Homco is great! They have many brands HD doesn’t have, including hilti and festool. An abundance of specialty fasteners can be found. The selection of lumber isn’t the best. Mike in paint is really helpful. As is Makita in tools. Cookies and popcorn at the door are a nice touch.However…everyone should understand that ‘most’ used tools CANNOT be returned. Even if they are a 180 money back guarantee… Associates at the register should explain that to every single person that purchases a power tool.

I was working on a project that presented an unusual problem and couldn’t figure out how to make it work. The very helpful person in the hardware department provided me with a solution and carefully chose all the parts I needed for the job. And it all worked! Thank you HomCo and the great staff at this great place.

Worst customer service ever. I was trying to order $1000 on landscaping stone, but because it was 20min till close they wouldn’t let me look at it. I got “well someone could go out there with you, but……”. But we don’t want to because it’s 5:40 is what he was too afraid to say. So I left and got the stone elsewhere. The best thing I can say is they are not as bad as Home Depot, but it’s close.

HomCo is s locally owned with all the products that the other chain stores offer, except for plants and gardening. Wherever youre at in the store, a helpful, knowledgeable associate is available. Nice to be greeted at the door with cookies and coffee.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful - you never have to try and find someone, they come to you and know where everything is! Huge selection, great place to just wander around and get a feel for all the categories of things they have - much more than the big box stores.

I have started going to this store again, this location is a little out of my way, but worth it. There is always someone available to assist and staff asks often if there is anything they can help with. Also, I can find certain parts I need, that I cant find at other stores. Thanks to all the friendly staff!

The first thing anyone should pay attention in this store are the employees. Overall they are one of the most helpful and knowledgeable group of folks to be found. The store carries pretty much everything you could need from a home supply/hardware store. I was there to replace a broken snowblower and the experience was so much better than I experienced just trying to get a price at nationwide store by the mall. These guys will now be my go to for any home and hardware needs I have.

I thought HomeCo was a good place so I went there to make my purchase of kerosene, I picked out four 5 gallon cans for purchase and proceeded to the register. I asked them if they do price matching and they said yes definitely so I informed them that tractor supply had five gallons of kerosene for 34.99 instead of their 54.99 price. The guy came over and looked at the kerosene and said it has to be the same exact brand of kerosene, what a total lie five gallons of kerosene is five gallons of kerosene so HomeCo does not price match, beware of these liars, never going back there again.

Always greeted at the door, usually have popcorn (and sometimes cookies) to keep you sustained as you search through the comprehensive inventory. Best part, though? That search will be short, because everyone in the store seems to genuinely want to help you find what youre looking for...even when you come in there with a vague idea of some task you want to fulfill, rather than a specific part.

Ordered a simple screen door three weeks ago and was told it would be in on a specific date. Called and confirmed the week prior and was told it was still on schedule. I drove from Tucson to Flagstaff to pickup the door on the scheduled date. Called that morning to confirm. When I got to the store, they said sorry, we didnt actually order it. Wont be back.

These guys are amazing! Needed some solid advice on a snowblower and not only did Dustin give me a thorough breakdown for my personal needs but he obviously has extensive first-hand knowledge on their machines as well as explaining their service center and warrantee to me. I don’t have a truck so Dustin offered to deliver it to me in person and walk me through how to operate in my own driveway. He’s pretty much a rockstar and deserves a raise;) in an economy where service is a dying art Honeco still has it nailed!

Employees reward non mask wearing customers by waiting on said customers. Of curse this rewards bad behavior. Mask wearing in public spaces is mandated by City of Flagstaff due to Covid 19. Stay away from the store if you dont want to increase your chances of catching the virus.

Good selection and friendly staff! Prices are significantly higher than the chain hardware stores. Dont mind paying a little bit more but they seemed a lot higher at least for the items I looked at.

I went to this store. They didnt have what I was looking for. I prefer to go to Ace Hardware and that is where I usually buy my needs for stove materials. They dont have Ace Hardware in Flagstaff.

I love shopping at HomCo! They have a greeter as soon as you walk in that points you to wherever in the store you need to go. They have fresh popcorn (pre and hopefully post Covid). Their prices and inventory are very competitive. And they hold community events, including workshops and ladies night. Always my first choice!

We always have a good experience at Homeco, but this time Evan in paint did so much extra for us, I needed to say something. We even drug in our own buckets of paint that he strained and poured into gallon cans. He made a match of paint that couldnt be saved. Everything we needed and more. Then I got my veterans discount. Thats why I shop at HomeCo.

This is a store for home owners, not contractors. Despite their large yard of building materials, when I have ordered lumber, they send all their warped, twisted, split lumber. Inside the store, their electrical supplies are VERY limited, and what they do have is in very low volume. And perhaps most annoying, is in this time of covid, despite signs saying masks required, there are several employees who do not wear masks, and many customers allowed to wander around without masks as well.

If you like Home Depot but want to shop local this is your place

As an ex vendor rep, Ive experienced 400+ hardware stores in the US and 50+ Home Depots. Homco is by far the best store of every single one Ive been to. Mike and Penny are incredibly strong leaders and the sales team are all incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Awesome local hardware store. Lots of inventory and have pretty much everything you need. Prices are competitive. Our company, Monet Construction, comes here often to pick up all kinds of different materials. They even have clothing. Really good paint section too. Free coffee in the morning at front door. My experience at HomCo was great. There were great help in every department. I like that they had coffee and popcorn at the front door. I happen to have been there when the system had been down last week unfortunately. I hope they fixed that, but I have to say that the young lady at the service counter that day, Jamie, was so nice. She must have been the most polite, has a great smile, and was willing to help even though there were customers in line that were not happy that transactions were taking so long. But Jaime was nice and patient and I wish we had more of her in customer service. Thank you Homco

Every time I visit HOMCO I am so impressed with how knowledgeable everyone is. This is NOT your big box store! Its the hardware store with more: more service, more selection, more choices, more expertise, and more community support.As a charity auctioneer there have been so many events where HOMCO not only donated cool merchandise for the event, they donated top of the line items that brought good money.As a business owner something always need fixing! HOMCO is my first choice every time, because in a matter of seconds an employee is going to ask what I need and take me right to it. Then tell me how to use it.I also like some of the funky country stuff, Carhart gear, and popcorn when its not COVID season; and that greeter at the door is so cute I keep coming back to get another look.

I love coming to this store. They are very helpful in all areas. I went in for some very specific hardware items and other things, when I got there Jaime was very knowledgeable of that department and found me what I needed. Not only that! She helped me find my whole list of items that were located around the store and even cut my keys for me and had answers for all my questions. If the manager ever sees this, she needs a raise and promotion. She is great!

Working with the Homco team and Frankie Stubbs in particular made our complete home renovation a great success. She was responsive to our design needs and improved upon what we had come up with initially. She was on site for the critical moments such as the day the cabinets went up and the installation of the gorgeous granite counters. Her insight in to the installation process and her follow up were essential to the success of our project. Her communication skills made the process easy and enjoyable. She worked with suppliers to ensure delivery and our main contractor Dan Vanderlip to carry the work along. This was a whole house renovation, from the supports holding up the structure and the flooring, to the fine tuning on plumbing, electrical, and the final finishes. My wife and I would like to thank Frankie, Hector and the whole Homco team!

A true old school experience. Greeters with beverages and cookies. No abhorrent orange everywhere. Floor personnel who ask to assist you, and escort you to the areas you need. No hassle checkout. They offer a 10% veteran discount and veteran parking. Were appreciative. Compared to the national competitor, Ill stick to local.

This was the best experience Ive had a hardware store, maybe any store in general. Associates were easy to find for help and took ample amounts of time with me to figure out exactly what I needed. I had someone cutting lumber for me, one finding the right lag screws, and one who was out of his department, but was able to direct his coworkers who were most knowledgeable over to me. I will definitely be coming back. Im glad I never have to step foot in Home Depot again.

Tried to support local business. Forgot my mask, they sold me a paper, one time use mask for $3.50. price gouging at its finest. Will not support this business again.

Professional Team who are always helpful every time, starting with the team member who greets you at the door. Used their chimney sweep service recently. Mike and Joe showed up on time and went above and beyond to be sure everything was done well and offer advice on some needed maintenance. Shopping local does make a difference in community. HomCo has continued to earn my business.

Theyre awesome! The sales staff is knowledgeable, always helpful, and pleasant. More importantly, they dont duck and hide if they see you wandering around with a bewildered look on your face. Instead, they approach you and ask if you need help. (What a concept!) Plus, the store is bright and clean, sporting a terrific hometown flavor. And their free homemade cookies and popcorn are wonderful : )

It was okay but I dont like being stereotypical and feeling like staff kept their eyes on me for no reason. Ive been to that location plenty of times and I have experienced such.......Unpleasantness....But overall, prices are a little higher than anyone would want, and its just that. Good store though, and good staff that knows what a customer is.
