I decided on the Riccar R25 series Premium Pet. Got it home and put it to the test and it work phenomenal on my floors. It got most of the embedded hair out of my carpets! I am extremely satisfied with my purchase also my experience at the store. I received great service and was offered many choices in the type of vacuum cleaner I was looking for. Faribault vacuum & sewing center really values their customers and will do whatever they can to make sure their customers are happy. Jeremy is amazing - he has installed two central vacuums for me in the space of five years.A central vacuum is the best thing I have ever purchased - it makes vacuuming so much easier - no more lugging a heavy/hot vacuum around and emptying the bag/receptacle. All you need is a wand which is so easy to maneuver and the suction is so much stronger than a regular vacuum. I used to dread emptying my vacuum receptacle every two weeks but with a central vacuum- I only need to change the bag every 9 months. Central vacuums are also more gentle on hardwood and tile floors compared to a vacuum that has wheels and rotating brush heads.I have Jeremy on speed dial just in case I move again as I now cannot live without a central vacuum. He is the second person I would call if I were moving (after my realtor).Faribault vacuum also offers exceptional service and knowledge. Jeremy works with your budget and house design to find the best system for you - no challenge (whether it’s a small older style house or a custom build modern house) is too big for Jeremy. I went in to drop off my sewing machine, and a woman came in after me. The unhappy man behind the counter helped her first - not sure why. Turns out she has a cleaning business, and this shop had taken a vacuum of hers in for service then given her back a machine that wasn’t hers. I probably should have walked out at that point. Eventually the unhappy man took my machine and filled out minimal paperwork, giving me just a little slip of a receipt ... worry some.A month later I picked up my machine, got it home and discovered that the power cord was missing. Called the shop, left a message. Two days and no reply so called again and left another message. No response so a few days later called again and got a real person who said he’d call me back. It’s been almost a week and no one has called me.I prefer to support small town and local businesses, but come on. They have to support the customer. Probably not going back to this store.Edit: Thank you for responding to this review, and sorry it took this to get a response. I’ll look forward to receiving a power cord.

I am not much for Google reviews but after the service I received here I really felt like I had to publish it. Jeremy and his whole staff were amazing. We have a unique situation that required a very durable vacuum. Upon calling I was met with great customer service all the way through the process. I even had a technician bring the vacuum to my home to help set it up and show me all the features. I would highly recommend using these people for anyone who needs a vacuum. The staff was not pushy they listened to what my needs were and what I required in a vacuum. Upon hearing this they gave me options in my budget. It was nice walking into this store and not be pressured into buying anything. The employees were friendly and willing to answer any questions. We spent nearly an hour getting educated about vacuum cleaners. We purchased a Miela Complete C3 HomeCare, and we absolutely love it.

Very fast service for maintenance on my Kenmore sewing machine.5/29/20-- Decided to purchase an additional, yet newer machine. Great demonstration on several machines. I gave my price range and there was zero pressure to spend more. I would refer anyone who needs a sewing machine or vacuum machine, to visit.

I purchased a janome sewing machine today. Jeremy was very informative and walked me through how to use the machine while practicing social distancing. Fast and friendly service. And I feel that they will be great support if I run into issues because they truly know their products.

Great customer service! Bought a factory reconditioned vacuum with a 1-year warranty for less than the cost (reasonable) of fixing my current machine. Definitely worth the drive. Nice people, too, who give you chocolate!

Do not use for sewing machine cleaning/ refurbishment! Wanted way too much for it ($129) and when we changed our mind wouldn’t return the $20 deposit. None of this was explained ahead of time. Lost a long time customer.

Excellent service! I need a light, self propelled vacuum due to physical limitations and really liked one of the dual motor Rakar models after trying it out in the shop. They were kind enough to loaded it in my car but when I unloaded it at home it was way too heavy for me. I have a second level in my home and would need to carry it upstairs so I immediately regretted not physically picking it up before making my purchase.Andrew was very understanding when I called to explain the situation and I was able to return it for a much lighter model which I absolutely love.

Wonderful place of business. I bought a Simplicity vacuum about a year and a half ago, and brought it in to be repaired under warranty, and ended up buying a 2nd vacuum for my other home. Good products and great service! I will only shop with Chavis!

I stopped in to get cleaner for a new vacuum that was not purchased there hey didnt judge just there to help anyway you need them. Its so refreshing to feel like people really know who you are. Mr. Chavis was very professional and up front about the repair of my 45 yr old Kenmore sewing machine. I did not feel pressured into buying a new machine. It was the most sensible decision. I chose the basic Janome machine and there was no pressure to buy one better. I am thankful that there is still a local dealer to rely on.

5☆ Service year over year.So I dropped my vacuum off yesterday, for annual check-up and a small repair. It was estimated to be ready middle of next week, and I was good with that. To my surprise, they called me today to let me know that it was completed! I usually dont do reviews online...however, I could not pass up the opportunity to do so today.I went into the Burnsville shop, with a vacuum for a belt change.I was literally greeted at the door with a welcoming smile from Jim and Bill (right at opening time) lol.Just from me giving small talk about my use of the vacuum and whats been going on with it, Jim pretty much knew what to really look for BEYOND what I thought was only the belt, before even opening it up..lolThere were other things wrong beyond the belt which he saw that were quick fixes.It took him less than five minuets to fix my entire vacuum. This saved me a long commute to Stillwater where I would have had to bring it to from Burnsville. Now, it picks up as if its brand new again.I also purchased some fresh wave vacuum beads they smell so good.I do some cleaning at a Elerderly persons home, I will now leave this vacuum there, because Ive got my eyes on one that was tested out at the Shop, that I MUST HAVE.
