First time there this past Sunday. My wife surprise me with skates for my birthday but got the wrong size. Bobby greeted me and was very helpful. He sized me up great. He baked them for me, while we were waiting we check out some sticks. He was very knowledgeable with everything. I didn’t buy the stick in store but I ordered it the next day. When you go ask for Bobby, great guy to work with.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Selection of items good. Only down side is they dont keep goalie stuff in Stock so you have to order. This means if you buy skates you have to go there to try on, order, wait 2 days go back for bake and sharpen. A real pain.

It was my first time here. I dug up my old gear and realized its time for a much needed upgrade. This is the closest shop to me. Right off the bat Vito came to my aid and helped me out through all the steps. I was looking for new skates and we 3D scanned my feet and suggested insoles with high arches. I already had my eye on a pair of skates so that was the easy part. we got a great fit, and even better with the new insole. We baked the skate to heat mold to my feet so I didnt have to do it at home with a hair dryer. Over all Im definitely coming back to upgrade the rest of my gear and Im glad theres a brick and mortar hockey shop I can go to physically because I rather do it in person than online.

This place really is awesome I have gotten all of my stakes here and if you buy it from the store the first skate sharpening is free! There is also online shopping. All of the employees are super nice and have great advice I can recommend this place to you and everyone else. The only thing is that the skate guards are a little pricey. thanks to you all.

The outstanding Google reviews led me here on a Saturday morning, and Pure Hockey in Fairfield, NJ, did not disappoint. My wife, son, and I were interested in taking up ice skating, an appropriately outdoor sport in this unfortunate era of Covid-19. Jon, an avid ice hockey player himself, had all of us fitted with a 3D scan of our feet, and graciously selected a variety of ice skates for us to try. After patiently matching all three of us (including one fidgety toddler) to our respective perfect ice skates, Jon had the blades sharpened while we ventured out for a quick bite for lunch. We left the store with 2 Bauers, 1 CCM, and three smiles. Pure Hockey in Fairfield, NJ, has unequivocally demonstrated that online retailers cannot replace brick-and-mortar stores, and my wonderful experience with Jon is what will most certainly bring me back here, as we progress in the sport. Highly recommend.

We found Pure Hockey after visiting many other stores. John was extremely helpful in showing us the exact equipment we needed. He also went above and beyond making sure the fit was correct for my sons. Extremely happy that we found this place for all of our hockey needs. Besides equipment they offer skate blade sharpening, NHL jerseys, hockey trading cards, etc. The store is very impressive but the service was even better.

Best place for all things hockey in New Jersey. They have the best prices, and they have all the best equipment. There is no place I would rather trust. They also do skate sharpening and do work on inline skates too. They also carry hockey merchandise, like jerseys and shirts and hats for all the local pro teams. If it has ANYTHING to do with hockey they have it here and at a good price

Great store and great service. The staff helped my sons get fitted for skates and then baked and sharpened them. We also bought a new helmet and they adjusted that also. Its great to know all the equipment is ready to go for practice.

Being from the NYC, this place blew my mind. Wall to wall equipment. We went for goalie equipment. The one salesperson knew is stuff and helped us try things on and was honest when it was not working. The prices are good, and I would go back.

I was hoping to purchase a pair of Nexus 7000 skates but I walked around the store for 15 minutes trying to find an employee without any luck. If not for the Employee Only sign on the stockroom door, I would have gone in, found the skates I was looking for, fit and baked them myself. If youre looking for a service oriented pro-shop, this is not the place to go.

Staff is somewhat friendly but, overly busy. Bought a pair of skates and waited for about 40 minutes to get them sharpened because they were so understaffed. The poor guy at the counter was answering the phone, looking for items in the store, sharpening skates etc.. the young lady who helped with the skates was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. The guy(s) at the front where simply overwhelmed.

Best hockey store in northern Jersey. A very knowledgeable staff

I loved it here. I needed supplies and gear for my roller hockey season, and in about 5 minutes they hooked me up with everything needed. Definitely recommend this place if you need pads, wax, or anything for hockey. They fit you, and do everything for you.

Great place for hockey gear.Bad place if you are a person of color. The two folks working the registers made me feel like my business is not as important as their white clients.Also, having one register that only takes card does not make sense. Please, open two registers that take card and cash. Thank you.
