Not really pleased with the service of our postman right now. I have had two letters sitting in the mailbox since 9:30am. He just flew by on Highway 10, stopped to deliver the mail to the business next door, which does not have a street mailbox, but I guess my mail was deemed unimportant to him flying by. Im now on hold with the only phone number that I can reach for the postmaster general. It is his job to stop when the mail flag is up! If he doesnt want to do his job, he should quit and let someone that wants to do it correctly do the job.

Least helpful post office Ive ever used. One counter clerk likes to abuse my packages, squishing and bending the items inside, tries to force me to pay extra for services I dont need. I drive to the next town over sometimes to ship my packages. Looking into shipping my parcels through Fed Ex.

People at main office are nice, but I have been trying to get my mail correctly delivered for close to a year. There is always some excuse for why I constantly get other peoples mail, and they get mine. So far the reasons are:1. The gravel roads are dusty, and the carrier cant see the numbers or names on boxes. ( keep in mind, I live in crystal lakes, and these are locked cluster boxes, with the name and number ONLY visible inside the carriers portion of the box)2. Our street name is similar to the other mistaken box. (Right, Lakeside, as opposed to Beach drive)3. The carrier is a substitute and doesnt know us. Huh, do all postal workers know who lives at each address? Do we have a sub every day, and if so, wouldnt that make them a regular?I see the same girl delivering every day. I have had 6 pieces of mail misdelivered in less than 6 days. I complain, but nothing happens. Ive waited for mail that was delivered to someone else, finally arriving VERY LATE. I refuse to put anything in the out box here. It may never arrive.Used to be you could count on the mail. No more. Prices go up, dependability goes down.

I recently had live chicks shipped from California. They were supposed to arrive Wednesday by 3pm. Paid priority express next day with the money back guarantee - the whole shabangdingy. Thursday afternoon rolls around and the shipping says they still havent left Sacramento, CA. Keeping in mind these are live chicks that will only last a couple days. I went down to the post office to see if I could get any information and let me just tell you Dina and the young man at the front desk were SO nice and helpful. I just assumed post office employees were kind of like DMV employees - relatively grumpy and unhelpful - boy was I wrong (at least at the ES post office). They took my phone number and told me they would call me as soon as they arrived. And they gave me all the info I needed to tell the shipper that shes totally entitled to a refund on the money back guarantee for priority express. Saturday rolls around (they were WAY late but not my post offices fault) and I got a call at 5am from Sophia telling me they arrived and that I could come get them at the back door even though they were closed! While Im not exactly happy with the USPS in general because they were 4 days late (thankfully the majority survived), I could not have been happier with the service at this post office.
