I have been a member since 1984. Car loans here are the best! Great rates , great customer service. Our loan coordinator Chad is the absolute best! I’ve had four car loans here and would never go anywhere else.

We used to love this credit union! They had decent member bounces, and there $1000 loans came in handy a couple times over the years, however we are sadly leaving them for a new bank. Spouses dont have the same rights on joint accounts. I am not able to do half the things my husband can even though I am on the account. This is an issue if once splice ever needs anything when the primary account holder isnt available.

I have been with DCFU for 10+ years... Never once have I ever experienced any of the problems or complaints I have been reading. Kristin who was formally at the Hill Road location, moved to the Davison Road branch. I will follow where ever she goes. They have been prompt, fair and understanding for whatever situation I may have had. I will now and continue to keep my business at DFCU! You guys are great! Jen

I’ve only been with this bank for 1 week and it has been nothing but headaches! I regret even starting an account with this credit union. There’s a hold on funds I transfer directly to my account (which I asked before hand and they told me that wouldn’t be a problem) , there’s a hold when I try to cash a paper check (which I asked about before hand as well). I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

This institution has been a legacy to my family. Everyone has loved it in the past. I love the loan rates, 1,000 dollar loans, and the way they treat you like family. However, I have banked with 3 different banks now. Other banks have release funds way faster. My husbands check doesnt go in until Friday which is a minor inconvience. Cash apping money takes days maybe a week to see the funds in your account. It takes days where as other banks are automatic. Every time there is a little bump in the banking road which I dont mind fixing, it takes days to fix. Everytime I need to get ahold of someone on the dort phone line it always happens to be on a weekend when no one is there. Other banks have way more customer care. I am writing this now because I forgot my password and i quadruple checked the annoying 14 digit password I was given and told it was wrong 3 times. So now I I locked out of my account. But wait...its Saturday so I will be sitting here until Monday with no idea what is my account. As a family of 6 who live paycheck to paycheck. I rely heavily on the app. Please fix these things so I can keep banking here.

Terrible customer service! Never even acknowledged my deposit or that I was there. I had to push the call button after she dealt with the 2 people beside me that pulled up after I did. At that point she was just rude!

Originally went in to refinance a car and loved that they offer PLPD loans. Decided to open a checking account and the loan officer I set everything up with was very friendly.Unfortunately, there have been two really unapologetic problems that I wouldnt suggest most people overlook.The first is the unbelievably slow customer service phone number. It is a gaurentee that when you call, no matter what time it is, there will be a 30 minute wait time before getting to someone. In my head, a bank is a bank, and this bank offers anything else any other bank has to offer. So there isnt too much to judge each bank off of other than customer service and ease of banking. Unfortunately, the customer service is outrageous. Id rather go to a branch and bank there, since it would take the same amount of time anyway.The second reason is because Dort has a policy on the number of transactions you can make in a day on one debit card. I found that out today AFTER pumping gas. They said this was not something they could increase. They said this is to prevent fraud but Im pretty sure a simple dollar cap per transaction would suffice. Id much rather have to call before buying a TV rather than no access to myoney after paying 9 bills then going out to eat.Really dont recommend going here unless you use checks the old fashion way.

Been member only 5 mos. Love. This credit union so far. Only thing is on the 1st day of mo, they shoud have more than 2 tellers open. Its a very busy day. Pay day .

Literally some of the slowest people in any type of customer service. There could be 1 person in each lane and still have to wait 10 minutes. Really? Theres no excuse for this. After being a member for 14 years, I couldnt stand it anymore. I switched to a different credit union and Im in and out even with a long line. Go here if you have the patience to wait an eternity.

Been with Dort for many years inquired about a mortgage loan was told credit scores were Good will refinance at a lower rate DA DA DA 6 weeks go by after submitting all the work no word, called to check status loan officer fenton branch had no clue misplaced the paper work so went for a home equity loan change things up again misplaced emails never sent paper work after 3 weeks inquired again oops never forward emails called hill road office talked to R*** the assistant manager assured me he would get me some answers still waiting for the call back however if you need auto loan there fine for that, when it comes to the big money loans there really not set up for that if it was not for the tellers branch i personal I would take my businesses else were the loan Dept is sub par at best

Not sure why when theres less the 5 people waiting it still takes 40 minutes at the flint location. But I love the grand blanc one. They arr always on top of it. Glad I always plan to come to the banj an hour before work just to be safe cause I always need the extra time at this one.

Before you decide to open an account with them do yourself a favor and call into member services...For the last couple of years I havent waited less than 10 minutes and its typically 20-30. Ive been a member here for more than 10 years and it wasnt always like this. I was told a year ago they were working on this and to give them another chance...take your money elsewhere where they value your time!

My Husband has been banking here for over 20 years and myself at least 5 years. We never tried to get a loan or anything through them but when we did it was a horrible experience and we will be taking our business elsewhere because of this. It took 2 weeks for them to tell us they would not approve us for a loan, we went to a different credit union we didnt even belong to and had it in a couple days. We could never get a hold of the person handling our case, we called multiple times a day just trying to reach her and when we spoke to another person they could not help us either stating we had to deal with the person that started our application or we would have to start from the beginning. This was a total waste of time and set us back weeks on our purchase!

Not happy one bit. (5) Year member, Finally taking my business elsewhere.Opened a Chase account (2) months ago, absolutely no issues thus far.***1) They have constant app and mobile site issues; As well as ATM (or debit card itself)2) They have now begun charging customers .75 cents per transaction if you use atm more than (6) times a month.3) They hold checks for days pending the amount you have in your account.4) Their hold times are outrageous (during normal hours 10am-4pm), if you even get through at all5) Their mobile site/desktop site absolutely sucks compared to their competitors. No mobile check deposit accessibility, Limited account information; EXTREMELY LIMITED (compared to Chase Bank and Elga Credit Union)- as in you can only see your statement.

Too many fees for everything. I even get charged $3.00 check cashing fee on a $50.00 check when I have over double the amount in my account. When cashing or even just depositing large checks they hold them for way too many days. I was a member for over 30 years. Decided to take my business elsewhere.

This has been the absolute worst bank other than Elga credit union, if that is at all possible. My boyfriend and I have had a joint account for over 2 years, and it has been nothing but endless issues. For one, the joint account does not allow each person full access to the account, which is absurd. We needed our money to be in one trusted place, however if you are the additional person on the account it is a HUGE hassle to access online banking. We have asked many times for both of us to have equal access to the account, however, they have so many restrictions that it is not possible.Not to mention the ATMs are down 90% of the time, or they have some type of restriction. You cant even deposit checks via ATM because the server is down, but has been down for MONTHS (if not longer).When I needed my full account number they gave me my member ID, but had no clue what an account number was...lol. I had to tell them I needed the numbers that would be on the bottom of a check. After that they proceeded to tell me that you would just add a bunch of zeros on to the member ID. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THEY DONT HAVE ACCOUNT NUMBERS. Not to mention when I went to ask them to send a fax to verify my account with my CC company, they had no idea what to do. The managers Ive spoken with have been incredibly uninformed, condescending and unintelligent.Whenever I go in they always tell me how I look young/question if I actually have an account there...it is incredibly unprofessional to comment that someone looks too young. I am at the bank with Identification, im not buying liquor.They have been of no help whatsoever at any point where we have tried to address our issues, and we have been banking with them for too long. We are switching to Chase, as im sure they will handle our business much better. The list of issues weve at Dort Federal goes on for miles, I would not recommend banking with them.*NOT to mention their customer service WILL hang up on you & no one will ever call you back when you ask for a manager.

They came and stole my sisters car in the middle of the night because of my mothers debt. They knew they were wrong to take it and did return it within 24 hours, but the car came back with a huge dent in the fender and the company they hired drove the car back instead of towing it. My sister notified Dort Federal the same day the car was returned to report the damage. She was told to get estimates and now we have been fighting with them for 3 months to get them to pay for repairs.
