EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Quichard made our first time renting a Pleasant and Easy Experience . She gave us great advice on the size of Truck we would need and availability of a Dolly for moving appliances . With her Kind and informative customer service , we highly suggest to use this place . This place was amazing and very accommodating! The people were pleasant and helped us find not only one unit but two units that are across from each other. I would recommend this place to anyone! The units were also very clean and easy to access! Im very happy with my storage units and this company.

Update 11 Nov 2019: Was contacted by Uhaul Corporate to let me know that theyve been looking into this issue. Sometimes other customers dont follow the rules, and Im glad that Uhaul was able to reach out to me.Original:I always rent from here because theyre efficient and have after hours drop off. This time, however, the entire lot was filled with vans blocking access to the gate. If you give your customers the gate code so they can drop off after hours, they are relying on being able to do that. Now I have to miss part of work to drop it off during business hours. Seems like management doesnt care.

I have had a unit at (originally Grand Central Storage) Five Star for about 7 years. Thru out that time I have found the staff (at all times) to be courteous, friendly and willing to help with any problems with my unit.But, I have NOT had any trouble with my unit yet the staff is still friendly and courteous. I do NOT have any intention of moving. Thanks Five Star !

Our charity has rented a storage unit at this location for more than 10 years. Sadly, about four years ago, the business was sold and new management took over. Its been a nightmare ever since. They cant correctly bill their customers, then they refuse to fix the problem when its brought to their attention. When you email with them, they refuse to sign their name to the email so they can skirt accountability and say, I dont know who wrote that to you from their own email account. We have asked for the name of the manager so we can schedule an in-person meeting to resolve the billing issue and they refuse to respond at all. Today, we had to get into our unit but the gate keypad isnt working. So we called to ask them to manually open the gate, but of course no one answers the phone and when you choose the recorded option to speak with the on-site employee, you get a message asking for your pin code to login to a voice mail account. So not only are they completely incompetent at running the business, they cant even correctly set-up their phone system. Save yourself a major headache and take your business elsewhere. We will be.

Ive been using this storage facility for about 10 years for our business and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and helpful and would do anything you ask of them. I defiantly recommend them for all your storage needs.

Looked like a clean place, convenient location, but rest assured they do not honor their commitment to price match. Showed them several price comparisons of competitor units, they would barely look at the print out and wouldnt budge on their over inflated prices. Dont waste your time.

I was charged an extra day for a rental when it was returned on the same day as pick up. I have called several times to have them return the charges and they have not. I have called U haul to have the charges returned and now I am in a circle of calling Uhaul and then five star storage. This is my complaint number 1139096- .. 24 to 48 hours to refund it. Still waiting..

I’ve had a wine locker for 10+ years, security system constantly locks me out. Only open 3 hours on the weekend. Very poorly run business since it was acquired by Five Star.

Returned something, they gave me a receipt, seemed off so I wanted to confirm I would get the refund, they told me it could take up to a week. A month later, called my bank, they informed me that this business I never issued me a refund. Shady

I have had a unit at five star about a year or longer. I live on next block from storage facility so I have to drive right past office every day several times a day. On many occasions lately I have noticed the security gate being in open position I thought this to be odd because your paying for security not a wide open facility. I thought well its during buisness hours so someone is there to keep an eye on it but still didnt care for it . Also over the last year I have noticed gate open after hours so I call after hours number speed to answering service tell them gate is open I assume they send someone to close it because it gets closed no big deal . Well on Christmas morning I leave and gate is open and office is closed but there is car in lot so I figure employee must be there so I go on later that evening I return gate still open I pull in try to enter my code maybe gate will close no such luck so I call number this time no service it goes to answering machine or voice-mail it says to contact them send email so I did gave my name and number and told them gate wont close . I am trying to be nice and help out I mean my stuff is there too. That was Sunday, Friday after I get call back saying there returning my call and email. I said wow a week later I explained gate was stuck open she says well it was closed when she came in Monday. I said well it was open all day and night I went out several times it was stuck open ,she got kinda irritated and and pissy on phone I said hey I am not pointing fingers like it was your fault just saying it was up . She then says they have an older gentleman who is employee who lives only couple streets away he didnt see it up . I again said I am not blaming or complaining just trying to help out I tried service there wasnt one only voice mail. I asked why was there no service she really didnt answer that but went on to say even if it was open we spend thousands on cameras so it was secure and she was still being nasty now I am getting pissed I say why is gate open during week we pay for security she is still being pissy with me I said have corporate call me . I called another location asked for corporate number she ask what problem is I said not with your site just want to speak to corporate she is now getting pissy also I was being nice also but she says WERE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT CORPORATES NUMBER now I am getting pissed off even more so I call another location. Very nice gentlemen answers I tell him I need corporate number he says were not allowed to give that number out but I can give you Michigans district managers number I said that would be great he also says his office is at another property in Ann Arbor. So I call cell number goes to voice-mail then I call site very nice lady there answers I ask for district manager she says on other line can I have him call you back I figure I am leaving house soon I ask to wait on hold for few min she put me on hold then returns says he is still on call I gave her my number and thanked her. About 30 to 45 min later I get call from district manager William I think Matthew Attwood that was name I was given earlier. I tell him all that transpired basically saying I was trying to help by calling to notify gat was up now he is being pissy I told him yes at first I was trying to be nice but she was not nice to me then I got not nice and started complaining about gate always up I said but I told the girl it was not directed at her. So he says well we record all calls I said good then go back and listen to tape see how she acted toward me . He then says I am gonna lay out the options for you no one the gate will be open during buisness hours and it is gonna remain that way. Two if I am unhappy with that I can move my stuff out . Now I am really angry I said I will locate a new storage facility and notify him when I have found one . He then goes on to say you have till the 5th of January to be out ,I said so your telling me I have to be out like your kicking me out he said yes you need to vacate by 5th . What kind of company does this???
