If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They gave me a quote for the tree trimming knowing the main reason I was trimming the tree was to remove the dead branches that were falling on my neighbors side. They came and trimmed the tree, however, didn’t trim anything on my neighbors side. Then charged my neighbor in addition to what they charged me to trim the tree. This company essentially double dipped to make an extra buck. One week after they came to trim the tree I found out from the city forestry department, that the entire tree must be removed because it had contract elms disease after the trimming was complete. I contacted other tree professionals and they all stated they would have never trimmed an elm tree in the Summer time. You would think a professional tree service would know the seasons that trimming specific trees is appropriate based on the tree, but not Bears tree service clearly. Because of this company’s lack of knowledge not only did I get to pay to trim the tree, and not only did my neighbor also got billed for trimming the tree, but I also got stuck with the bill of removing the tree entirely. I am staying far away from this company as possible and I will be telling everyone to explore every other option rather than contract them. This is my review after they have rendered their services to me and refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

He said he going to come do job 3 times but never showed up and never called!

The company did an excellent job of trimming trees and taking down a couple of trees. The crew cleaned up the yard nicely, too. Very nice to work with.

Ima just leave this here cause my number is very close to the number for this tree removal service and it’s starting to piss me off getting calls to take someone’s stump out

Bear came out and gave us a quote on removing 3 trees in June. Set for removal in mid-July. We never heard a word. After trying numerous times to contact him at 2 different numbers, the voicemail box was full. I emailed in mid-August and got no reply. Assuming he is out of business? A phone call to say he could not remove the trees would have been nice. We started the search all over and now have someone lined up to come mid-October.

Bear was fast to respond to my voicemail. He quickly had an estimate which was much less than a few other places that I had called. He had a tree that was split in half and dead and 3 bushes in the corner of my yard removed by early the next week. He even ground the roots out and picked up the mess. Great work, not damage to the lawn or anything else and left a clean site and very friendly to boot. Cant ask for more than that. Would definitely recommend him to others.

Bear is professional and hard-working. His crew took good care of the site and cleaned up afterwords. Their rates were very competitive and their schedule cant be beat.

I called Bear’s Tree Service to come out to a commercial project that my company was working on. We needed several large pine trees removed in order to demo the building. Bear’s set up a time to meet at the job site and talk details and price. I waited there for 3 hours. Typically I would never wait this long on somebody but every time I called, they insisted that they were “On the way” or “right down the street.” Then finally (was well after 5:00 PM at this point) the guy picks up his phone claiming that he was there and had left. It was a well know building on a local university campus. There is no way I missed him as school was not in session. I was the only person in the general region of that campus. They will never get a call from our company again. Would rate 0/5 if it were possible.

Always quick and tidy! Very fair rates. Bear saved my roof after a storm a couple of years back!! Call him!!
