Nuerofeedback has changed my life in so many ways. I had severe PTSD and anxiety. Ive been going for a year and a half. Its not a quick fix, it takes work outside of the sessions. Its like going to the gym for your brain but you cant just sit on the equipment and expect results. If you are determined to get better, nuerofeedback WILL work for you. It saved my life

UPDATE: The response from Neurofeedback Clinic of NoCo is a false cut and paste written by the owner/director, *addressed to only negative reviews (he/she says they cannot respond, yet they *do*!?). The identity or experience of a client of NCNC is never questioned if a positive review is posted, nor is confidentiality, nor mental health highlighted in reply. This is an attempt to stigmatize and intimidate those who honestly speak up about an unpleasant or directly negative experience. *This clinic provides NEUROFEEDBACK: help with NEUROLOGY, the entire brain. The brain is mapped upon Visit #1. Neurology treatment includes sleep, vision, memory loss, hand-eye coordination, traumatic brain injuries, physical health and yes, mental health, among many other areas of treatment. To reply that mental health is the only area of treatment is FALSE and stigmatizes mental health negatively. Any client brave enough to give honest feedback regarding his or her experience is essentially labeled as mentally ill. As a former clinician myself, I am considering contacting the Colorado Medical Board as well as other patient advocacy representatives to report this activity, as it endangers and shames real people/clients, who did have true experiences and initially sought treatment for whatever neurologic reason initially from NCNC. It would be actually ethical if NCNC could accept honest feedback and grow from it, instead of defensively questioning the identity of a client and stigmatizing mental health. NCNCs very response (again, they claim not to respond) illuminates paranoia, a lack of ethics, and extreme unprofessionalism.(My initial review is below; it received the same, defensive cut and paste-statement given to every negative review they get)....Sadly, after repeated efforts at communication and clarification regarding my experience, being a client for over four years, I was ultimately treated with unethical standards and then gaslighted when I requesting answers. What a disappointment and professionally sad experience. This could have been a much different review, but Im compelled to bring the truth to light. I wrote a similar review prior to this one and got a call from my neurofeedback technician that very day, after essentially hearing nothing for months. I took the review down, but felt it was important to share the truth for obvious reasons and am re-posting. This organization seems to confuse quantity with quality in terms of client service. I write this as a part of my healing and to make a formal realization that even if some organizations blame Covid for failing to rise to service, others do the opposite, and treat individuals as though, Were all in this together. I believe that how a business either uses the tragedy of Covid as an excuse or allows for an opportunity for growth can be very revealing. In this case, it was the former, and was a game-changer. I am embarrassed for the clinic and confused about the lack of ethical termination; which could have been very damaging. However I am very proud of the growth within myself that this experience brought out within me, so I also publish this for others who may have had a similar experience. Attention to detail in this field is vital. *I recommend the book, The Four Agreements- which holds a beautiful and simple concept; the last agreement, which is, Always do your best. Sadly, thats not what I believe occurred on behalf of NCNC.Lesson learned.

Good technology but I have been left unable to trust this place. First it seems like the vast majority of the employees are burnt out and dont care which is extremely bad in a business like this. I am sure there are some good people, but Ill never know because...I went in for my free consultation. Gave Rachel the receptionist my insurance info and she said Im fully covered. So now I wait 5 weeks and get my brain mapping appointment. I go, they are late to let me in and the lady asks who I am like a bouncer at a club. I walk in and we have to stop by and talk to Rachel. She informs me that it is actually $100 a session. I am completely surprised, she says I can pay part and then work out a payment plan which is nice. Before my next appointment I check with the insurance and my deductible hadnt been met, but even when it is met, they would only pay 70%! Rachel bold face lied to me and Im pretty sure she just made up the fact that I would be covered. In a place thats all about progressive mental health, and the receptionist lies to you?! And cant even do the basic human act of saying Im not sure. Its insurance, its fine to be unsure.I am very upset but I really want the help, I have heard so many good things about neurofeedback. I decide I will go for my intake and then one actual session and then I will just focus on paying them back.So I go in for my intake, I have to stop by and talk to Rachel again. She informs me that I have to pay $100 right now. I remind her of the payment plan that she had mentioned and she informs me that I have to pay for this session right now. I tell her I cant and she says I have to at least pay the remainder from the previous session. I tell her I cant. She says we will have to reschedule me for next week then. And I tell her to just cancel it.The payment plan ended up being pay before we help you for even a minute more.I understand they need to get paid, but the fact that all these developments happened as I am walking to the room to get help (during the time that I pay for!), and the receptionist Rachel will just say whatever you want to hear, it feels like a scam.It is extremely disheartening to see such amazing technology with such poor business fundamentals. And it is highly questionable how much this business really cares about helping people after the values the receptionist has displayed.*Also, in another review it is mentioned that a client was assigned a therapist which the client knew personally (a major no-no). The client told this to the director Lisa and she said it was fine. The client and therapist meet, the therapist finds out, talks to Lisa who says it is up to her (the therapist) to decide what to do. The therapist says they cant do it, which is the right answer. This is a prime example of an inexperienced leader. Also in my consultation before I faced my real deep issues I said I would want to come for peak performance training. The therapist I was talking to was surprised. I asked if thats allowed and she said something to the effect of We do advertise for it so yeah. It was clear she didnt really know and only knew as much as I did from briefly looking at their website.

This place rocks and does for most people what conventional therapy cant! It is crazy how sitting and watching a movie with electrodes on your head for 45 mins. can re-wire your brain and help calm your brain down. So, please keep in mind these three things when deciding to try or not to try Neurofeedback therapy: 1) Neurofeedback therapy takes more then ONE visits to work properly for most people and before you may notice any chsnges/difference, 2) Weither or not your insurance is accepted here does not have ANYTHING to do with their quality of service(s), 3) Dont start this kind of therapy if you are going to be doing any kind of travelling right away after your first visit (plan and schedule accordingly and ask any and all questions ahead of time!). THIS IS NOT A QUICK FIX OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT (stuff like this does not egsist, you have to put in the work and must want things to change)!!!!

My therapy experience here was incredible! Ive never tried anything like the unique combination of therapy and Neurofeedback and I saw so much growth in myself! My therapist was kind and understanding and I felt like my Neurofeedback helped me work on the things that we talked about in each session. I have also had great sleep and more manageable anxiety since starting here. Thank you so much, NCNOCO!

Neurofeedback and my therapist have been really helpful in ways I couldnt have imagined! I have had 30 sessions and feel calmer and dont react to things in anger the way I used to. Im less impulsive, wake up in a good mood and feel its harder for things to bother me and change my mood. My family and friends have noticed a difference too because Im more present and dont overreact. The entire staff are very caring and professional. I believe it can help in lots of different ways and would highly recommend it!

The Neurofeedback Clinic of NoCo has pretty poor customer service, in my experience.1. In attempting to get a brain map for my child, I have been reminded in every phone and in-person conversation that they are working off a wait list, and it will be really hard to get an after-school appointment.2. About a month after my first inquiry, we got an after-school appointment for a brain map. NCofNC did check in with me once or twice to remind me that they know Im waiting for an afternoon time slot and they are working off a wait list.3. The day of the 4:00 pm appointment arrives. Around 9:30 am, the therapist calls to say she needs to leave early but we can still do the brain map with another therapist at 12:00 or 1:30 pm. Ok, I opt for the noon slot because this has taken long enough.4. At 11:40 I go to the wrong waiting room. Fully my mistake. I realize there is no receptionist and notice that therapists are coming out of their rooms to take clients, so I assume our therapist will do likewise. After calling them numerous times and listening to the long list of therapists extensions on the phone message, Ive come to believe they dont have an administrative staff and each therapist works more or less independently. Turns out I was wrong.5. At 12:20 I get a phone call from the therapist wondering if we should reschedule because I havent arrived. I have, I flip out on the phone and tell her Im frustrated and where Ive been waiting, and she comes to get me.6. Therapist performs brain map on my child. While the scans are underway, I can see the screen of her computer as she is pulling up what appears to be sensitive client information and filling out forms. Perhaps she has to work through her lunch to accommodate a same-day appointment change based on her co-workers unavailability. Not sure Im supposed to be able to see what shes got up on her computer.7. Brain scan is complete, therapist tells me that each session is 20-25 minutes of art therapy, talk therapy, or play therapy -- whichever I think would be most beneficial/appropriate (Am I qualified to make this decision? Isnt *she* the therapist?), and 20-25 minutes of neurofeedback. Good news, there is an afternoon slot that just opened up and I can call back to make an appointment for the (parent-only) intake.8. I call Lisa to make the appointment and realize that I recognize the therapists name, confirming both first and last name. I tell Lisa that I know this person, and is it ok to be assigned to her? Lisa tells me that as long as were not close friends its ok.9. The day of the intake appointment, I arrive 10 minutes early -- to the correct waiting room -- and notice that the front office is locked. It is locked until 10 past the hour, when Lisa comes in to unlock the office and collect copays from another person who has been waiting and myself. Therapist arrives to take me to her office. She says I look familiar. I tell her where we know each other from. She says this neurofeedback relationship might not work and goes to talk to her director (Lisa). Therapist comes back and says Lisa left it up to her whether shes comfortable being my childs neurofeedback therapist and she says no, I can be transferred to two other therapists who have 8:00 am or 9:00 am slots available.10. I make an appointment for the 8:00 time slot, which will cut into the school day. On further consideration, I reverse my decision and feel Ive spent enough time and money on this business and cancel the appointment indefinitely.Summary: shoddily-run warehouse of neurofeedback therapists that has a massive amount of potential clients and just wants to put (paying) butts in chairs. I have no experience with neurofeedback, though I hear its fantastically effective. This joint was just not a very effective place from which to receive neurofeedback therapy in my experience.

This is my second ever negative review on any platform. Like it was mentioned before, we are fighting insurance to get reimbursed. Insurance mentioned it would be covered, and then it was not. I would not recommended, as the service was a waste of time and money. The majority of their 5 star reviews have no words, which says something in itself.

I made this appointment for my son. I happily paid the $500 initial fee for brain mapping. After leaving, the technician said that I needed to schedule an appointment with a therapist in order to review the results and start therapy on the areas of weakness identified. The receptionist informed me the next appointment available to see a therapist was in 3 weeks. Unfortunately, our family was on vacation and so I asked for the next available appt. I was told there was no availability after August. I asked the receptionist why this was not disclosed when I made (and paid) for my appointment and she told me thats not what we do. These people are frauds. Stay away!

These sessions of neurofeedback procedures did not help us at all. Moreover they were very expensive. The procedure itself is less than 30 minutes considering that the therapist needs a few minutes to change the position of the electrodes on your head with that yucky glue. Be prepared, your hair will be a mess. The other 30 minutes is a waste of time. The therapist will ask you questions related to your overall feelings. Lisa Pendleton the owner of the business was raving about this type of procedure. She is just very good at selling the services of her clinic. Thats all. I should have looked more into this new technique. No wonder my insurance did not pay for it. They already figured this out.

My technician was way too young and lacked life experience to be of any practical value. Very humiliating experience for me. Great for kids and young adults, but anyone with real trauma will be disappointed. Dont waste your time.

Relax while they rip you off. WARNING: Do your due diligence. They take your insurance card at the front desk and smile. They tell you that you are safe to proceed with recovery from PTSD.HA!!! Be ready for TRIGGERS. And then deal. Just deal. No support.Be prepared to pay out of pocket b/c they will screw up the insurance and blame it on you. Relax while they rip you off.HEY: I don’t need a professional therapist to punish myself. When I asked for help with the insurance situation, I was blamed and received a sorry to see you go message from my therapist. THATs real compassion!I didnt do anything wrong except misunderstand insurance, which is something the clinic should have handled at the beginning. The Neurofeedback Clinic of NoCo knew all along that they didnt work with Humana. They took my Humana card anyway and processed the bills. Knowing the payments would be refused, they kept acting like I was a client for months until the insurance company sent the letter. All of a sudden I owe over $900 and I have NO therapeutic support whatsoever. I am dropped like a hot potato. No one is to blame. No one has answers. NO ONE IS ACCOUNTABLE.I do not trust this clinic.I do NOT recommend this clinic because its way of operating puts vulnerable people in more dangerous and more vulnerable situations than they were in before. This clinic promises healing that it cannot deliver.I wish I could trust them because the technology could be transformative in the right hands. However, they are ineffectual and even unsupportive to the point of dangerous because they are so out of touch with what their clients are really needing and experiencing. Word.

A few years ago after reading some good on-line reviews about Neurofeedback clinic , I gave this neurofeedback therapy a try. Now they put electrodes on your head with a paste, you watch a movie or show of your choice, and the volume changes from loud to soft, and the size of the picture on the screen changes as you go along. I never could understand this placebo effect until today when I came across this article about neurofeedback therapy as an expensive placebo effect, written by Christian Jarrett Ph. D. for The Psychologist magazine. For me this therapy was ineffective, noisy, annoying and the glue the therapist used for putting the electrodes on my head was a mess. I wish I had done more research before starting this expensive program.
