STAY AWAY from these guys!A simple job that takes a normal welding company a week or two ended up taking this guy 9 months. Every week another excuse! The result was complete trash and we now have to re-do the entire part. The welds were extremely sloppy and didnt fuse and he didnt properly weld the pipes together. Cracks everywhere before even powdercoating it. This part will fill with water and probably not even support minimum weight. The material is scrap and the 50% downpayment is out the window. Dont use these guys, you can find plenty of other fabricators out there.

Cant say enough good things about the way Skip works. He was flexible, creative, and listened to what I needed as he fabricated a custom outboard bracket for my boat. This ultimately cost 60% of what it would have elsewhere (and would not have been custom fit). Skip also supervised the installation which turned out to be vital. His workmanship and attention to detail are terrific. Id definitely work with him again.

What a great shop. I called this morning and spoke with the owner Skip regarding getting a rough edge of an aluminum spool polished. I had the day off and he told me he could take a look at my project if I swung by. The shop was easy to find and he dropped what he was working on to review my project. He walked me through his best solution and was able to polish the spool to its original, new condition while I waited. Was hoping to find a smaller fabrication shop with some accommodating employees. Googled - marine metal fabrication near me.Sand Shark was at the top of the list with five stars. Decided to drop by and see if they could help.Skip turned out to be like a long lost friend. He asked if I needed it right away. I said, if possible. Skip quoted me a price - I agreed - He went right to work. I could not be happier with him or his work.When I was ready to leave skip asked if I wanted one of his business cards and I said, sure. Had a great experience! I noticed the weld on my chain plate was cracked so I called Skip in the AM, and he fit me in later that afternoon. The part looks great, and he assures me it is stronger now than it ever has been. Got to play with his dog Trixie the whole time. Would highly recommend to anyone needing metalwork done.

I contacted the owner Skip a day ago regarding a trim tab plate that was made by a company that is no longer in business for my 27ft Mako as it was recessed on a piano hinge with a extreme tack weld and needed to duplicate it do the the boat running incorrectly in the water with 1 plate missing Skip answered my call told me to come down and show him what I have and was able to duplicate and provide me with a new plate for my boat after months of searching for one to replace it within 24hours without having to replace the entire system I highly recommend Skip as he is the best at what he does and very professional
