Weve used this company twice for 2 properties and both times they told us the refrigerator was not repairable due to a $2,000 sealed system leak and we would need a new one. The first refrigerator was not under warranty so we took their word for it and bought a new refrigerator. The second time our refrigerator was under warranty and we ended up having to go through the manufacturer for the repair and the compressor needed to be replaced. What this company told us was far from the truth. Now Im concerned the first refrigerator did not need to be replaced. They spent less than 10 minutes at each of my properties and collected a service fee each time. Ive seen a few other reviews like this and there are probably many more instances of this same thing. Something isnt right here.

A-1 Appliance Repair was referred to me this morning from another company after our 14 year old refrigerator went on the fritz. They were able to send a technician (RJ) who called and texted to advise he was on his way, and once he arrived, was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He even had the part on his truck! This was one of the fastest repairs weve ever seen - even faster when the refrigerator was still under warranty. Thank you for great service to a new customer. We will definitely use A-1 Appliance Repair Service again.

Had a gas oven repair called in AM and got service call12-2 at12:15 Miegul showed up liked at oven turned it o and right away said he see the problem and with in20 minutes had it working better then newWill use again when I need appliances repair

They werent able to help me with my issue just because the motor on my dryer was on back order. But Jr was the technician that came out to my house and he was wonderful. also, Jennifer the phone receptionist found my order refunded my money and was really kind and helpful to me. To all who had a negative experience, please ask for RJ as your repairman. He is the most knowledgeable, courteous, friendliest and professional person I have ever encountered. A1 Appliance has always done good by me. They had to order my part for dryer and it was received and installed in a reasonable time. highly recommend this company.

Very poor customer service, woman at the desk is not polite.They were suppose to show up yesterday with 4 hour window!! Which is too much, and at the end didnt showed up. They already were here few month ago. And they replace the part in the dryer , and now they dont come back for the same issue. I wont use them again, and with this attitude wont recommend them either

The tec just came over look at the washer dryer and said it would cost 800 dollars to repair and that this machine would not be worth it . This should have been said by the reception for Me not to loose 65 dollars for a five minute look . This was explained to her .exactly what I told the tec is exactly what was wrong .This should be a requirement for those Who are working in the industry. I feel that that was a rip off .

Originally thought I was having an issue with a washer and dryer leaking. Tech came out and showed me its actually a leaking pipe! Very honest and wouldnt charge me the tech fee (I tried to pay him). Ill use this company in the future when I have a real appliance repair :)

Quick fair service

Had a problem with a microwave front grill broken tabs so I had to order a new one. Once the part came in but I couldnt figure out how to install it without removing the microwave. I spoke with Shawn (the technical guy) and he was able to explain the process in detail. He talked with me for about 10-15 mins until I understood what I needed to do. Today I replaced the front gill exactly as Shawn described. I am writing this bc you wont get that type of service from a big box store. Thank you.

I had a very good experience with this service. My refrigerator stopped working Wednesday night. I looked and saw the coils were quite dirty. I bought an appliance brush and cleaned them. Hoping the top of them with rectify itself overnight. It did not. I called a1 appliance repair the next morning they told me they could give me a 30 minute and start when they would arrive this way I was able to go to work and I could leave work at that moments notice. Im at Sean at the house he diagnosed my problem within 5 minutes you made the repair and he was out probably within 20 minutes. I couldnt say enough good things about this company. its always good to go on referrals when you need a similar service rather than cold searching dot-dot. I dont call a repair company to have someones political views pushed on me. Horrible experience! He kept talking even when I politely said that I dont talk politics!! Infuriating!!!!!!!!!

Tech didn’t show up for first two appointments which we stayed home and waited hours for. Third try, after misdiagnosing the problem, he took our deposit for a part. He came back and installed the part. Needless to say the dishwasher still didn’t work, with the same problem I called about. $300 later they stopped answering or returning my calls and we had to buy a new dishwasher on top of that. The tech had promised we could return the part since it was still new. But no response. Horrible experience. I will never use them again.

Horrible experience. Technician complained about being here, complained about moving the dryer for repair (refused to move it), and was rude and unprofessional.

I specifically needed a repair for a Gas Dryer (which not every repair company can fix). A1 was quick to come out, repaired same day. This was in 2009 & havent needed them since, but Ive recommended them to anyone who has asked- especially if you need gas appliances fixed.

I have used a1 appliances before as I am in management for a large corporation that uses them and they have been ok. This time I needed them for personal use for my noisy dryer. One Saturday a tech was scheduled and no one showed up. When a tech did come he diagnosed the wrong part. $195 later the dryer makes more noise than it originally did. They determined that it wasn’t that part we originally replaced but in fact the motor. They said they would send me a refund check minus the service call fee. I called 3 times and was told different dates the check was mailed out to me. I never received it. Finally I drove down to the store and they wrote me a check. I won’t be using them again for personal or business use.

Everything about our experience was excellent - dispatch was prompt, and the service technician was knowledgeable, efficient and professional. In addition to the emergency repair of a switch on our washer, he installed an inexpensive part that fixed a non-emergency problem with the agitator. The service charge was extremely reasonable, especially considering that we called just before 3:00 pm on a Saturday. Our previous appliance repairman has retired, and we are very happy to have found such a good replacement.

Excellent service! Called to have my dishwasher looked at on 7-9-14 and was scheduled for a technician visit on the morning of 7-10-14. Mike called at 8:30 AM to confirm our appointment and arrived shortly thereafter. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and honest about the potential outcomes of my issue. Within 45 minutes he had diagnosed and fixed the problem and now my dishwasher works! I will continue to recommend!

Called for refrigerator at 11:30 AM. It was repaired by 3:30PM. Great service, polite, professional service man.

After three scheduled appointments they showed up and charged $190 to install a $25 part. I already had the dryer apart, they spent maybe 20 minutes at my house. That’s half the price of a new dryer all together. They said the part was $54 of the bill and gave me the suppliers name, Marcone Supply, when I called them they said the part was $27.12. A1 also said the minimum service call is $98 but they charged $125 for 20 minutes.

A1 Appliance is the best! We have been using them for years. I had to give them a review after todays experience with 24 yr old Kitchenaide Refrigerator repair. First serviceman said if initial repair didnt last, just call back & they will send senior tech. Couple weeks later, when temp started to drop, we called back & they sent James right out. Not only did he fix our Fridge, but he took time to help us understand the problem. He spent couple of hours & No Charge for follow up! This is a great company with outstanding professionals! Thats why weve have been using them for years for both our home & rental properties. I would recommend them to anyone! Special thanks to James!

Consumers beware...I am a property manager and this company is at the top of the list for incompetent and untrusting as they come. My tenants waited 2 weeks for special ordered extended length drain line and water supply line for a dishwasher. When they come back to install it...all they did was connected multiple short drain lines together to make the extra length AND the special ordered long water supply line was so short (off the shelf from Home Depot type) that had to be disconnected before the dishwasher could even be pulled out to do any work on it. After installing the special ordered parts...the dishwasher would not drain (original issue was a leaking water supply line). They came back again and could not figure out why it would not drain and I pointed out I knew they did not install any special ordered parts as I had paid for and was told they were doing. Technician got instantly defensive (got caught in their lie)...he said he would give me a refund and I said I would get another appliance company to figure out what was causing it to not drain. When I called to follow up because they had not done the refund...I was told again the Owner of A-1 would be doing the refund. It has been over 2 months now and still no refund.I hired another appliance company to come figure out why the dishwasher would not drain after A-1 had worked on it...and it was discovered the A-1 guy apparently installed the multiple connected drain lines incorrectly not allowing it to drain properly. New company ordered the extra length drain line and it drained as it was intended to.Consumers beware with A-1 Appliances!

We have used A-1 Appliance many times over the years. They have been very responsible in their assessments and recommendations. This post is an odd one, but one that needs to express the professionalism behind the company. With all the running around, my wife called and said the dryer stopped working, knowing that I didnt have the time to check it out myself, I called A-1 and they sent a tech out. He wasnt exactly up on the unit as it is an older model Kenmore Elite H3 and after spending time checking this and that, told me that we needed a control board which was costly and that it would be advisable to get a new dryer. I personally have taken this unit apart to clean and make repairs, but I felt that he probably was correct. After shopping for a new unit, my conscience got the best of me and I came home and started taking it apart. I removed two parts that are known to cause the potential problem that we had. When I tested the unit it was bad. So I called them back and here is where they acted with the upmost professionalism. They immediately sent a tech out with the parts who installed them checked the unit and made sure everything was fine and offered their apology. As a small business owner myself, it is this type of action that separates one from the other. One who cares to take the immediate action of correcting a problem or diagnosiss. Yes my unit is an oldie but every tech has said this is a work horse since newer ones are not built like the old ones. So Im not going to criticize the the first assessment because the unit is old but us older baby boomers learned the hard way when dad would say check it again and again because you missed something. LOL! A-1 is A-1 in our book and we would and have recommended them over and over again. I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on our appliances. PERIOD!

Very disappointed with A 1 Appliance because they refuse to call me back to discuss an issue with the washing machine service/repair they did for us. The technician did not diagnose the problem correctly and we paid for an part, we did not need. To make matters worse the tech told us we could no longer use our small or medium water level cycles (which I know was not true) if the machine had been properly fixed. Very disappointed. Beware!!!

Unresponsive after taking payment for an initial quote for a replacement and service inspection. I have called multiple times and have left many messages with A-1. I have recieved no calls back after finding that their review of what was necessary was incorrect. Never again.

The general public should RUN AWAY from ever doing business with this company. Here`s my experience. I had my refrigerator evaporator stop working. I called for a service call and a gentleman showed up as scheduled the next day. So far so good! When he arrived he takes apart my refrigerator and shows me the evaporator not working properly and then says I`m not a expert in refrigerators, the company will need to send out the expert in this area. Why did they send out a technician without experience when they knew my problem?When the Expert shows up before he even opens my refrigerator he says I know you need a new one it`s $1600.00. When he saw the look on my face he then starts to explain how refrigerators my size cost a lot. He also Waves 3 tickets from other customers who are getting the same thing done for the same price this week.Hmmn FISHY TO ME 3 customers have the same size refrigerator and evaporator and model as me!When I showed him a receipt that 5 years ago I had the evaporator fixed for a leak and its cost only a few hundred dollars from another company, then he decided to actually look for leaks.After being unable to determine the exact location of the problem he then says the best I can do is $1500 and that this repair was a 5-6 hour job. Really ?I decided to shop around and get other prices knowing this guy was handing me a line of BS.My first call was to Sears appliances to find out the actual cost for the part it was $273.50 and they could send out a repair guy but not for a couple of days. My total cost including install was going to be less than a$1,000.My next call was to AAA CENTURY APPLIANCES a company that had great reviews on YELP for a third price. To my dismay there quote was only $695 total and they could install it the next day.They arrived promptly the next day installed the new one in a professional manner and I plan on giving them a HUGE like on all review sites. When a customer is desperate watching food spoil and not having a refrigerator to use for your family, the last thing you want is someone gouging you!THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED BUT THERE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK

Outstanding honest service. My dryer sits outside in a shed and parts fail regularly. First time had a repairmen to the house to troubleshoot he dryer and fee was reasonable. Ive taken dryer parts in that I thought failed and instead of selling me the part requested they tested the part only to find it was ok. On that instance I ended up finding a problem with an electric feed. One time before I knew how to test fuses, thermostats, heating elements, I sent all the parts in with my wife. They tested the parts and only sold the bad part to her.More businesses should treat their customers like this.

Con artist. Replaced a pump on our washing machine for $500 claming that would fix our leak. Very next day its leaking worse then before. They tell us we need to shell out another $500 for the house drain to be cleared. Problem was misdiagnosed to begin with by a technician who was very rude.

HORRIBLE customer service, extremely disappointed. Feel robbed of our $150. We called him to repair our washer, it took over an hour and the whole time he was unsure of the issue. He seemed to get it working and said if anything call back and I will come back and take a look...no charge. Well within 2 weeks our washer started acting up AGAIN, we called and he said it would be about another $250. I hate giving bad reviews, but when your insanely rude and lack customer service people need to be warned. I expect this review to disappear, as he said all you have to do is pay for bad reviews to disappear. Smh.

We had the misfortune of calling this company to fix our stove. We had the stove out, back off, and knew what part we needed. The guy came, looked without touching and said we needed the part we said we told him. He took our $200 deposit and we never got the part....as the part wasnt available anymore. When we inquired about our deposit...as he didnt do anything, they informed us they did a house call......The guy did nothing !! FOR $200....come on !! Found it would cost more to file a claim in court with filing, time lost at work, etc. LESSONED LEARNED !!! Beware,....do your homework before handing a large deposit.

Friendly staff, always has parts in stock. Just saved myself $100.00 in labor for a $20.00 part.
