I have followed this rescue for years. They file all the proper paperwork and have up to date licensing.They properly vet their dogs. And diligently work to make sure the adoptive home is the right home for the dog.

I adopted a 5 month old puppy last week through Gateway 4 Paws. I have to say... best experience ever! I did not know what to expect when adopting a dog but Gateway 4 Paws made the process simple and comfortable. My puppy’s foster took amazing care of him: he is up to date on all medical needs, he has been crate trained and almost completely potty trained, and he is as sweet as can be! I could not be happier. Thank you Gateway 4 Paws for the work you do and for blessing me with my new best friend!

If I could give zero stars I would. Something is definitely wrong with this rescue. What they charge for a dog is absolutely wrong on so many levels. They need to be reported. If I had to guess they work with breeders and puppy mills. Which is sad. They are only concerned about making money and not the welfare of the dogs. Be careful

I adopted both of my dogs from Gateway4paws. The dogs were rescued from puppy mills. One was one of an entire litter surrendered and the other was gotten at an auction because he and his sister had areas where hair was missing. All rescues are kept in foster homes until they approve applications. The application was thorough, but did not include a home visit which I would have liked. They made sure the dogs were up to date on shots and neutered. I will let you know that some health problems developed later. Sawyer, my lhasapoo, has dry eyes which requires special eye drops. Finn, my cavalier, needed two knee surgeries because his knee caps went in and out of place. These developed long after I had adopted them. I do not blame Gateway4paws for these health issues. They are rescuing these pups from puppy mills, so who knows what type of breeding is going on. I will tell you that they gave me the two loves of my life. I can’t imagine going through this pandemic without them. I wasn’t looking for perfect dogs just dogs that were perfect for me.
