My daughter brought her car in thinking at best she needed new brake pads, but was concerned that she would be told rotors as well, (which often happens with people who arent knowledgeable about vehicles.) Chris assessed the situation, determined that neither pads nor rotors were needed; simply a minor adjustment/lubricant. The price was reasonable, the work done quickly, but most importantly, the honesty is what will keep both my daughter and I returning to this location. Thank you Chris!

Chris very honest mechanic👍👍👍he explained all issues before he proposed to proceed the job without hesitation. He and his team fixed my car Nissan Sentra 2013. I have issues with noises from the exhaust that Priority Nissan mentioned that my car is in good condition to go. Actually i heard strange noise when drove it but Priority Nissan this is normal. Chris fix it with 20$ + ( labors) exhaust rubber gasket that are missing. Also I got swinging noises came from my brakes. Got my oil n filter changed. He showed to me and explained then let me know the cost of it before he proceed the job after I agreed with cost. He changed the worn off pads ,rotors dics and the fluid plus service the rear drums.No more sounds from the brakes. Part of that I got my A/C checked flushed and top up Freon. I address my issues regards the A/C. A/C work well after that.Kudos. My car stay there almost 3.5 hours to get all this done. For all this I paid $500 labor(all brakes/exhaust/oil/AC)+ 450$( ceramic pads/ 2disc rotors/ rubber gasket / oil filter/ engine oil/ brake fluid) for the parts. I’m the happiest customer today. Thank you Chris and your team. I definitely will be back for the next service.

My wife and I were on the highway when our brakes failed. Fortunately, we were in bumper to bumper traffic, so I could use the emergency brake to control the speed of the car. We quickly found on the web the address for the Meineke at the next exit. When we arrived, Chris said he would look at the car within the next twenty minutes and recommended a local restaurant within walking distance. True to his word, he called with the estimate and said the car would be ready in two hours. One hour later, we were back on the road. Chris is a super guy who cares for his customers and provides excellent service.

Chris was able to work with me on installing an aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust to replace my rusted out OEM exhaust. Easy process and the price was fair and reasonable considering how rusted out the old bolts and nuts were. Chris was also able to help remove seized bolts on my skid plate. Chris was the technician on duty during my visit. Let me just say that he went above and beyond my expectations as a first-time customer. Chris completed my estimate in minutes and provided me with a detailed analysis. He even showed me the underneath of my car to pinpoint exactly what was wrong...from the front of the car to the back. Chris never pressured me to get all of the items done so I appreciated this form of service. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone having muffler/exhaust issues.

Lesson learned. Never coming here again. My muffler/pipe assembly rusted out and split. Came here because a friend told me these guys specialized in muffler work and did same day service. Typically don’t deal with large corporate companies due to poor service. Decided to give them a chance. They replaced my entire muffler/pipe assembly all the way to the catalytic converter. All the supposedly new parts looked banged up and dented. On top of that, there must a loose bolt somewhere (under my low compact vehicle) as there is a rattling noise now. Also charged me stupid money. Terrible service.

I went to Meineke because I had an oil leak and needed an oil change. The customer service was top tier. Very professional and quick. They checked out my car and told me I just needed to tighten the gasket. Most car mechanics tell you a million and one things are wrong with your car to get you to spend your money. I was in and out within 20 minutes on a Saturday. Highly recommend.

The Toyota dealership quoted me $300 to replace a part, but Chris was able to repair the existing part for significantly less. He was easy to communicate with as we talked through the problem, fit me in the same day, and had me back on the road quickly. The car runs great, and everybody there was helpful, professional, and friendly. He’s not in my neighborhood, but I will absolutely be back here for regular service.

I am 100% confident that this shop prioritizes safety and fairness. Chris was finishing up with two customers when I walked in. I heard him assure them that the work another mechanic had apparently said was urgent and costly was unnecessary. He inspected my brakes and took the time to explain to me what I needed and what I didn’t need. There was no pushing or rushing. He even suggested that I check the glove box for a Meineke receipt from years ago to save $100 on one of the parts and rotated my tires at no cost! The whole experience was also extremely speedy. I will be coming to this shop for all future needs.

I went to Meineke McLean to fix a loose muffler on my Versa; they offered to weld it to the mid pipe for $140 instead of replacing it with a new one for $300. When I went to get my yearly safety inspection, it didn’t pass because it had a muffler leak. I went back to them (since I had a 12mo warranty) and as the facility was temporarily closed due to a fire, they directed me to Meineke Fairfax.Meineke Fairfax quoted me ~$700 (parts and labor) to do the 1 ½ hour job of replacing the muffler and the mid pipe (replacing just the muffler only was no longer an option since with the previous fix, they welded the midpipe to the muffler). He quoted me $560 for the parts and he said he was giving me a $140 discount for the previous repair. I later found out that the retail price for the parts he provided the code and description for in his quote was $187 (online in Advance Auto Parts). When I called him back to ask about it, he boasted about being in business for 30 yrs, said that I was “penny pinching”, that the parts he quoted were “better quality,” and that the previous repair was my fault, as (he assumed) I told them to do that repair (?).In summary:1.He wanted to charge me 3 times the cost of the parts for the repair, artificially inflating the price to compensate for the “warranty credit.”2.For the previous repair they did, not only did I end up paying $140 for a faulty repair, but it also resulted in having to replace the muffler and the mid pipe; doubling the cost for the fix.3.In reality, the “supposed” warranty credit never existed, nor did they take any responsibility for it.Lessons learned: Meineke McLean/Fairfax- dishonest people you can not trust, with whom I’ll never do business with or recommend to anyone.

Owner/ Manager is onsite. I have found him to be knowledgeable, thorough and trustworthy in evaluating car problems, giving a reasonable price and providing expedited repair service. I’ve been going to Meineke at this location for a number of years and have been very impressed with the quality of the work done on my vehicle.

I had an issue with my axle. It continually made a “crackling” sound every time I turned. I decided to come here to get it checked out. As a college student, i don’t have much to spend on this car so when I arrived they checked it out and even allowed me to see what was going on. They showed me the price and, i have to say, it was a pretty good price for both axles to be fixed. I decided to just get one side done and come back later on. It took about an hour and i was ready to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for other services.

For whatever its worth for people who are looking for a professional Car Care Center with people whose actually going to listen to you when you try to inquire of their services over the phone this is not the place to go just got off the phone with an individual regarding a car problem that I have start asking me questions that really wasnt even his business to begin with a number to regarding my alternator I was at telling him that you know that my alternator is new and battery is new I had a friend put a new alternator in and then he starts saying bad things about my friend and what have you and voice and his opinions on things that really I didnt ask for very unprofessional wherever that dude was around 5:50. I talk to somebody needs to replace them and wouldnt even let me get a word in edgewise so I ended up hanging up the phone on him a note to business be professional at all times when youre talking to potential customers whose trying to get Services regarding their vehicle and one of the key things is listening again keyword is listening how are you going to run a business if you cant really even listen to your customers who tried to explain to you and trying to inquire the guy that I talked to was indeed foolish in that aspect so disregard the one star that Google review makes you put on, very unprofessional to stay at the least!!

At first I got the impression this was an awesome place and that the owner was very nice until I had to go the same meineke 3 times for my catalytic converter that I paid over 2k and that the owner couldn’t simply fix. I must include that I was given a loaner the day my vehicle was being worked on, which was great, however the problem still wasn’t solved. Meneike says your parts come with warranty and you can go to any meineke to get the work fixed especially if it’s been worked on by meineke previously and all they will have to do is pull your information up in the system well that’s definitely not true because I went to a meineke and the gentleman couldn’t find me in the system. I had to have him call this meineke to verify the work was done, the gentlemen called while I was standing there, just for asking the owner a question he got an attitude and was very unprofessional today in which I was shocked at what I was hearing on the phone. He was disrespectful and not easy to work with and the foul question he return to this man was absolutely wrong. He boasted about being in business for 30 yrs and tried to belittle this gentleman for being in business for a short period of time. He even went as far as asking him did he beat on his wife and the gentleman says I don’t have a wife I’m just trying to help a customer that you had and I can’t find her information or service in the system. Take your chances at this meineke if you want but I rather go to someone who I can trust to get the job done the first time and that is kind to others.

Trustworthy assessment and very reasonable fees for muffler repair and installation. Much cheaper than dealerships prices for Toyota and Volvo cars of which I own one of each.

Whenever you go there always take a picture of your mileage and engine light because after service if engine light sign is on they will say it was already on it’s not there fault and will come up with any new quotation with high labor charge .

Wow! Chris, was wonderful to work with. He was great from the start to finish! I came one day after a 12 hour night shift. My check engine light on and my car was puting... didn’t think I’d be able to make my hour drive home. So I brought my car here for the first time. He took me right away. I told him I live an hour away in MD so I might not be able to get my car as soon as it was finished. He was so nice and said it would be no problem to keep my car until I could come back to VA to get it. I headed back to MD and within 45 min chris called me with diagnostics and an estimate for my car. He was very patient as I was waiting on a response from my father and auto body shop back home (realized Meineke’s prices are unbeatable). I called chris back at 3pm and my car was done the next day by 10am! This was so helpful because I needed my car for work that night!!! Thank so much everyone at Meinekes! I will always recommend you for the Fairfax/Falls Church/ DMV area!!!!

Id give this place a 50/50. Sometimes good and honest and other times hmmm. Watch your wallet.They quoted about $2800 for catyletic converter replacement. Which one, it has two? Did you check temperature? Howd you come up with that solution?Same with other fixes. Sometime feels like they just price the job so that you wont get the work done.Kenny the manager seems very honest but hes not the only one working there.Trust but verify.

Did a great job diagnosing and replacing a bad bearing in a front wheel that was making loud whooshing sound. We’ve used them many times over the years and always feel they have been honest and repairs were done well.

Went in for the first time since moving to the area and was interested in a brakes/pads special they were offering. Extremely friendly and professional. They gave me a call 30 mins after drop off with a quote on requested services as well as advice on tire replacements. 2 hours later everything was done and we made plans to call ahead on the next appt so they can have tires ready to go ( versus waiting for parts to be delivered ). With a crazy schedule its much appreciated that they value time and money. Appreciate the quality and quick service especially on a holiday week.

Made appointment for oil change same day for 11:00. Estimated turnaround time (from the website): 45 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes early, they took the car in immediately, and I barely had time to finish a game of solitaire before they finished. Oil change, and tire rotation in under 15 minutes.

I was very impressed with how quickly they resolved my car problems and Im only trusting these guys with my car. My Ford Crown Victoria is not a complicated car but these guys know exactly what it needs and what it doesnt. Great car care and they are trustworthy.

Several years ago I had trouble putting new brakes on my Jeep. I went to AutoZone for parts and a meineke employee was working on a car in the parking lot. He said he would do the brake job for a certain price cash. I gave him the cash and had my Jeep towed to meineke.Next day he said I owed several hundred more. The money I paid him the night before went in his pocket. I was charged for the job in full by meineke. On top of this they did not tighten the lug nuts on both rear tires.

Was told I needed a new tire for a nail chip in tire that wasn’t leaking. Also told had less than 30% left on front brakes and rotated.Took to an actual dealership was told my brakes in front were at 6mm and rotary were fine. Instead they wanted to charge almost 1000 for services not needed.Will not be going back and will work to discourage anyone else I know from using their services

The mechanic fixed the AC and taped up one of the tubes that was causing the problem.

They are always professional and punctual. I’ve always enjoyed going to them and they always try to give me an honest estimate on vehicle maintenance.

My brakes went out on my Jeep with almost no notice and luckily close to Meineke Car Care. Chris at Meineke offered some extra brake fluid in order for me to get my Jeep to his shop. Both front brake lines were replaced promptly and the Jeep was ready by close of business the same day (about 4 hours total from drop off to when service was done). Reasonably priced. Highly recommend Meineke Car Care Center for auto service needs!

Heres an update to my last review. I got a slow leak in my tire the other day and I needed to get it fixed fast. I called Chris at Meineke and hes fit me in and he found the nail and he fixed the tire all in about 20 minutes. During that time we had a nice talk and I really really enjoyed this place of business. I was able to see and hear how he speaks with all of his customers whether on the phone or in person and he is an extremely nice man and takes care of business. I will continue to use Meineke for all my car needs.The owner Chris is great! we had brought our car somewhere else and got some really high prices and some things that needed to be done that actually didnt need to be done. we went to meineke and saw Chris based on a recommendation from good friends of ours. He told us exactly what was wrong with the car undercharged by hundreds of dollars compared to the other place and the car is doing great. I would recommend meineke for any of your car needs.

I really could not recommend this place enough. I came in during the afternoon with a broken AC, some janky brakes, and some other issues. In only about two hours, I had two axles replaced, a refrigerant replacement, an oil change, and a battery replacement. I wasn’t expecting the work to be so fast, but I knew the quality would be excellent. When I arrived to pick my car up, I really appreciated that Chris took the time to show me some of the busted parts and put a visual to the issues he was explaining. He walked me through the list of repairs and clearly explained why they were needed, and I never felt condescended to as I have at other establishments. I feel like I’ve learned something, my car is driving so much better now, and I am very very happy with my experience here. Thanks again!

On several occasions they saved me several hundreds where other shops had said I needed something (always the most expensive repair) but they said no here is what you need and saved me money. Most recent I would have sworn it was a blow power steering pump but they told me no, it is the pressure switch. Saved me about 400 on that one. Only shop that I use now

What stands out is their honesty and integrity. I work in LE, so those characteristics are everything. Its nice to take my car to someone I can trust. The stereotype is that mechanics try to oversell their service. That is not the case here. Its easy to locate and there are some nice places to walk around nearby, while your car is in service.

I can not recommend Chris at Meineke in Fairfax enough. He is always so friendly, and I go here for everything; big or small; because I know he will do it correctly the first time. Not knowing much about cars myself; this is a rare find for me to find a care center I’m comfortable with. I never question whether or not I’m being taken care of and I never feel talked “down” at. I went to this service location because of the good reviews online. I was charged $1019.04 to replace my 2010 Subaru Forester Resonator Pipe Muffler Exhaust System. I found out afterwards that all the parts as a Kit is available online for $299.99.
