I will say. It’s not that bad especially if you like to hike like me. But the caves are block out. Or they never existed[see my pictures for the details.]. It’s a very bit mountain so you can walk as long as you want without crossing a part twice.

Grimes point is a very fun activity. The cave loop is about an hour with kids. If you want to go inside the Hidden Cave you do need to go on one of the monthly tours hosted by the Churchill County Museum.

Our tour guide was a wealth of information. Very patient. I recommend Joe Allen and Hidden Cave for at least six stars.

The Hidden Cave Trail system is a great short loop trail with some cool rock formations, caves, and scenery. There are tours for the main cave which are free, but only every other week on specific days. Still worth a visit if in the area.

Short hike with great historical significance. The Hidden Cave showed us what an actual dig was like and how it was set up.

No shade outside of the caves but the view totally makes up for it.

Take trail on right that rises to the summit for great views. Good picnic spot. Numerous caves along the walls are open but access to Hidden Cave is locked due to vandals. BLM arranges guided tours. Many interesting rock features & colorful lichen. Banks of calcified algae overhead define the previous water line of the ancient Lake Lahontan. Informative trail markers. These sandy trails can be slippery, advise wearing hiking boots. We stopped for a leisurely stroll through the Petroglyph Park on our way back to the highway.

Pretty cool place to check out. Check when the tours are given and you can go inside the caves. Otherwise they are closed to the public.

Good hiking place and great views. Access to Hidden Cave was not possible due to locked access. This was not mentioned at the registration and information board that they have near the parking area. This was disappointing after hiking all the way up to the cave. Other smaller shallow caves in the area were ok.

This location is just what it says. If you dont go on the specific days then you cant go into the one cave they do have unless these other caves are actually hidden. I ended up hiking 3 or 4 miles around the area and didnt find a single cave. Good waste of time. If it wasnt for the view Id give one star.

Its a good little hike near Fallon. Access to the cave is limited to the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, so if you go, know that you can only hike the trails.
