Great place of business!!!! I came here the customer service was great and Bret Bohler came out and help put the piece on the back of my truck it beats going to Walmart. I was in and out!!!!!!!

Corporate made a total mess of our order. But these guys at the Florence location fixed it all for us. They were great and able to organise a truck and pods for us promptly. Thank you! We would not recommend dealing with uhaul corporate as they are completely hopeless, but these guys are worth a 5 star review :)

This has been the WORST experience with UHaul i have ever had. There is ZERO communication, it is impossible to get in contact with anyone there. My stuff was scheduled to be delivered 12-4 my stuff STILL HAS NOT been delivered and can not get ahold of anyone from that location. Anyone i have talked to has said there is nothing they can do about it…

Very poor customer service not by all the team members just two of them i have never had a bad experience with uhaul until i went into this one very poor communication skills and people skills . the two people i dealt with acted like you are just there bothering them to wait on you wont let you finish explaing what the problem is or was kept interupting double zero stars for this particular uhaul company

The problems that I had at this place is unreal, very unprofessional customer service. Discrimination to the point of shedding tears. I always rented U-Haul for many years at various locations this particular location brings out the worse in the U-Haul name.

A terrible experience! I was called literally 5 min prior to picking up the truck and was told they didn’t have the truck! This was a big inconvenience and I will never rent from uhaul again! Worst experience ever!

I do not suggest storing your Pods here. Was charged $467 on September 21 for storage for the next 30 days even though our pods were scheduled to be delivered to our house September 23. Thats $467 for TWO days of storage. On top of that, they charge you another $216 to deliver your pods. Was told that they do not prorate storage. Lesson learned. Will never use U-haul again.

Went in to location to reserve A 17 ft truck.. a week ahead of time ...week later... they said they had no reservation or truck for us!! We had to drive to another location .. no 17 ft.. had to settle for 15... needless to say some things didn’t get on the truck... bad customer service.. should have offered next bigger truck... but I guess “sorry” will have to do...

Amazing experience! I was helping my brother move from Florence to North Charleston, we went to U-Haul on Irby to get a truck. We were helped by Bret with the renting, he gave us an amazing deal and even threw in a utility dolly and a furniture dolly for nothing. I also got back after hours but I had Brets number and let him know the situation. Keep in contact with your U-Haul guys, they really appreciate it. Thanks again, guys!

Rented a uhaul trailer in Ft. Myers and stopped overnight in Florence because the tire was almost flat. We drove it over to Florence Uhaul in the morning. Even though uhaul policy is to call roadside assistance and wait for them, they replaced it right there with a new tire. In 20 min we were on our way. Thank you.

Florence Location - 👎👎The service was poor unprofessional. To say the most I do not recommend this location on Irby Street in Florence to anybody. The general manager does poor documentation nd does not conduct business properly which causes me to pay more money than expected. My signature is not on anything stating that I agreed on where the gas at or how many miles I could go. Then I contacted corporate bout the issue and they saying the same thing. Please choose another branch or location in Florence or else you might become a victim of being jippd outta yo money.

Bad experience. I came in to rent a unit and was the first in line. Purchased the unit and was told to go see it and it maybe already in use!! So I go over and it was! Wall back to tell them and they put me back on a long line!!!! Needles to say I just canceled and went somewhere else!

Amazing service the two men that were there at the time were super helpful. I went with my dad and they helped us load our equipment on and even our jeep. Wish I could give 10 stars!

Florance Location- Awful service. The employees give terrible customer Service. Bad attitudes. Its a bother for them to do their job. I would not recommend this location on Irby St. I forgot my storage key at home 30 minutes before close time, the cut off lock fee is $50 which I had no problem paying. The employee told me he could not cut off the lock because it would take him 2 hours to do so & it was closing time. I kindly informed him that it was still business hours & Im a customer. 10 minutes later my lock was cut off.

Great service!I had a tow hitch installed at this U-Haul location, and my experience couldnt have been better. First, the manager, a gentleman named Troy, personally called me to set up the appointment for my installation (and, when I later requested to change said appointment, he gladly rescheduled me). Second, the business itself was clean, professional, and easy to find. Then, finally, the installation of my hitch itself was flawless, done capably, quickly, and without issue. Also, a bonus: when my hitch was being installed, the technician kindly alerted me to an unrelated problem with my van (and how to address it), thus saving me much trouble. I interacted with several employees while there, and each one was friendly and attentive.All in all, I have zero complaints about this business, and would return.My thanks goes out to all associated with this U-Haul location. I have benefited from, and am grateful for, your work and service. Keep it up, guys and gals!

Make sure you take a picture of the Mileage before you leave & after you arrive because they will try to add on Extra Mileage. (93 extra miles) When you take the photo make sure you can see U-Haul in the picture in the background because they will say how do we know that wasn’t taken at a different place. I’ve had Bad Experience at this U-Haul in Florence SC. I did 10 miles & I was charged for a Extra 93 Miles. I called the U-Haul Customer Service # & they wanted to reimburse me my $$$ back but they was stopped by the Florence office because they said I did that extra Mileage which I didn’t do because nobody can do 93 Miles in less then 1 hour & show a receipt that I picked up furniture 15 mins after getting the truck & having the truck returned all in 52 mins. I had to go to the office 3x’s All together. The 1st time, I had all the paperwork & they said ok we will return your $$$ & I didn’t receive my $$$. I called customer service & it didn’t help so I went back a few days after they said they would & because I didn’t have my paperwork & the guy just so happened to forget who I was I had to return with the paperwork again. At this time I returned the head Manager was there & he said that this isn’t fear to U-Haul so he was only going to credit me only Half of my $$$ which I put up a fight because it not fear to me the Customer who they tried to Rob $$$ from. After a few mins of Arguing I asked them to look up the Mileage of the person who returned it before me & the guy goes oooh yeah & said again I will refund you your $$$ back. This time I said I am not leaving into I get a Receipt from you saying your going to give me my $$$ back & I got a Receipt & a few Days Later I received my $$$ back ! Be careful with this U-Haul Store because they will Rob you for your $$$ !

Wonderful customer service!! I had an incident with my car and needed to tow it back with me to New Jersey. These guys were on it! They had everything ready once I arrived, and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Thank you!!

Very, very poor customer service. The staff is not friendly and they lack the personal communication skills to properly take care of customers. I rented a Uhaul and had to wait over 20 minutes to drop off the rental. This was due to literally Only One employee being staffed and that One employee has to handle EVERYTHING! The employee went back and forth outside between each customer without any communication with those standing in line. I will never rent a Uhaul from this location again due to poor staffing, lack of customer service, and the lack of managerial skills displayed by allowing this type of service and scheduling to continue.

Prepaid a rental truck for a one-way move, one week prior to our moving date. Was informed 30 minutes prior to our scheduled pickup that the pickup location was no longer in town, but had been moved half an hour south to a car dealer that very rudely told us they were closing before we could make it down to them. Were then told the only option was to drive more than an hour each way to pick up a backup truck from another county, which would have completely derailed our moving schedule and added mileage that we would likely have to pay ourselves.Throughout all of our interactions with them, the manager of the Florence location and his staff were barely apologetic, let alone professional or polite to us. The sentiment was that this was our problem that we had to deal with on our own.While the root of the problem was that a truck had not been returned to them — which I acknowledge is not their fault — not having a satisfactory solution to a family on a tight moving timeline is unacceptable. This is particularly true, given that we had prepaid the move entirely and UHaul had had our money for a week. If I pay for a truck to reserve a truck, I should be able to count on there being a truck.Thankfully, Penske was able to find us a truck at the last minute for a competitive rate and we were able to cancel the UHaul and solicit a refund from a very kind woman from the customer service line.Will not be using UHaul again and absolutely do not recommend dealing with the Florence location.

I rented a Uhaul today from the Florence SC location at 369 North Irby Street and today will be my LAST time ever renting from there! The man that came to assist me doesnt hAve any customer service skills at all and he has a very nasty attitude and dont know how to communicate professionally. He didnt have a name tag but he was the taller Caucasian man with a Red Skins football hat on. Very rude and unprofessional and I dont give my money to businesses that has these type of workers serving the public. I will not be returning back here and will also let my family and friends know to not ever go to this uhaul also.

Love is the only word I have for the staff. Its clean and easy to find.

Been there 2 times in one week, all staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.

First off I wish I could give this 0 stars. Second, NEVER rent from this location. They dont properly service their vehicles, and try to up charge you any way they can. After having a vehicle break down on me none of the employees would even help me get on the phone with roadside assistance.The ABSOLUTE WORST part about about this location is the manager Troy. Troy has no managerial skills, and instead of trying to resolve our issue decided he would rather take things outside A person with Troys demeanor does not deserve to be an employee let alone a manager. AVOID this location at all cost, even if you have to use another company or location.

The staff is really worthless, ive been waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes to answer me a question about the price on a simple stuff there, the 2 ladies working there are To busy yeah!! Too busy on their phone!!!And the old guy dont know how to work in a respectfull place as uHaul, im a good client of this company, but these persons Made a really bad customer service, they answer my question almost 2 hours of waiting with the excuse of We misundertood everythingI give you one star cause i cannot take any of those away!! Uhaul is great, but you seriously need check this store!! Please!

Had a problem with the payment. They tried to take it out twice. If you use a prepaid card I wouldnt

I was overcharged for mileage. Their ploy included checking me in outside and not being able to give me a receipt. When I went inside, I was treated rudely. One person (who had no one in their line) said they werent able to help me. The other person eventually threw the receipt at me without ever saying a word.

Fast, friendly and knowledgeable Troy was nice to us.
