Don’t move here at all don’t believe these good reviews ! Rent constantly goes up every up without a warning and they start charging you for extra new stuff that you didn’t ask for. Everything in the apartment easily gets broken , barley no hot water when showering , water gets cold after 10 mins in the shower. The walls are very thin everybody in the neighborhood can hear what’s going on your apartment! I stay on the second floor and it’s very hard to get a good rest sleep without hearing my neighbors kids running around , stomping , and yelling and hearing every conversation that’s happening outside. Like I would love to come home to a peace & quiet not hearing a circus outside my apartment!

Great location, centrally located and convenient to the airport, grocery store, the Fountains, downtown, the beach and my office. Neighbors are very friendly. Amenities are nice and never crowded. Maintenance has been extremely responsive to the minor calls (small water drips in the toilet and sink) I’ve had to make and repairs have both been completed within 24 hours. Claudia in the office was a great help in the moving process and made things very easy for me to apply then move in. Would recommend to newcomers or anyone else looking to make a change.

I’ve been in The Marin since the beginning of the month, and I must say things are great! The best part is my leasing agent Ms. Claudia. She is fun, has a great personality, and has been very helpful every step of the way. In fact, she’s the major reason to the 5 stars. Her customer service is unmatched. So I recommend you look out for her if you’re trying to do a tour and even lease.Other than that this property is located in a great spot. Close to work, groceries, the beach and friends. The amenities are great too! What more can I say?!Hope this review helps you with your all your future decisions.

We were looking for an apartment and went to see what was available at the Marin Apartments. The lobby was very trendy lofty cool looking and the pool area was fantastic. The gym was new and the grounds looked great. They didnt have a 1 bedroom available for us because they were full and we didnt need a 2 bedroom. Chris the leasing agent asked me to put up a review if I had the time even if we didnt rent there.. If there was an apartment available I would have rented it right there on the spot. He looked like he really enjoyed his job and genuinely liked the property. Weve been looking around and have not received such a warm reception from anyone. Compared to downtown Fort Lauderdale the price is about $300 less per month and the apartment was bigger and had the upgrades we wanted.

Its a nice looking property but that is about it. I have been paying $230 each month on a WATER BILL over a leak that management refuses to acknowledge and fix but gladly will bill us for. The maintenance crew are polite people, however the office staff are extremely rude, namely Claudia who has gone out of her way to insult myself and my roommates for issues the office will not take ownership to resolve. Claudia takes every opportunity to hurl personal insults whenever she gets the chance and I never understood her issue. I requested a mail key from Claudia and as always, she forgets to do things. Frederick is extremely rude and always says tenants are bothering him, his unprofessional and passive aggressive behavior is a turn off for the company. Just a miserable bunch of people pretending to be nice and attentive up until you sign on the dotted line for the lease. Since moving in on December 2018, we have over 30 maintenance calls for apartment issues that should of been addressed before me moved in. Who wants to move into an apartment with a clogged bathroom sink from the previous tenant and a carpet in the master bedroom that smelled like wet dogs. I tell people to avoid this place all the time and to find a property that has professional staff and apartments like mine that required about 30 maintenance calls within a 3 month span because they criminally rush people in on the move-in specials, but do not prepare the apartments properly beforehand. Fredericks response to this Can you wait until you see multiple issues and then call us? rather than apologizing for giving us a poor quality apartment. December 2019, here we come (lease ending).

So in the beginning it seemed like they were nice and eager to help. My husband and I personally love the this one Maintenance guy he is probably the best part about living there hes helpful and honest. So its clear they put a rush on the apartment when we first moved. We have a water stain in the roof of bedroom that still hasnt been fixed, the one in the living was. I can not begin to tell you how many times we have complained about the tile floors one crack and theres air in 6 other tiles to where the floor pops up. They incorrectly fixed the one broken tile and every time I called Nadine is in a meeting. Lets talk about that for a minute, she showed up to my home without a mask but used her sweater I refused to let her in, I even explained how I had some family members back in July 2020 who got covid so Im very cautious about letting people in my home without a mask. She throws her hands up and walks off and tell me to tell the guy to take pictures. By the way he cant because you have to walk on the tile to hear and feel it. When we spoke on the phone she was short cutting me off and I even said to her you just walked off- her exact words were it was a personal decision you said you had covid- my response no I said my family had covid back in July you walked off cutting me off while I was speaking. Imagine being stuck in a lease til 12/2021 after this. Lets not forget the high water bills and their response is do you have other people in the home. Keep in mind we have to register each visitors tag and because my husband doesnt want to do that so much he just extends it to the maximum to make it easy, and they use that as a spying technique thinking I have other people live in when its just me and him unless we plan a social gathering. I got accused of leaving food on my porch when it was the neighbors I even had to take photos to prove how nasty they are since our old neighbors move. Lets not forget that on multiple occasions large parties are had at night at the pool with the music blazing. My opinion, dont move here for what you pay is not worth how you are treated let along the culture of the staff.Claudia is still sweet and honest as well. She truly has poor management.

We enjoy living in the community for the most part. It’s conveniently located (close to highways, airport, downtown...) The community amenities, pool, gym, package delivery storage, food truck Thursdays, etc. are all huge perks. Our apartment and living space is very spacious, with lots of closet space and storage. We upgraded our flooring and have the option of the garage for additional storage. The leasing office staff (Claudia, Frederic, and Gina) have always been friendly, kind, accommodating, and responsive. When some of our neighbors were not so great at cleaning up after themselves, the office handled it well. As residents themselves, you can tell they care and work hard to keep their community looking nice. It’s our second year here. There have been a lot of changes, but mostly for the better. Unless our jobs take us away, we’ll likely be staying for a while.

A lousy place to live that just keeps getting worse. This place was maintained by a group called Altman that apparently didnt maintain the properly. Now that Carroll management has taken over it went from poor to horrible. Read the reviews and see. They seem to think that renaming the complex will help. Look for Grove East Plantation or Marin.Marin is the new nameThe one good person (Tracy) has left the complex and now we are back to the regional manager who does little to help.Service request work is never ending... they close the service request so corporate things they are doing a good job... but the work is seldom completed the first time properly. Electricity issues abound, broken security cameras, dog droppings all over the place, poor customer service, lack of follow-up and the list continues. The best one... a secure complex with BROKEN SECURITY GATES... not for a day, for months.Outside neighbors routinely sneak into the complex and use the facilities. Management is aware of it, no action taken. Cars were being broken into regularly and seldom do you see the security guard they say is there. If you speak with residents you will hear the same story over and over. While they are trying to fix things, their customer service is horrible. They really do not care about you as long as you pay on time.Have a conflict and they threaten to evict you.BUYER BEWARE... avoid this place.

WARNING!!!!!! Don’t waste your time renting here, If I can I would give this place no stars, only been living here for 3 months & my car got broken in to & my car was left on bricks, seen people jumping gates to get into the property, walking around the property looking into residents cars, the gate sucks because people wait until someone open the gate & tailgate so it be like 4-5 cars waiting & the gate take forever to close, so anybody can enter the apartment property, they need to do something about that, don’t know where security be. When you tell the office about this issue, they just say okay we going to handle it, & don’t do anything, they just want our money, they don’t care about our safety at all. Don’t know why it’s even a gated community. Can’t wait for my lease up, first class out this place.

After visiting your Community for the first time, I was greeted by a staff member at the office, who was not friendly at all. When I visited your Community, I was looked at by the staff member like I couldnt afford to live at this community. I was not greeted by the staff member, she showed no interest in me when I visited. I was not greeted with a smile, the staff person was very stuckup acting. I would of loved living here, but after my experience you lost a potential guest, that could have been a potential tenant at your community. The community is beautiful, but if the staff, doesnt stand out like the community; then it makes the whole community look bad. The rental office, and staff should set the tone for the community, Youre the door to Community.Im no longer interested in booking a tour, or completing an application at your community, you have to make people feel welcome.

Lived here three years (just moved out), and the first two were great. This past year (2017-2018) however, was a horrible experience. The new management company came in (Carrol Management) and everything went down hill. Everything from the maintenance of the properties (dirty hallways-they use to pressure wash, garbage on the street, etc) to the break-ins of cars (multiple cars got there tires stollen or broken into). The gate was kept open for the whole last month that we lived there, but it ALWAYS had issues. The management company (on 2 different occasions) tied a letter to all the doors notifying the tenants that they would be entering the apartment the SAME day for an inspection. On a different occasion, they tied a letter to the door stating that they had a company who was going to repaint the parking lot, and if any cars parked on the side of the parking lot that was being worked on, they were going to get towed. Same day notice! The worst part of living there this past year was my husband coming home in the middle of a week day to find 3 guys in our kitchen. This time NO NOTICE. They were not from the maintenance department, but they were measuring our cabinets and said that the office told them they had permission. My husband (pissed as hell) went to the office for answers and the lady told him that she left ME a voicemail, which was a complete LIE. He called corporate on the matter, and when they spoke to the management company, corporate called my husband back stating that the office spoke to me. Again, completely FALSE. It was pointless calling corporate because it was clear that they were more worried about covering their butts then making things right. As nice as our apartment was, and the great memories that were shared the first two years, I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Quite the opposite. Whoever is the property owner, do yourself a favor and hire a new management company ASAP.

Thé apartments are a complete mirage. From a distance everything looks fine until you get up close on everything. The hallways are filled with dog poop and the apartments have poor workmanship and are damaged. There are gaps between the walls and the floors so when you clean water spills into the unit below you. They lure residents in with specials cause no one wants to really move there but once there they try to scam on ways they can get you to pay back the special which is a SCAM. They also run insurance scams here and will purchase insurance in your name if you are not careful. They also personally attacked several residents whom already moved out by damaging their credit and etcétéra. They envy you when you actually use the gym and club facilities while they work and are generally unhappy people. Gradually you will feel the oppressed spirit of the place. They deserved to be sued and it’s been long overdue. Please go check out the other Luxury apartments before you come here because you will leave disappointed. God bless

Today I left for work and my key would not work to lock or unlock the door. As soon as I realize the office was open , I called, maybe around 9 15... I had to be to work because it was a pretty new job and I have 2 children and a newborn. Luckily, my mom doesnt live far and she was able to wait at the house until maintenance came. Claudia informed me that maintenance would def make it before they close which was at 7 30. Maintenance came to my house before 5 and mention to my mother that he will be right back with a new lock as his key didnt work to lock or unlock my door neither.. I realized was getting late and called office after 7, maybe 3 times and no answer. Unbelievable that a worker can leave a job without notice to me or management office that he wouldnt return to complete the job. I have to be late to my new job and put up with the disrespect from a place I have been calling my home for nearly 3 years now. After this situation, I realized that the only thing consistent about this new management is the pest control. Had I known that the maintenance guy would not return today, I would have bought the new lock myself and not have to be late for work.I have already sent email out to welisten!

A few months have passed since my last review—I was hoping things would change, but they have gotten EXCESSIVELY worse!I have been emailing Rodney and the other leasing staff since last Wednesday regarding several issues. As usual, I have not gotten a response and nobody picks up the phone when I call.My main concern is the security here. How is it that you supposedly have a security company working on the premises, but 6 cars have been burglarized since Sunday, including my own???And how has someone been stabbed on the property last week, but none of the residents were made aware of this?!Something needs to change. Since Carroll Management has taken over, things have been progressively getting worse, filthier (property appearance) and more dangerous. There seems to be zero concern for the residents’ safety and well being. We have families with young children living here, single women, individuals who work late and come home late—security NEEDS to be tighter! Why does the gate stay open long enough for 4 cars to follow someone in?????? There are gates that only allow one vehicle at a time and that’s what this property needs given its geographical location.Fences need to be higher so no one can jump them to enter the property from the sidewalks—specifically from SW 2nd Ct, where this seems to happen ALL THE TIME.I am infuriated with the lack of response from a management company that claims to be so “involved with the community”.

The manager of the complex really needs an attitude check. I dont think she knows (or maybe even cares) how she comes off to people who visit the office. Luckily, we wont be here much longer; weve been here since 2015 through 1-2 different apartment management companies. There are a lot of good things I have seen with this company, but the manager has got to go. One of the better staff members I have enjoyed working with is Claudia; she actually lives in the complex and understands many of the issues. She helped me out of a bind that was my fault, but the manager didnt want to lift a finger. This same manager really gets a thrill of setting a specific tone of I am the authority, what I say goes, I cant help you, its out of my hands. One thing that could improve is...for the left hand to communicate with the right hand. If you are using different companies for packages and parking, you all need to be on the same page; I shouldnt get the typical agentist run around saying thats managed by a different company, sorry, cant help you. You know how disempowering that sounds? Get over yourselves.

Id give it 0 out of 5 if I had to. ive been here since 2014 and I cant wait till my bloody lease is up! this place gets worse and worse and I do not! recommend anyone living here nor giving it a try. This is by far the worse place I have ever lived in, they are scams and money hungry and are not lenient. This place is not safe at all surrounded in a dangerous neighborhood and my car was stolen twice behind the gate, inside the facility and staff was not helpful at all. As for parking its pointless majority of the times as people in the area come and park in our facility, even if you pay for parking its pointless and doesnt help. if you are late do to any emergency or bank related after the 3rd of every month then you cannot use your routing number to pay which will charge a 3.1% fee on top of the rent so the more you pay the larger your fee is and they do not accept any other payment. garbage stinks and depending on where you live garbage can be quit a walking distance. and if you use the garbage bin outside the apartment theyll find away to make you pay extra on top of what your paying for garbage. Utilities you also pay for electric and water. maintenance sucks and if your toilet leaks and is costing you lots of money either higher a plumber or wait a few months till they get it right. Ive lived in a few apartments here and if you choose to ignore and still rent a place do not get the ones on the 3rd floor/ last floor, as it gets really hot from the sun and you will need to keep the ac on during the day which means more money on electricity. The pool is very dirty majority of the time as people outside if the facility come and swim/ pee in the water. The staff gets worse and worse and more useless and helpless. Luxury? nope place is garbage. better off looking elsewhere for a cleaner safer environment thats worth the rent and isnt money hungry

Horrible Experience! MONEY HUNGRY AND NOT WORTH IT !When I joined the lease around May 2018 , the amenities were great (pool & gym) everything was smooth up until they started transitioning management and new office employees for like the 3rd time, THEN a couple months later in mid JULY they decide to “renovate” the pool AND gym (IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER) Which our children don’t get to enjoy until now when it’s chilly and windy. Yes, the renovation looks nice but what about the jacuzzi that’s been broken since I moved in?? ... Not to mention my fiancé’s car had been booted due to this ‘New Parking System’ that they only apply to certain residents! I’ve had numerous issues with the gate where I could not get in at late hours of the night or could not let guest in because my code was mysteriously changed to a NEW residents phone number and when I contacted the office one of the ladies told me that’s just how it is even though my name is on the lease I couldn’t get another gate code meaning I couldn’t let any guests in!!!!. Last but not least they have multiple employees that work in the office living on site, in my opinion it’s messy and unprofessional. The list goes on... and this is only within a year of me living here.

Since the property had been taken over by Caroll Management during the summer months of 2017, the living conditions went good to mediocre. Residents pay for valet trash pickup 5 days a week, your trash will stay for 3 days straight in your hallway without being picked up. Therefore the hallways smell and I have seen with my own 2 eyes rats running in the hallway. I had to ask myself if I was back in NYC in a crackhead building. They do not clean the property; we still have dirt and debris from hurricane Irma and that was 2 months ago. I have went to the office to ask if they no longer offer that service of cleaning the hallways; their response was that they did and they still havent done a thing about it and it has been a month. The staff in the leasing office are absolutely rude and uneducated or untrained on their job; that girl named Christine will give you whatever answer that comes to her mind instead of telling you that she does not know the answer to your question and that she would figure it out Every single month, its a problem to pay your rent on their website because they still cant figure out how to work their website lol. You still would not use their website to pay your rent anyways because it is not a secure website meaning hackers could steal your payment info at any time. There is no security on the property at night. I have seen suspicious individuals whom do not live on the property come in looking at my neighbors cars and others doing drugs. I have went to the office to complain and nothing had been done about it so at the end I called the police. When you put in a maintenance request, it gets taken care of in weeks and sometimes they forget so you have to put in another request. (Yes, the assistant manager told me she forgot about my carpet cleaning request.) The rent is high for the size of the apartments here and it is not worth it to come live here. I am just waiting for my lease to be over so I can go live somewhere absolutely better.

I lived there for a year, the staff was nice to me; however, I had some issues that aggravated the time I lived there, so I decided to move out. I had a lot of issues with the parking space, you pay for it, but has no saying if you get home at 8:00 PM, and cannot find a parking space for you. They also take months to clean the pathways, it was nasty, and after several complaints, they pressure clean, and then another 4 months until the next cleaning and several complaints again, the dirty led to mosquitoes invasion. Besides all that, my apartment was very noisy, I could hear all the traffic passing by and had to use ear plugs to sleep, and also had to install blackout curtains to make the room a little bit more comfortable to sleep. For the price they charge for the rent they should take better care of the property. Now, another problem that Im having: It has been two months since I moved out, I left my apartment impeccable that they were able to rent to another person immediately as I moved out (I know this because I met the person living there now), but I havent get my deposit rent yet. I have been calling and always an excuse. Last time I called they said it was already sent and to wait 5 to 7 days, it has been over 10 days and nothing. I will wait until the end of the day today, and then will take action according to my rights on REQUEST FOR RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT 14 M.R.S.A. §6031 et seq.

The management here is incapable of completing any tasks whatsoever. I had my identity used by one of its employees to place someone here and when I confronted the management they said she no longer worked there and they could do nothing about it. I hired a lawyer to dispute everything and had it cleared, but then later they published the charges again. Beware... do not move here and do not even think of giving personal information! This company is the wave of slumlords hitting south Florida!

Terrible place to live. My family and I are leaving ASAP.Im writing this after their maintenance man currently working on Unit 305 shrugged and told me to talk to the office because slamming doors and yelling MAINTENANCE loudly is part of his job. Of course he didnt apologize for waking my toddler girl up from her nap. Thanks for the courtesy, pal. Just tried calling the office about this character but of course they didnt answer. Maybe you reading this should call and see if they do! Ill wait.Front gate is a security issue. There is drug activity BOTH day and night. I would advise staying indoors at night unless the breed of dog you have to walk is a large one. Know that their security guard really does nothing but listen to music all night and 1.) doesnt work every day of the week and 2.) is not only afraid to approach people breaking the law, but has even been advised by our lackadaisical management team that he shouldnt approach people for his own safety. WOW. I have personally given management the license plate information and car models for people who are suspicious and break the Broward County Law noise ordinance. Hey- they wanted proof. Well, theyve done nothing. They refuse to approach these people to talk to them. And Ive also been told not to chat with them for my own safety. I guess they know the sort of criminals theyre allowing in here.Lost over $1,000 to repair my own AC unit after my husband was publicly mocked for his supposed ignorance of the matter in the leasing office. We werent supposed to repair the issue in the first place; an AC specialist inspected everything and concluded its a coolant problem from the AC box OUTSIDE. Took months to recuperate just a fraction of our money. Mosquitoes and flies enter the home constantly due to the accumulation of garbage and filth outside the front hallways. Learned the hard way that lavender essential oil is a natural bug repellant remedy that actually works- just in case you find you must live here for whatever reason. Bathe in lavender. Lavender is your life now. That, and ear plugs.Loud music all throughout the night- BSO police have tremendous disdain for this complex by now due to all the complaints. Music is so loud that our apartment windows rattle- especially when the gift of life driving his blue Lincoln Continental rolls through. People sneak in through the gate and climb over often. On weekends- you wont find a parking spot after 7 p.m. as a resident. USPS and FedEx packages are still a mess since they havent set up a package area in their office as a courtesy to their residents. According to the USPS ladies across the street- theyve followed up with the leasing office and have been waiting MONTHS for a simple form and signature which will give them permission to deliver packages to us rather than hold.Sometimes the packages that DO make it through (UPS) are stolen. Good times.Maintenance requests? Oh thats really all they are to this pathetic management company: REQUESTS. And being mere requests, theyre ignored for weeks until you make it a point to follow up multiple times in person.Moving into our quiet home in a gated community soon. I know its not the Four Seasons but Ill tell you what- itll feel that way after the Hell this ghetto of a complex put us through.DO NOT MOVE HERE- INVEST IN A REAL ESTATE AGENT AND FIND A BETTER OPTION.

My husband and I have been here for about a year and a half and it went from great to horrible. Since Carroll Management has taken over, I have received nothing but incompetence, ignorance, bad attitude, rudeness, lack of communications and disorganization. If you try to call the leasing office, you should expect them not to return your call. The staff at the leasing office are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Those that have experienced GroveEast prior to the management change, would understand that Altman’s staff was far beyond superior when comparing the professionalism and knowledge possessed by the current staff provided by Carroll. The dishonesty was our icing on the cake if you may that has determine whether my husband and I would continue our residency at GroveEast… And it’s been determined that we will not.In the past, when our water was not available, we’ve received ample amount of time WITH A NOTICE from Altman Management that our building’s water service will be undergoing maintenance. A few of weeks ago, under Carroll Management, our water was cut off. We called the leasing office several times until we were able to get a hold of the assistant manager, Beatrize. We’ve then expressed our concern asking why was our water cut. She stated that she’d have to contact maintenance to see if there are any scheduled request at the building and that she’ll call us back upon receiving more information. About an hour later, we received a call, at which she had asked us if we had paid our water bill. To our understanding, we did pay as the bill as it is included in addition to our rent. She then went on to expressing that the Broward County Water and Wastewater services was working on repairs. We couldn’t make any sense of if, so my husband contacted the Broward Water Department and was told that there was an overdue balance as the water bill hasnt been paid for several months (since Carroll management has taken over/Summer).We’ve noticed suspicious activity in the community that ranges from non-residents climbing over the gates, accessing the pool and other common areas, to a parking lot full of non-residents, car break-ins and vehicles without the proper decals. As I understand it, the title and position requirements of Property Management is first to lower the amount of resident vacancies - hence, to serve the owner(s) in profiting from the investment property. From our experience, in addition those from other residents, it seems as though the current staff employed by Carroll Management serves the contrary.Be aware of your money! We’re certainly vacating Grove East in Plantation when our lease expires.

I have been a resident for about a year and a half. When i first moved in the property was managed by Altman Companies. The staff in the office and the Property Manager, Kay, were very friendly, helpful and customer service oriented and you saw the same faces in the office on a regular basis. I was happy with my choice and happy with my apartment. This summer Altman sold the property to Carroll Mgmt Co and things changed. There is definitely a marked change in how the property is maintained. I would see the landscaping company regularly, maintenance was quick to pick up any litter that might be lying around (I walk by a building that has had a ton of cigarette butts near the bushes for several weeks now, Altman would have taken care of this regularly) and the apartment breezeways were power washed once a week (they are now so filthy) just to name a few. Just recently I started dealing with the presence of ants which makes me wonder of an extermination service once in place was terminated. The property felt like a hidden gem in an area that was meh. Now the property just looks tired.Altman would accept and hold packages for the residents (most places like that sell this service as an amenity). Carroll Mgmt has terminated this service. Everyone is supposed to have a sticker on their car(s) to indicate they are residents but I regularly see cars on the property that dont have stickers and it makes me wonder if people are living there who are not on the lease and have therefore not been properly vetted.Im on the fence about renewing my lease. The property is close to the Turnpike, close to 95, downtown Ft. Lauderdale, and the mall. East of the property near I95 new businesses are popping up. Im hoping that Carroll Mgmt is just still transitioning and that things will get better. Hopefully they will take note of some of the criticism in other postings and address them.

Worst place I have ever lived. Management is terrible, dumb, and lazy. Maintenance is awful and the trash service youre forced to pay for is terrible. Over priced, unsafe neighborhood, bad parking if you live in the front buildings you have to share parking with the businesses so people who actually live here have no where to park during week days. My car was broken into despite the gates which are usually broken and the 24 hour security which is one guy on a golf cart. Weve had a problem with ants since day one, maintenance comes in whenever they want with out warning.

Resident over a year. When I 1st moved in the washer wasnt working. That was replaced. There’s also an infestation of Millipedes. This has been an issue since we have lived here but the front desk knew about it and were constantly fumigating so that kept them away and If we ever saw them we would speak to front desk and they would take care of it asap. We experience no other issues. All packages were delivered to front desk and that was very convenient, keeping packages safe and secure. The hallways got pressure washed constantly, the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna all were kept clean. Great customer service, everyone got everything done efficiently and fast. I truly fell in love with Grove East Community & decided Id stay couple years. Grove East was purchased this year by Carroll Management Group and employees were replaced. Since new management took over everything has gone downhill. The employees are ghetto, unprofessional and don’t get anything done. The hallways are now disgusting and sticky, bugs were coming back and I even started getting ants which I never had.. 1st They changed package policy and now they leave the package at your door (plus they raised rent). Ive had 2 packages stolen since this policy started. All this occurred when I had to renew my lease. I thought it through and it was too costly to move so we stayed. 1st we go to front desk and asked them to send new lease agreement (which had to be signed before cutoff time). I brought it to they’re attention all the issues we were having and felt brushed off. I did this 3 times and 3rd time I spoke with Property Manager. He said the packages were no longer their responsibility and they had no obligations so that there was nothing they could do. He said they already “pressure washed” & fumigated. I just told him to take a look at it himself that it wasn’t. 1 guy came and sprayed a corner in my living room and left. I still have bugs. 2nd time I asked no one came and 3rd time when I spoke to Manager the warms stopped. It took me 3 times to get something done. Current situation: Now hurricane Irma is on its way and I requested shutters yesterday. I was told I would get them yesterday and waited all night patiently. No one came. I went 1st thing in the morning. Another resident walked in at same time extremely upset because they never brought hers either. I kindly reminded them about the shutters and they said yes, you’re on the list brushing me off again. They said they had some in the back and they would get that to me today. I waited all day and nothing. I go in the afternoon to to know status & all they say is I was on the list rolling her eyes and tilting her head like she was over it I asked to speak to the property manager Rodney Mcmillan and he comes out extremely pissed off raising his tone at me telling me right away (like we just met on the street) telling me he will get to me when he gets to me. Grabbing the list and flipping pages. I could not believe how unprofessional he was being. At this point I’m furious because he is literally yelling at me. Clearly he forget he was at work. I told him he was being unprofessional and to stop yelling and he said that he did not need to lower his tone and that he should be home right now instead of there and that he was doing us a favor by staying Etc. At this point I have to fly out. I’m going to have to leave the apartment unsafe and unsecured without shutters and hope for the best! Since Carroll Management Group bought out Grove East and placed this new employees in office, nobody in this office gets anything done, they’re on a power trip, don’t seem to care about your problems and concerns and have no professionalism and if you go in to ask for anything your lucky if it gets done and you will most likely be brushed off with an attitude or apparently yelled at. I truly regret renewing my lease. I have never in my life had to write a review but the treatment I received today has left me in shock. I’m just trying to save every one the nightmare. DON’T SIGN A LEASE HERE!

I wouldnt even give this place a star. My fiancé and I have lived here since April of 2015. When the new property manager took over, the place went down hill. We pay $2000.00 together for an unsecured complex. They stole a bike that was locked up under the stairs from where we reside. The hallway and stairs are filthy because its not cleaned often anymore. Valet garbage does not come on Fri and Sat., so were left with stinky garbage sitting in the house or right outside our doors until they come Sunday night. The air conditioning sucks, maintenance will come and put a band aide on it until you make a fuss, but my name isnt even on the lease, so who am I??The pool area is filthy, where my 15 year son old will hang after sundown; with a dude who wants to be a woman. Cant get a restraining order bec the office refuses to intervene since this adult lives with parents and isnt on the lease either. But he smokes marijuana with him, and I cant protect my son because of this.We just got a 3 day notice from someone who we dont know at all. And all my fiancé was worried about is renewing this lease electronically for a year bec we werent even given a chance to look for a new place. I asked Kay, or Kamilla the property manager about this lease time after time again and she kept giving me the run around. Weve paid our rent faithfully since we moved in on or before time. But this is the thanks we get. I miss Derrick, he was an awesome property manager for Grove East. This complex has ruined my relationship with a man of 5 years. Not to mention the high crime rate in this neighborhood. Didnt know we were right in the heart of the ghetto. Thanks a lot, Grove East.Signed, a disappointed tenant.
