveyed the same message without the need to denigrate me. I couldn’t fathom her disgraceful tone.Ms. Picou had the audacity to verbatim say: “We did not seek for you. You seek our services and therefore you have to submit to the wardrobe rules of this department. I’ve seen 15 people today and currently attending one in my office. I don’t have time for people who don’t follow the rules” Again, I wasn’t seeking to be an exception to the rule. This woman would not allow me to form a full sentence. I could not get my message across. I wasn’t cognizant about the back-strap clause for open shoes. I was flabbergasted by how my open shoes triggered her sociopath traits. Her last remark was: “If you’re not back before 4:45 PM with acceptable shoes, I won’t see you and walked out.” At the end of all this drama, by 4:25 PM I made it back to her chambers and thanks to the Almighty Jesus, there was a mature caseworker who mediated the short meeting with bigoted Melody Comrie- Picou.Finally, I just want to set the record straight, I am not a beach bum. I was laid-off from Miami Dade County where I worked for two years as bailiff. Since judges are on the bench in county court for two years unless they get re-elected, my judge did not make it for a second term, therefore, neither did I. I have a Bachelors in Supervision & Management, an Associates of Arts in Pre-Law and an Associates of Science in Criminal Justice. I am also enrolled in my first year of law school at FIU. The point I want to make is that I don’t live off the system as she made me feel. I am actively seeking a new job opportunity. High-end jobs are very selective. I don’t know what kind of people Ms. Picou is used to talks down like that. I am of the mentality that whether the person is an engineer or a cashier at Lucky Supermarket, everyone and their mothers deserve respect because you don’t know the hurdles that people face daily. Everyone that knocks on the food stamp door deserves to be treated with dignity.

Wouldnt ever drop off at Lifesource again.We arrived 1hour and 30 minutes before closing and the rep said he decided to shut down the Budget Side early today, yet he served as both the Lifesource and Budget reps. He would accept Lifesource customers but not Budget!Wow!!!!What kind of business is this hes running?

Ill start off by saying This, The resource room employees who are on the floor helping Job seekers are always pleasant and very helpful. The front desk Receptionist the usual two thats always up there are always unpleasant and rude everyday. Im convinced these people hate their jobs. They dont greet their guest that comes in. They just sit up there and be rude they act more like security guards than front desk receptionist. Theyre so strict on dress code that they even turn parents who are dressed properly home because their infants arent following their Dress code of conduct which is insane. They have so much different resources here and the people who usually comes here for welfare assistance are turned around because of their strict dress code that applies to even children as if the children come here for assistance. The welfare transition department receptionist Are Rude, Straight forward and ghetto. Some of the success coaches upstairs are very people friendly and helpful but thats probably 5% of the whole building. But the first Impression is horrible. Even the Manager here is Rude he walks around the building like a guard dog. I supposed thats why everyone here lacks in customer service etiquette. The dress code of conduct system here is definitely broken and need to be fixed. And they need to replace some of the most important employees here. Starting with the manager and the receptionist. If it had not been for the help your self, Computer room and resources, assistance provided to the public. Id never come here especially not for their crappy customer service. The only good thing here is the resources that career source provides other than that the employees make you feel like a inmate at a county jail. I had to rate them or else I wouldnt be able to make this review. That is the reason for 1 star Good Luck on your job search needs.

Great staff that really want to help you find work.

This program does not work. Im a veteran and have been going there for help to find a job and all of it is just paper work and the make you go through loops and holes to try to get a job. I dont like how they erase your information every 4-6 months then you have to start all over again its makes the hurdle difficult when your trying to get help. I was trying to get a certificate and every time i go there they want me to fill in the same packet over and over. Its just ridiculous that they get funding from people to help citizens but yet they make it so difficult to get help. Is it because they want more people coming back in everyday to sign in so they can get more funding?

They treat you like a beggar. I went to apply and the front lady told me that orientation was 8:30am Tuesday. When I expressed how inconvenient given my working schedule that date was, she looked at me whit despise and told me that I had not choice...
