Wish I could give zero stars. Teach this service a lesson for children’s sake and use a different agency. The private process server, Sam Chism, made an inhumane decision to serve me documents while dropping off my children during a custody exchange to their dads house. He came to my car with my 8 and 11-year-old daughters in the car to deliver court documents. My children were so afraid and just the night before they were crying because they’re upset by the affect of the courts ruling on their lives. I’d calmed them the night prior and here he comes to our car just as we pulled up. I kindly told the private process server, Sam Chism, to step aside while my children get out of the car -this is an inappropriate setting. He told me my ex-husband’s attorney John Bauserman recommended that he serve the documents at this time and in this manner (ie-while my children were there in the car during a “child custody exchange” at 7 AM). This is an unethical tactic to harass and to upset me and my family at 7 AM during a peaceful exchange. There are other ways to deliver court documents rather than to upset the lives of children. I DO NOT recommend the service. You can get your documents served in a more humane way that doesn’t harm your children or family.I can’t believe that an attorney would recommend this option nor would the company agree that it was OK to do so. Use a firm that won’t go to any means necessary. There are other ways to serve me as I am not a difficult person to serve. This was just inhumane and a sign of absent professionalism. Do me a favor and prevent other children from being home by this company. Use another private process service, other than this one (AFD) to get your document served in the more a more humane, yet efficient way!
