It is the worst rental car company. Even after your own insurance or purchase insurance from other company, they make you purchase their own insurance. Absolutely garbage rental company. Don’t fall in trap by cheap prices of car. Eventually, they add around $50 for cheapest car they have. SCAMMERS.To owner Reply,Lady on desk told me you must buy liability insurance it’s Florida law and I didn’t ask for road side assistance. Why did she charge me that? You said that’s optional. In addition, i had my own full insurance, she said i have to charge $7.99 to transfer your insurance. Overall, she wanted to charge me extra and that what she did. Now, you like that was optional. Absolute worst car rental company I have ever dealt with. At the Rental Center their driver said it didnt go to their location, took me oven an hour to get picked up again. Once there, they wanted to charge $350 for a rental that should have been under $200. Customer Service is non existing. Wasted more then three hours of my trip because of them. We finally had to go back to Airport, book a last minute car at much higher price than we planned for. ACE car rental, though was courteous and located at the airport. Was happy to give them my business.

Absolutely positively the worst rental car company I have ever ever ever utilized. Don’t walk, but run away from this place. Rent from Hertz, Dollar, Turo, your exes baby mama..anyone but them. It’s a miserable and confusing experience that will ruin the beginning and the end of your trip. Everything from pick up which took over an hour from the airport, issues with using your own insurance, late fees, surcharges, down to the time you drop off the car and they charge even more fees. The ENTIRE experience was absolutely horrific. DONT DO IT!!! It’s too late for me….Save yourself!

This place is a joke. Don’t use them for any reason. They jack up my price after I showed the receipt of the price I was told to pay. They are not at the airport as stated and the shuttle took forever. When we finally get to the location, we were told we had to have extra forms about our insurance. We had insurance area but they wanted a detailed paper for all coverages including deductible and coverage amounts. They don’t care about the customer. I never leave a bad review but I left this place livid. They wanted to charge more and more fees on top of what I was quoted by Priceline. BEWARE please

Every last review is correct. I booked through priceline. Was quoted $100 for 4 days. I knew that wasnt including a deposit but when I finally got to the rental place from the airport, I was told my total was $477. My insurance had to show $500k coverage, I was charged extra because it wasnt. Ive rented plenty of cars before and have never had to show let alone be charged for using my own insurance. Every customer in front of me was frustrated and left with no rental, same as I. This place should not be in business. Do not book through here!!

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING A CAR!They have learned just to surcharge you. We booked the car for $112, but it came out over $300 at the end!!!1. They did not accept our car insurance which covers the rental. +$1002. They took photo of us like spies and then said we have seen another person have been driving the car, so guess what? +$603. For dropping the car the garage was full and we asked where should we drop? They said that is fine to park out of the gate.... Right, then they charged extra $80 for dropping the cat at a location other than the pick up!!!Other issues:1. They say they have shuttl to the airport every few minutes. Dont trust them! After 30 minutes waiting, we took Uber to the airport.2. The car was stinky.3. Our pick up was 10am, but they asked us for a waiting list... no one was there! Absolutely worst rental experience ever.Reservaton stated in terminal. Ended up being 2 shuttles.Counter is hot, no AC. Waited 45 mins for the 3 people in front of me....Staff is rude. Half a dozen hidden charges never disclosed on reservation. The only star is for the shuttle driver!. Thank you.

This company practices an insurance scam. They made up a random rule We dont allow you to use two insurance policies. In my case - my car insurance for liability and my Capital One Venture VISA for CDW.It was good enough for 30+ rentals all over the world, and plenty in Ft. Lauderdale.Cant really argue with that - its company policy, so $90 extra for 4 days.Do I have adequate coverage? Yes.Is it ethical? No.

My 26 daughter rented a car and went to pay with a debit card with her name on it rather than a credit card. They would not let her pay with a debit card and sent her to a different rental car place. What bunch on amateurs.. dont rent from Routes thru Kayak..

This place is a SCAM. Absolute worst. My quote online was $175 ended up paying $500+ for my reservation. They add all these hidden fees when you go to pick up the car. Raul the manager is Scam artist, LIAR and a joke. I spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service and they assured me the rate would be $35 a day for 4 days. So how did I pay $500?Go elsewhere. These people are terrible people with no morals

If I could give this zero stars I would! Not the car we reserved, the car was wrecked and had to sit outside for 30 minutes waiting, very rude workers!

I don’t know why the government allows this place to scam the public. The most stressful thing I’ve been through in a very long time. Every last customer left mad... some even in tears. My experience would take 3 pages to properly detail this disaster. When we returned the car the police had to be called because another customer lost his cool (as he should have). You’ll pay triple the amount but they advertise less then half of all the other rental car companies. You are nickeled and dimed and charged outrageous fees. We were quoted $400 and paid almost $1,000 for a Honda for 6 days. Had we not be desperate and had not waited in line for 2 hours I would have went back to the airport. Don’t get me started on the employees. They are so use to upsetting people they just look at you. They know it’s wrong and unfair. No explanations, no trying to help or make you happy. Save your sanity and go to Enterprise or literally any other place but here.

They will offer you their own expensive insurance. Sunpass for car which is offered for $19.99 unlimited for the days you have the vehicle is not the case. You will be charged per day which means that is going to be 60 dollars.DO NOT SIGN THE AGREEMENT UNTIL YOU READ IT !!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR RENTAL PLACE!!!!!!!! the worst customer service, they do not help you AT ALL. We did not know we needed to provide insurance since it was never listed in the directions. We needed roadside assistance and THEY GOT BACK TO US 3 HOURS LATER. We dropped the car off as scheduled and they are trying to charge us for a scratch that was ALREADY on the car. They tried showing us pictures from the previous renters and no pictures were pointed to the DIRECT spot of the scratch. PAY THE MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!

This place is terrible. They convieniently lost our priceline reservation and then of course wont honor the original price. The reviews are true. We are waiting for a Uber to go to another rental company...gladly will pay ANY other company more. Would highly suggest skipping this place. They suck! You can book online with Amex card, but cant use it to rent the car, dont try calling cuz you just sit there on hold and then hung up on without talking to anyone. Doesnt matter how you navigate the phone system, you WILL NOT talk to anyone, just get hung up on. Husband cant even figure out how to best drop the car off cuz nobody will answer a phone. Might seem like a good deal, but go somewhere else and pay the extra.

This was the worst car rental experience Ive ever had in my life. PLEASE save yourself the trouble. They charged double the price I booked. The charged extra for insurance , even after I explained that I had insurance. The shuttle took an hour and a half . The car smelled like urine. I caution anyone who rents from these people.

Please, avoid this company at all costs. We took the shuttle to the car rental place and once you are there, you need to call them and they will send their own shuttle to pick you up. We got there, called them several times, was never able to speak with anyone and their shuttle never showed up. Luckily, we were waiting by the car rental area at the airport and were able to get a car from hertz for about the same amount of money. Pay the extra $5/day and go with a reliable, well know rental company.

Don’t buy from them. They made us wait 2 hours. One man show. They didn’t have car ready and they started cleaning after the contract. Very unprofessional and don’t go buy cheap rates.

They dont tell you that if youre a Florida resident you only get 50 miles per day, unless you pay an upcharge.

What a good place to rent a car outside the airport. Friendly people and and explains adequately. It offers you all the possible options and when you have a problem they help you. I take into account that they are outside the airport, so consider that when picking up and returning the vehicle.

Very bad. Book if you have an hour to wait in the queue. After the long wait i was told they dont take Amex cards. My booking was done through expedia and rental company says amex is ok for booking but not for rental. Very bad customer service and courtesy.

NEVER USE THIS PLACE i wouldnt even give them a star but had to to comment. I should have read more reviews before using them i was charged tons of extra fees ontop of the car rental. They were not organized at all they were an our late picking us up from airport and we had to call tons of times to even get through to tell them we had been waiting there forever. Now Im fighting to get my deposit back in which they claim it should be there already well its not. Never again lesson learned!

DO NOT ! I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. SHUTTLE DOES NOT RUN ON SCHEDULE, there is no way to contact anyone about this company. They tried to say I needed 300,000$ worth of coverage to be able to use my own insurance. After arguing about that , the man stated I could use their coverage for 29$ a day. He wrote it on a post it note, online it says 11.99$ ! I questioned where he got this price from and he yelled at me, he canceled our rental. Pay the extra money somewhere else !

So from the moment we arrived until we dropped off the vehicle to go home this was a bad experience with this company. The phone number to call and get picked up goes to voicemail and you can not get to a real person. When we finally got someone to pick us up and take us to the rental center we had sat around for some time. When renting the vehicle we had an issue with them accepting our insurance. We had to put a $1000 deposit hold on a credit card to be able to rent the vehicle even though I had full coverage through State Farm. The person at the counter did not explain or give us any paperwork. He told me I was signing for the rental but after looking at the paperwork that I got in an email later he had put my signature on items that I was never told about. To be specific he had me sign for a toll refusal which was never explained. We went through a few tolls and I got off to pay with cash and they told me that I did not need pay because we had the pass in the vehicle. I was charged $205 at over $25 per toll spot by the rental company. When I called I got no help and was hung up on telling me that they did not care. Not a good company to rent from and you would be much further ahead by going to a major rental company that is much closer to the airport.

Do not rent from these people!! We waited over an hour for the shuttle, it never showed. We called the number several times to see when they were coming but never answered, then we finally got through to a recording and told us the shuttle will be there every 15 minutes. I asked every bus and shuttle if they were affiliated with routes and they all said no. So after over an hour we took a taxi which cost us $30. Whe. We got there , we saw one of the shuttles that I asked ( called next car) there. The people in front of us had the same problem the worker canceled there reservation because they didnt get there on time. When we asked for a reimbursement for our cab fare the guy got angry and told us no. He charged us an additional $15 for using a debit card and when questioned it he got mad and canceled our reservation. So the older couple in front of us didnt have a car rental and neither did we. We tried asking the owner to remedy the situation and he accused us of yelling at him. I seriously dont know how this place stays in business. These people are aweful!! Thsnk goodness for urber!! I will definitely use a reputable car rental next time. you get what you pay for

So let’s start by saying my family and I Arrive at the Fort Lauderdale international airport and call the phone number given in the instructions by Routes for what to do when we arrive. We get a recording that say That clearly marked shuttle bus will be by every 15 minutes. After 25 minutes of waiting called the number back I went through the automated system before finally getting to talk to somebody the gentlemen on the phone said he would send someone.so now we have been waiting 35 minutes by the time I got off the phone and It took 10 minutes For the driver to show up to pick us up not a nice shuttle bus but a minivan that wasn’t marked very clearly. We get to the car rental facility start the checkout process and the price is different than what my reservation shows they said it was fees that they can’t take off. They know they Got you between a rock and a hard spot miles from the airport once you’re there at the counter. The Shuttle drivers were both super friendly the counter guy was friendly but hard to understand. The car had a faint smell of smoke and Center consul look to be full of ashes but over all the car seemed to be in good condition everything worked got great fuel mileage. I would have gave this place a 3.5 - 4.0 star review until they changed the price of the rental. To be honest we would have just got a car at the airport if they had disclosed the extra fees at booking. We didn’t save anything and lost a lot of time waiting to be picked up and taken back to the airport

INSURANCE was more than the rental. KEEP READING. Ok so when I saw this deal online I was like what that’s a steal because it was 3 days for $102. Other places were $200. Lol being a penny pincher here definitely backfired. If you do not purchase their car insurance, you need to show them a declaration page which has to have a coverage of 300k or more! Also they only accept certain insurance companies so be careful. My rental was $22 a day and the insurance was $32 a day. With like 5 different fees and insurance my total went from $102 to $277. Oh and they’re off site. You get a shuttle to the rental place in the Airport and then have to wait another almost 30 mins for another shuttle that only fits like 5 people. Price was too good to be true and it was. At the airport I would’ve have paid with everything $200! They guy helping me kept trying to talk English even though I knew Spanish and was talking to him in Spanish which led to a lot of miscommunication and he got my email wrong and sent my receipt to who knows who. Just do you research and always read reviews, I made that mistake and had to literally pay for it. NOT GOOD!

The other reviews are negative for a reason.First of all you need to take a shuttle to the car rental garage and because this company is so micky mouse you need to take a second shuttle to them. Be prepared to wait. And wait. and wait. The shuttle driver was actually a nice guy. But once you get to there office is game over. They will add fees. They will be rude. The cars all looks old and unsafe. Not worth the risk. I headed right back to the airport and got an amazing car with great service from avis.

We has to wait for 45 min before shuttle show up. When we get to the car rental has to wait another 1-2 hours, the works super slow. So many people walk out of this place b/c they told everyone to get their insurance which $150 a day include sunpass. Think twice before you rent a car from this place

Their shuttle buses run whenever they want . The shuttle bus driver is also the ticket counter agent who was not friendly my rate for a midsize car was 25.00 after insurance and taxes they charged me 94.00 for 1 day he gave me a receipt that only showed what I paid I asked him to email a breakdown of my bill which he never sent I tried calling customer service who are impossible to reach I have to catch a plane early in the morning I’ll be dropping the car off before they open to catch my flight I hope they don’t try n charge me any additional fees I would not be renting from this place again

I came to ft Lauderdale the shuttles the bus stop was over crowded. I waited for the routes bus for 2 hrs never showed. I caught an Uber there and it was closed early.

1/10 I wouldn’t recommend.The shuttle took half an hour to get to the airport and when we got to the car rental they told me that the car I had reserved was given to someone else because I was “late” which I had no control over because I was waiting on the shuttle. Now I’m standing outside with like 15 other customers with no car. So unorganized and unprofessional.

Scam, they bring you in with a nice website and lowPrices, then the games Scam begins, they ask yourepeatedly about using their car insurance, $13 a day, after you say No, they ask you about tolls, $another $14, a day ( most tolls in Florida are under 2 dollars)after you say No to that, they ask you about Collision,accident protection through them, another $15 a day, so your once cheap car rental adds up, is no longer cheap, now the fun begins, they ask for your CC for a deposit, OK, I can see that, then they say your card was Denied, really I just used it 15 mins, ago, so I gave another CC, also they claimed denied, so then you use your debit card, which was not Denied, but you have to pay an additional $15 a day for using a debit, consider yourself forewarned, stay with the name brands, it the long run, they are cheaper and less headaches....you get what you paid for,,STAY AWAY!!!!
