After my second parent passed away I called to start a new service in my name and found out that they had been charging for 2 dumpsters for 17 or better years when there was only ever 1. Then I get a bill for my dad wanting another almost 100 dollars for a service that had been paid 3 months in advance. It was changed at the beginning of the new cycle with the new bill.

I ordered a new trash on April 26th, 2021. I paid $100 dollars for it to be delivered to my residence. I was told it would be delivered on that following Tuesday. it never came, so I called and they said it had been rescheduled for the next day. Never came, called again was told the same thing. Over and over again I keep getting told it has been rescheduled for a certain day, then it never comes. I even tried to request to pick it up, but they said I would need to pay another $90 dollars. Im starting to think Im never going to get my new trash can and I just gave the republic services $100 dollars for nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE!!!

I need a real person to contact me please!! I started being overcharged then I had to call customer service on three separate occasions. They adjusted what I owed, then a new bill came for the difference. The person I then talked to knew nothing about the previous call. They have now charged me the difference plus a $30 fee and suspended my account. This is after literally 15 years as a customer and on time payments! These problems are all recent! Please contact me!!!

Have called this company 3 times this week to report that they never picked up the yard waste in the can. As per their own advertising was told they would pick it up even said they called a supervisor that was out in the area guess what the can still hasnt been emptied. They want to increase their contracts but dont want to fulfill their responsibilities. This company is very poor in public relations tired of hearing how they will take care of it but as usual dont.. evansville Indiana

I have tried multiple times to schedule a heavy trash pickup in Vanderburgh County as instructed on the evansville.org site. I have been on hold for 30+ minutes every time and no one ever answers the call. Terrible customer service.

This company literally stole our trash can and we dont even use them for trash service! We have them on our security cameras doing it. Called 2 weeks ago about problem. Said they would take care of it and return it. 2 weeks and still not back. Called again today and got transfered to 3 people only to be told a supervisor would call me back. We will file a police report and report it stolen and show police the video of them taking our trash can and press charges.

Leaned something up onto my trash can, they got out of the truck, threw it in my yard then emptied my trash. Ridiculous!!! Will be going with a new company! Wouldn’t even take what was leaning on my trash can. Was just one thing, that wasn’t heavy. Could have picked it up and put it in the garbage truck!!

Terrible service! Wish I could leave negative stars. Missed several pickups, left can in middle of street on occasions, and (the final straw) tore up my brick mailbox. Canceled service in early May 2020 and my bank accidentally sent an automatic payment May 22nd for an additional 3 months payment from June - August 2020. I already had a small overpayment on my account when I previously paid off my final balance. Received an email July 16, 2020 saying they would process a refund for $82.30 within 1-2 weeks. During my cancellation process, I was also told the final trashcan pickup fee would be waived. Never received the refund. When I called multiple times they said they didnt owe anything and no refund due, even though I had an email with a case number attached that said I did. So basically, they kept 3 months payment for services not rendered. Will never use these thieves again.

My trash Pickup was skipped the Monday after Thanksgiving. I called Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the following week and each day I was assured by customer service they would send somebody back to pick up my trash. Every day they said it would be picked up it wasnt. The last time I called they said they sent someone out to pick it up and have it recorded my trash cans werent out. Ive been working from home since march and that is a flat out lie. My cans have been sitting in the street since Sunday and nobody has come out to get them. Terrible service. Republic Services is absolute garbage. Thats why they have over 40 reviews and are 1 star.

Never had any issues with republic. The driver on my route is always super friendly & have never had any issues when trying to order a dumpster for large waste or requesting a one-time heavy trash pickup when I couldnt wait until the next city event

When I first set up service 3 years ago, I was super upset that they did not include their Administration fee, Nor their very expensive Fuel/Environmental fee which was 50% more than they told me! I chose to just accept it, due to more important matters going on in my life at that time. Go to Covid time, we ALL know that gas prices dropped dramatically, yet our gas fees did not! Now, I thought I had paid my bill online, it said paid. I had a surgery right after and just noticed that the payment did not go though due to date error which they have a record of me trying to pay, which they can see was Not lack of funds! The way they bill is they count the day they print the invoice, as a month your bill is due, even though you have paid already for that full month, 3 months prior! SO, if you go 35 days late, you not only have a $35 late fee, but they stop your service you have to pay for anyway! I called asking them to work with me. I would have been fine with one or the other penalties even though they can see I thought I had paid my bill, but to do both of these and then not work with me at all, when I have not called asking ever for 3 years, is horrible service. I am not even going into the times the pick up has had problems!!!!!!!

So I see Im not the only one who wasnt told or clued in on the administrative or fuel fees. Very deceptive. I was told I would pay $54/quarter which I was told to pay up front. This seemingly only gets me for September. Just got a bill today that I owe another 70. I was VERY clear that this was I would pay and the lady who signed me up insisted it was. I will be dropping this service effective immediately. Had I would of been made aware or at least given a heads up I might have been ok. However, this is piss poor business practice. Obviously based on the reviews Im not alone. Advanced Disposal will now get my business.

Over priced, hidden fees. Prices change every billing cycle. Cancel your service prepare to pay $50 for them to pick up their own trash can. Never recommend this service.

I ordered an additional trash can for which I paid $100 for on July 23rd. I still have not received the trash can. I have called every week to inquire when we were going to get it and each time was told I would get a phone call back. Never have gotten a phone call back. I asked if I could come pick up the trash can and was told NO. I just noticed on my credit card statement to credited back the $100 on August 20th??????? I am so frustrated with the lack of service from this company.

The first time I called to get pricing the woman I talked with didnt give any additional information and kept our conversation very short. When I called the second time and third time with more questions I received a customer service rep named David and he was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and gave me so much information! Gave us the best price without having to ask or haggle on price matching.

For the first year or so I was mostly satisfied, then pick ups began getting missed and my rates continued to increase. I started my services at 40-45$/mo until I was fed up at 70$/mo. I never called to complain especially about the way the drivers race through my little subdivision with its tight curbs considering it was early in the morning. I had had enough of the missed pick ups and rate increases so I called to cancelled my service. I was assured that I would not owe any additional fees by the representative who I remember as we shared the same first name. I asked if I needed to return the trash and recycling bins to avoid any additional charges. The representative assured me that the bins would be picked up the next trash day free of charge. I again confirmed this information before ending the call and left the bins out which were picked as the representative instructed. A while later I was sent an invoice for just under 40$. I called to question this invoice as I was assured that I would not owe any additional fees. I was told to ignore the invoice I was paid in full. Now a year later I was sent to collections for ignoring said invoice that I was sent for the fee of the bin removal. I have now paid the invoice in addition to the service fee. Its just very frustrating and very pathetic that A.) I was misinformed and charged after thinking I had clarified this question more than once and B.) Receive more consistent, and affordable service from a trash company thats in another county 27 mi away vs one that is less than 7 mi away. I now pay every three months (+8$) what republic services started charging me monthly. I hope you have a better experience that I did if you choose to try this company.

Last day of service was October 15. Was charged for service through end of October. So I paid for service I DIDNT USE!!November 15 final bill was paid. Same day they charged me a “container removal fee”Several phone calls have not resolved matter. They’ve turned it to their collection agency AFTER I was assured it was paid in full. NEVER AGAIN will I use their service. Unless it is to dump trash in their parking lot.

Ive always found Republic reliable. The one time my trash was missed was due to neighbor blocking my cans with stupid truck. But the guys returned immediately, which pleasantly surprised me. I just wish there were better rates for low users, as myself. But Im happy with the service.

Their Communations really sucks, they tell you one thing and not back their word. Ive had several incidents where they would skip my trqsh can, but not my neighbors! This company is one of the worst ive ever seen!! I would advise you to stay away!

Ive used this company for 2 yrs now & theyve always been good other than occasionally showing up way earlier than normal (5+ hours) causing me to miss trash pickup. However I started having more serious issues when my neighbors moved out & instead of taking THEIR empty trashcans, sitting on the street in front of an empty house next to a for sale sign, they came through MY yard, passed all my cars in my driveway & took my FULL trashcans that were in between my shed and my obviously lived-in house. When I tried to call them to get our cans back, it would just go to a recording. When they finally came out to fix the problem, if my son hadnt chased them down as they were taking off, they wouldve left with my ex-neighbors trashcans that they were supposed to take before, but without leaving us any new ones. Then today they passed our house without emptying our trashcans that were out on the street since last night. WTF? We arent the ones who moved!

Terrible company!! Used their services for 6 months kept raising prices. Moved out of the commercial building I was in and bought a new building. Called at end of May to tell them to get the dumpster and have someone contact me on the new locations services.. They kept billing me after and no sales rep called. I called and explained I had moved and called previously to have it removed they said the sales rep had to do that. I explained no one ever called. Then my old landlord asked about it and called himself and still nothing but past due invoices in the mail. So I called and went to the local office to be told they would look at it and send a revised invoice. Sales finally called a month later after I had already got a new provider, told them to remove dumpster and still nothing until October finally removed it. Then called to get bill situated and corrected. Said will call back no call. Got a letter from a collection agency now, so called and asked for a supervisor and was told nothing they can do cause its at collections. The worst and most lacking sense company I have ever dealt with and I will tell anyone who needs these services about my experience.

Just moved into a home. They have only had to pick up twice. Both times left my trash. When I called, I was told they would come out “sometime “ during the week. They didn’t. Today, I saw they left half of my trash and I just passed them in my neighborhood. I called and asked them to send them back. I was told that they will come out tomorrow...even though they were 2 blocks away. Horrible customer service. They let you know that they really don’t care. I told them that I will contact another company and switch since I have only had trouble with them over the only 2 weeks I’ve been with them. I would look at another company and save yourself a lot of grief.

It’s January 8th and my trash hasn’t been taken out sense right after thanksgiving. I’ve called numerous times and they promise every time that my trash will be taken out “tomorrow”. I’ve got trash piling up in my kitchen so they told me it would be picked up two days in a row. Of course, that never happened either. Customer service is a joke at that place.

Dumpster was supposed to be picked up Friday- I told them I only needed it one day and now it won’t be picked up till Monday. Hopefully I’m not paying for other people dumping their trash in it over the weekend, and I probably won’t be refunded if I didn’t use the whole 2 tons.

We were charged for items that we did not ask for. I called in and the customer service person said that I should have read the note on the last months bill. We get a electronic bill and did not read any note. The lady was extremely condescending. So, I asked to cancel. She said that she would have someone call me. No one called. I called our local rep. He wouldnt cancel until I met with him. He told me I was under contract and couldnt cancel. I told him we were not under contract. He said he would check our agreement and get back to me the next day. He didnt, so I called him. He said that he was wrong and we werent under contract. It took a month and a half to go through all this, so the rep. agreed not to charge us for the last month. Well, long story short.... We did not get the credit and I just got a letter from there collections. Im going to pay it today, but I will never use Republic!

Following my trash pick up this week glass and trash was left all over the sidewalk in front of my house and it was also half way into the street which could have easily harmed an animal or child walking outside. While passing me, a Republic Services truck launched a rock at my car, scraping the hood, then shattering the bottom of my windshield. Their manager behaved as though I was an idiot for expecting to be compensated, and their insurance gave me the run-around. I feel victimized by their business operations.
