Quiet hidden little gem 💎! Very helpful attentive service staff. The room is spacious and CLEAN. Breakfast was a great surprise since Covid a lot of places have stopped offering hot breakfast and with the price I wasn’t expecting much. I was so happy to have free waffles, sausage, and eggs. Laundry room is convenient and there’s an airport shuttle every hour. Great place for the price!

A a cute gift shop with souvenirs and extras you might have forgotten. Pleasant staff. Negative: Sometimes hard to get a room, are frequently entirely booked so book early.

DO NOT PREPAY FOR YOUR STAY!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU DONT STAY!!!!!I booked a 3-Night stay at this hotel and prepared for my stay. That was the worst decision! When I went to check in they said my room wasnt ready and that they would call me when it was ready. I never got the call so I called then at around 4 pm and my room still wasnt ready. I ended up staying with a friend and when back the next day. It took about 2 hours to get a room. I decided to only spend one night so I checked out the next morning and was told guest services would contact me to refund my money for the nights I didnt stay. I asked for a receipt that showed I only stayed one night and was told the only receipt they could give me was the one where I prepared and couldnt give me anything else but a note was put in the system to show I was only there for one night and guest services would take care of the refund. That never happened! I called and left multiple messages with guest services and the hotel but never could get anyone to resolve my issue. I even drove down to the hotel and couldnt get any help. The guest service person I talked to was very rude and yelled at me saying I would have to file a fraud complaint. It was the craziest experience Ive ever had at a hotel! I would absolutely never stay at this place again. I call my credit card company to dispute the charges and was told that because I waited over 60 days from when the charge was placed on my credit card that I couldnt dispute it. I had paid over 30 days in advance and have been trying to get this resolved for over a month! Lesson #2, know how long you have to dispute a charge with your credit card company! Lesson #3, give the merchant no more than 72 hours to resolve an issue before you escalate it to the next level do not trust that they care about providing good customer service! Ive learned a couple of lessons from this experience so maybe my future good decisions will be worth the cost of my experience with Rodeway Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port Hotel!Update 7/15/2021: Please look at other negative reviews where the owner responds!!! The original room I was in was disgusting. I simply asked for supplies to clean the room myself and was switched to a new room. The room looked rushed over as well and ac unit flooded the first night. We had to get it repaired just for it to stop working by morning. Their complimentary breakfast everyday had reused old food from days prior. The only thing safe to eat was a waffle. I wouldn’t rate this anymore than 1 star.

We showed up late (11pm) and they got us a good deal on a room very quickly and nicely. The shuttle to the port was nice but showed up a little late. The breakfast area wasn’t the nicest but they had decent options

They charge a daily cleaning fee but the room is cleaned only after a guest checks out. I dont get the point of being charged the fee for the number of days of stay.They promise free breakfast but randomly decide to not offer it on some mornings without any notice. What an unpleasant surprise!They do not clean the pool and you may find bird droppings in it.

We stayed here when our reservation at another hotel was canceled. This place saved us when we had no where else to stay. The staff was amazing and accommodating! Izzy and Ruslan were the best help to us during our stay and made sure we were taken care of and after hearing about our bad experience at the other hotel gave us free wine and comfort in an unfamiliar place. We travel consistently for work and this was the best experience of hospitality weve ever had. Highly recommend this clean inn!

Oscar is amazing. He went above and beyond for my brother who was visiting from California. Very patient and understanding. He helped me with my reservation AND when my brother was going to miss his flight at 5am the next morning he did a courtesy knock to wake him up! He’s perfect for this type of job.

Ive stayed at this location multuple times and never had a problem but this last time had me very upset. I booked a double queen room for me, my husband, and our 3 year old boy, after getting in the room we realized the floor was completely disgusting, there was a smoked joint sitting on out window ledge, there was super old food from previous guests on top of the microwave and when we picked up to throw it away there was two small baggies with white powder resedue under the old food. From working at hotels i understand things happen but having my child in a room that we kept finding drugs in was very dissapointing and gross

Stayed here for a layover. Unfortunately got there too late to enjoy the Marina 84 spot. They renovated the rooms but use very old window treatments and the bed skirt was disgusting. I woke in the middle of the night to get a drink of water and a few roaches scattered when I turned on the light. Note to owner: get an exterminator for room 3227.

The door came off the hinges within one hour of checking in and had to wait outside for maintenance to fix it. fire alarm went off in the whole place for twn minutes for absolutely no reason, the second bed is falling apart and almost disassembled itself upon sitting on it the first time (I weigh 195 pounds). Left key in room, go to front desk to have new one made and the line is so long because they have 2 people managing a hotel with 200+ tenants, so I call corporate and told someone one bring me a key and call me, no key no call, go to front desk and DEMAND a new key, took 2 seconds. Wirst place to stay in FL STAY AWAY

Parking is free for your stay but lot is always full. Rooms are spacious and I have had uninvited guest the four occasions I stayed there. Front desk is slow because its under staffed. Management has a strict mask rule that they dont follow themselves. Its kid friend

Negative: The fire alarm went off at one point. Its no fault of theirs but it was the most annoying sounding alarm I have ever heard. Also, the door to the room would not lock unless fussed with.

Great hotel. I would definitely return. But make sure you make reservations exactly. The staff isnt helpful when you dont. Me & my wife were stuck outside our 1st night in town (4 hours or so). Which wasnt to bad they have a bar/restaurant next to them. So we filled about an hour or so til they closed down.

Nicer than I expected. Spacious rooms . Clean. Comfortable beds. The shower sucks, and I could hear a lot of noise outside my room in the hallways .. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. I needed a hotel with early check in and this was the only place I could find . They also have a gift shop for convenience and it’s close to a lot of stores and fast food restaurants .

If I could give this place a negative review I would. We booked 1 night online. After looking for a hotel with large vehicle parking. We found this place as well as several others nearby. We get to the hotel aftera long day of traveling. I gotto check in which is a 45 min process for a prepaid reservation just to be told there was an additional fee for my wifes service animal as well as an additional fee to park. No mention of this prior to checking in. No signage stating we charge guest to park. We have stayed in hotels in just about every state across the country and have never been charged to park. And we have never had to pay for my wifes service dog. Rachel the Manager finally waived the fee for parking and agreed not to charge a pet fee for my wifes service dog but not until a long heated conversation. So much for a relaxing evening. Bed and pillows were hard, house keeping definitely not the best, furniture damaged and dated. Definitely not worth the premium they charge.This morning the vice president of hospitality Izzy Fritz called and apologized for the treatment we received last night. And offered a 25% discount on our next stay and asked me to change my review. He was a very pleasant person. Izzy is only reason I bumped this rating 1 star. Just because a service dog is dual purpose doesnt mean its not a service dog. If a couple is traveling with a service dog the very presence of the service dog is going to relieve anxiety. It is none of any establishments business what purpose the service animal.

The complex has a weird smell in the corridor. The fan has full of dust on it. The bathroom door is built weird, Not at all comfortable. And also, the bathroom door lock was not working. Full of noise from the room beside, couldn’t sleep. Overall, our experience was horrible

Only stay here as a last resort. This hotel is disgusting. The rooms smells like urine and mattress had a ripped cheap cover. It was really uncomfortable to sleep with on. And to top it off there was detection of bedbugs on the mattress. We had to burned our clothes just in case. Never again would I book this place. I regret it soo much

Customer service is not up to par. The 2nd guy behind the 3rd register had an attitude that shows he dont want to be at work. He need to be reminded he is in a customer service position. Got to the hotel at 12pm and my room wasnt ready till after 6pm. People who came few hours after me got their room right away. Gift shop is closed majority of the time as well. My wife and I had a long layover at the airport and were grateful to stay at Rodeway in for the day. Great price, pool, clean, good restaurant and every single person was so genuinely friendly.

Negative: The location was not great and there is a nightclub/bar attached which was both noisy and included drunken patrons. The hotel itself is a very old two-story building not updated.

For a 2/3 star hotel the stay is super comfy.. Dont let the outside fool you.. Rooms are super clean and comfy.. staff is helpful. NOT A 5 star hotel but def not a dingy motel.. I go here for time to myself and will continue to be a regular patron

The manager of this hotel is extremely rude. One of my employees was traveling using a company credit card. They refused to allow his to use the card even with a letter (on our letterhead) saying he was an authorized user, We had to book through another avenue. I called last week to request a refund of the charge (we were charged twice for one night) and was told I had to speak to the manager, left her a message and she never returned my call. I had to call back today she interrupted me several times and I finally had to ask her to stop interrupting me. Bottom line she told me my employee was a no-show and that why we were charged I explained to her he was not as we were charged for a room on the same night. I asked for a refund and she refused telling me she would give us a credit for a future stay within 2 years, not what I requested. Finally after arguing with her for several minutes and having to threaten to call and dispute the charge she agreed to refund me my money we will see if she does. For a manager she was extremely rude!

This hotel contains bedbugs! Do not stay here at all costs. There is a courtyard by Marriott less than 10 minutes away for similar pricing. This is the last hotel anyone should stay at.

Upon checking in I was welcomed by a warm smile, easy check in, nice and polite staff working the front office they make you feel very welcomed. Walking into my room it smelled so fresh and clean! Beds are super soft plenty of fluffy pillows and the bathroom was stocked with extra towels. You can tell the cleaning staff does a thorough job. I did take a dip in the pool (it is heated by the way) was so refreshing on such a hot day! They also have a restaurant/bar in the front of the hotel, I had dinner there and shockingly food was amazing! Great prices and drinks are made perfectly good job bar tenders! Over all experience exceeded my expectations definitely don’t judge a book by its cover with this Hotel!

Booked through expedia got bamboozled into transferring to their sister hotel which had bugs all in the shower not 1 or 2 atleast 2inch thickness around drain and along backside of shower. They did change our room after asking to but my son refused to sleep in the bed we both felt uncomfortable so next day called Rodeway to express my concerns, Rachel lacking empathy stated maam its S.FL bugs come thru the window as if that was ok the amount of bugs that was in there, & then only offered 1 night(booked 3 stayed 1) & deposit refunded. Then thru some communication or lack there of she was told I checked out when I went to get rental then she offered a refund of 2nights & deposit to get my stuff out of room. That was the 5/14/21 still no refund sent to expedia bad business!! Dont go to sister hotel if offered

I was actually surprised for a Rodeway Inn! It was clean, cute courtyard with fake animals & benches for kids to crawl on. Pool was clean. Nice restaurant & bar also. Had a giftshop too!

Decided to stay here for a few days the owner was nice at first. But the second day we were there they had to switch out one of the mattress due to it being nasty with blood stains and all. He did end up switching it with a new mattress but the next day we ended up getting bedbugs in two of the rooms.We have all the the paper work to prove it from the hospital but yet the owner was quick to call us a frauds and scammers.At some point they even called the Broward sheriff.This was the worst place to stay.

Anyone using their service for airport or cruise parking may be mislead that the hotel covers shuttle to/from your airport/cruise. They did not have a shuttle; in lieu of the advertised shuttle, they paid for my $7 uber to the airport but refused to provide an uber/taxi back to the hotel (as promised by their post on way.com). The cost was $30.

The first room I was given smelled like urine and cigarettes. The second room I requested for room service no one ever showed, the lamp in my room did not work I reported the issue to front desk, I was told there is nothing they can do. I was afraid to get out my car several times because there are drug dealers a homeless people hanging all around the stair and hallway. I will never stay there there ever again and they need to hire a security gard

This place is basically one of those hotels that was really hip and amazing during the 70s and the owners did not change with the times. They did change the prices though.Positives first: Most of the employees are friendly. The woman who checked us out was nice and fast. The people running the breakfast were very helpful and kept things clean.The best one though, hands down, is a man working at the check in counter named Ruslan! Ruslan is an amazing Ukrainian man who can answer all questions, is super nice, handsome, and very helpful. If the Soviet Union sent amazing employees like Ruslan to the US we would be speaking some version of Russian right now.They have a pool and a well decorated mid section.The breakfast bar has a waffle maker so yay.Negatives:The hotel is definitely sub par for its price. We paid 120 a night and could have gotten the same from a Motel 8 that is only 60 a night.The room had GUM stuck on the floor, the decor was drab, there was only one light in the main room, and the TV was small.If you like looking at parking lots, then the view is perfect.The Aircon was always fluctuating making it too hot or too cold!This cheap place only gave 1 bar soap and 1 hair shampoo, not even conditioner... there were 2 of us.We had a queen size bed which I literally measured and it came out smaller than a standard queen size.The bathroom didnt really close off all the way so there was no privacy.During check in the manager approached us and started pushing upgrades and slowed down the check in process so much. We just wanted to get to the room. Also, it was kind of weird because he was dressed so casually we thought it was just some random guy trying to talk to us. Literally a big man with a goatee wearing shorts, a T-shirt, and some kind of beach over shirt. Oh and completely maskless. If you want your employees to wear a mask and a uniform you need to do the same. Ruslan should be running this hotel not this random Florida man.Overall, Ruslan is the best employee in Florida nay, the USA, but he is sadly not enough. The hotel is only worth about 60 a night not 120, not even during spring break. Ruslan, other nice employees, and waffles are keeping me from giving 1 star.

We had a training scheduled next day. We booked 1 night. We arrived late around 11:00 pm there was loud music coming from next door, I thought the party will be over soon but it kept going with weed smoke for non-smoking room til I decided to change room at 2:30 am. I could not concentate next day for my training. My coworker had to through his clothes away for itching which he thought could be bed bug. We had another 3 rooms booked for 2 days but we had to cancel despite the fact we lost the funds after we filed an official complain with choice corporate office without a resolution. Manager is extremely rude and will hang up on you. Stay away.

This place wasnt what I expected. This was the best place for the lowest cost of the Choice Hotels. Beautiful rooms and convenient location. Staff was really nice, the restaurant nextdoor was awesome and the rate was on point. The downfalls were minimal and could be overlooked, so I wont go into them.

We wernt expecting a Marriott but we definitely didnt expect this.Check in took 45 minutes with 3 parties in front of us. When we finally got up to the front desk...we noticed the woman in charge wasnt wearing a mask. We payed a resort fee through booking.com for $14, however we were told THEIR resort fee was $12, so we were forced to pay and additional $12 instead of being reimbursed 2 bucks.We got to the room, which seemed fair... until we sat on the bed. It was so hard and the pillows were the same. We started winding down and thats when we saw the FIRST roach. By the end of our visit we were up to killing 5 of the nasty beasts per day.Headed down to the restaurant bar to find half the staff didnt believe in wearing masks. The food was good but over priced. $11 for mac and cheese with no protein. Everyone was very nice and accommodating though, this gave us hope until...We headed to the pool around 7:45Pm.. a man who obviously loved his job yelled at us to get out and the pool was closed. We searched for any sort of sign describing the pool time. None to be found. Went back to the room to try the jacuzzi tub. Didnt work. We decided to call it a night but the night wasnt over for the rest of the guests.Adults yelling and slamming doors past 2 AM.. then at 3 AM we got a knock on our door. Repeated knocking despite us asking who they were and what they wanted through the door. Finally got this young womans attention through the window and she waved said sorry and dashed down the hall.I started wondering about if she belonged to the multiple groups of women through the complex who had their doors wide open, getting dressed in lingerie? Hmmm...Nothing was going to surprise us anymore!Received a non requested wake up call at 5 AM. So much for a restful get away. We stayed in the room for the next day and maintenence came by to fix the tub, he was very nice and fixed it diligently.We ate at the restaurant once more.. ordered togo instead. On the way back to the room a nice gentlemen from up stairs shouted at us. Apparently he had prescription pills for sale if we were interested.Put the TV on loud to try and drain out the yelling, dog barking and constant door slamming.We left as soon as we could the next day. Never again.

Beautiful hotel and room just FYI booking on a 3rd party booking site the hotel still bills an additional charge which is sorta sketchy. *EDIT* The cable here has been out 1 day, front desk has been lying since yesterday customer service department has a lot of lip service with no results deflecting about becoming a rewards member thats useless bs and run around, repetitive questions, and obvious reasons why I said what I said!!! The cable situation has been fixed 24 hours later after I called. Im looking forward to those great waffles in the morning, thanks 😊 !

Checked into room and bed looked stayed in and there was hair on towel. This would be upsetting during normal times, but during COVID this is absurd. We went to check out right away, but they were not willing to refund room. Completely disgusted and will not stay at a Rodeaway EVER again.
