Excellent service repairing a Craftsman weed wacker. Diagnosed and fixed a problem that nobody I talked to prior to taking it in for repair even thought of. A no frills place, reminded me of places I grew up around. Really nice people who take the time to talk and listen to you. Unit was in and out in a day....never had that kind of turn around anywhere else in Daphne. Very reasonable price compared to other places Ive used. Give them a try.

Big John’s has worked on all of our family’s lawn equipment for over 15 years. Ronnie is an honest, fair, true professional. We can always count on him to do a great job. I would recommend them to anyone in need of small engine repair.

I have an older model riding lawn mower that needed some minor repairs. The mower was having difficulty starting but was showing the battery to have a full charge. Big Johns came highly recommended by coworkers. I brought the mower to them to have it repaired and serviced. A week and a half later I was able to pick it up. It started right up and was loaded onto the trailer. Upon getting it home it would not crank. I decided to go to autozone to purchase a battery. After placing the new battery in it started right up. So they never even checked to tell that the battery had a dead cell. A week later the drive belt broke. Clearly the mower was not properly serviced to notice belts were worn. I brought the mower back in. It took two weeks because they told me that they had to order the parts. At this point it was winter and there was no need for me to cut my grass. I just recently pulled in out of the shed and they belt just broke. I took it to another business and was informed that the newly replaced belts were all dry rotted. The oil was black and the air filter was a model meant for a vehicle, not a mower. I would not recommend this business.

Big John did an excellent job getting my old mower back into running shape. It was a used mower to begin with and after 18 years of just oil changes and occasional maintenance, it started running bad. Big John had it running top notch in no time once again! Maybe for another 18 years. What can I say, Im cheap!

Just wanting locals to know that I have been a long time firewood client until I got taken in with my lawn mower. I dropped it off to Robby and told him what it needed. I just had used it the day before. It needed a new blade, oil, filter. A basic tune up. There was a slight noise. He charged me after he told me that they transmission was about to go out. If that was so, how did I use it the day before. I got it home and turned it on. It was so loud that I can not use it.Did you need the 65.00 that bad Robby ?I will never be back for firewood and make sure I tell all my lady friends how you do business.

Friend had mower in for tune up and new blade, the proper way to do it would be to start engine and check it out first, and if there was a problem, notify the lady lady of the issue and give her the option of having the problem fixed, instead of going ahead and putting the new blade on and charging her $65 dollars and returning basically a useless self propelled mower to a lady on disability, that has bought many a load of firewood over the years, and to top it off wont even pick up the phone and speak to her, not the way to treat a long time customer.
