This is the fourth time Sperry has come out to help us with a tree-related project. From removing a row a very overgrown arborvitae to our most recent project, removing a very large and very old cherry tree that was on the verge of toppling over, Sperry Tree care is our go to for arborist work. From the quick and professional assistance getting appointments made to the actual work of cutting down and removing the tree, they were wonderful to work with and I can’t say enough nice things about the quality of the work and the genuine care and professionalism of everyone I have interacted with.Highly recommend!

When the large cherry tree in our back yard was giving up the ghost, we decided rather than cut it down to turn it into a wildlife tree. After receiving a very reasonable quote from Chris White, we hired Sperry Tree Care to bring the tree down to 18 feet from its original 50 or more feet, cut off a number of branches and girdle the tree. The crew came punctually, worked carefully and efficiently, and shaped the remaining snag into a pleasing shape, even cutting a bat cave into the trunk. We could not be more pleased with their work.

I was thoroughly impressed with Sperry Tree Care and highly recommend them. They were responsive in coming out for a quote. I thought their rate was quite reasonable and the quality of the work, the professionalism and the entire experience were amazing. I hope we dont have more tree work (but probably will) and I will use them again for sure.

These guys are what you want. Professional, courteous and diligent. They efficiently removed a 12 story tall dead Spruce that was inches from my home. Their cleanup was excellent. I got several bids, and theirs was the best.

Sperrys is always incredibly professional. Ive had them remove trees, trim trees and plant a tree on my property. They are easy to work with, do a great job with the work and cleanup. The tree they planted ten years ago has grown up and keeps my house cool in the summer and is so beautiful in the fall. They are great to work with!

Good communication throughout the process, including assessment, estimate, and scheduling of tree removal and trimming. We were impressed with the results. There was one scheduling issue due to the unavailability of a lift for the trimming of our front-yard maple on the scheduled day, but it worked out just fine when rescheduled. Sad to see our big backyard Doug Fir go, but it’s better to see the diseased tree come down in a controlled manner rather than falling on our house in a storm!

The Sperry crew did a fabulous job pruning my large sweet gum tree. They seemed happy to incorporate my preferences in the work they did. They were efficient, thorough, and friendly. Highest recommendation!

I had a limb from my Sweetgum fall into the neighbors driveway. Sperry came out and took a look. They provided a reasonable estimate for cleanup and prevention, and did so in a timely manner. Work was completed shortly and to my satisfaction.Ask them questions, theyll answer!

One of those services thats expensive but worth the price. I have a dozen very tall fir trees that need regular attention on a small residential lot. All aspects of Sperrys service are handled well: initial (free) inspection, setting the appointment, safety for my property and the tree trimmers, and, especially, clean-up. The crew is always on time, healthy, friendly, thorough, and a pleasure to work with.

This company the BEST!! send out mailers for free analysis awhile back and I scheduled appt. He came on time, was very professional and knowledgeable. He identified every tree and bush I had and made recommendations and even though I encouraged him to find something wrong he declined and advised that all was good and suggested just some trimming of bushes. Call this company for a fair deal

Sperry Tree Care could change its name to Superb Tree Care and Splendid Customer CareMy wife and I are so happy we hired Sperry Tree Care to prune our three Maple trees and three ornamental Cherry trees. Their crew arrived right at the time promised. We did a walkthrough, explaining how we wanted to recover our blocked view, but not damage the trees, or end up with what looked like ugly, humungous shrubs. They assured us they would never do anything like that. Over the next hour, the four-man crew judiciously sawed, clipped, and trimmed. It was much like watching master barbers at work. All the pruned branches were ground up in their chipper truck, the curb strip was raked clean, the street and gutter were blown and swept clean. And all the garden art and metal sculptures they had moved out of the way were put back right where they came from. They accomplished everything in just over an hour. You couldn’t tell a work crew had even been here - except we once again have a wide-open view of the valley, and our six trees look naturally beautiful. Excellent work. Outstanding service. Thank you so much to the wonderful people at Sperry Tree Care.

VERY HAPPY WITH SPERRY TREE CARE! Im a home-ower in Eugene, and the Big Snow Storm of 2019 brought the top of neighbors tree onto my roof. So, I called Sperry Tree Care to get a quote and schedule the work. They had a great rating on Angies List, and my focus for any work done on my home is to get a quality job, even if it means paying some more money.THEY SEND OUT A CERTIFIED ARBORIST who really told me what I needed to know about the work, and gave me a FREE QUOTE within a day. Well, I will tell you, my home insurance was impressed at apparently how low the bid was, and with that and everything else I knew, I scheduled the work to remove the tree on my garage roof, and two others that had fallen into my back yard. In the meantime, though, I talked to my neighbor about the tree itself, was it good enough to keep, or should the whole thing be cut down? The idea was, maybe we could work together to do what was needed and be more cost-effective for both of us if we had it all done when my work was scheduled. This was no problem for Sperry, since they do in fact do this from time to time. So, another bid for pruning back to keep the tree, and to cut it down was given. The fact was, this tree was hearty, and both me and my neighbors wanted to keep it, and the cost to remove it was a lot more then just to prune it, so an easy decision.THE WORK WAS DONE EFFICIENTLY, EFFECTIVELY AND EXPERTLY, too! In the end, with my insurance coverage, my neighbor and I essentially split the remaining $800. This company not only encourages their workers to become certified arborists, but also pays them a living wage, provides benefits, and is locally owned and operated. They also donate to charity in the area. All in all, if you do end up paying some more with them, then youll get a whole lot more in return . . . a great job, local workers who can live a decent life, a company committed to the community, and frankly, all this promotes a sustainable local economy. Like a bumper I read says, When everyone does well, then everyone does well, if you get my point.

In my opinion Sperry Tree Care is the best arborist crew around. We’ve used their services a few times having large trees pruned and were never disappointed, would highly recommend. They were price competitive, and more importantly they genuinely care about the trees. Bids from other tree services in the area werent even close, some more than twice as expensive. You can tell they take pride in their work. Sperrys estimate broke down the pricing and was spot on with the labor hours needed. I was especially impressed with their choice of tools, using only hand saws and pruning shears rather than chain saws that can cause damage. They climbed without using spikes to avoid damage, just overall very thoughtful of their practices and the trees.

Three big and precarious trees were removed from my property between my house and the house next door, and then cut into firewood lengths for me. The workers arrived promptly and did their work carefully, professionally and promptly. I highly recommend Sperry Tree Care Service.

Stopped today and talked to the workers that were cutting down a tree with a couple squirrel dreys in it. This company has no compassion for wildlife at all. I was told they would look in the drey and see if there were squirrel babies in there. I left for awhile to come back and be told that they did not even see a squirrel drey at all. The guy on the ground told me it was a squirrel drey. I know for a fact it was. How much time does it take to look and relocate under a near by bush so the momma can come back and retrieve her babies? A couple seconds. I was willing to hang out and reunite the babies. Im so disappointed that such a company can have so little compassion for wildlife. So very sad.

This was my second experience with Sperry Tree Care. First was Monday 11/16/2015. The second was 11/17/2017. I chose Sperry because they advertise on our local NPR station (KLCC). In both cases I question the estimate I was given. The first time they reduced it by $100.00 when I complained. The job was to drop 3 trees in a pasture. A thirty minute job. I was given an estimate of $300.00 but they reduced it to $200.00. The second job was estimated at $350.00 dollars to drop a single oak in a pasture that was a little trickier but just required 2 people, a truck and one hour. The quote said I needed two people and a boom truck to remove limbs hanging over the shed before dropping it. I told him I thought you just needed to tie a rope around it and drop it. I did all the clean up Sperry just put all the trees on the ground. For the oak two guys came out in a pickup, tied a rope around the oak and dropped it as I had suggested. One hour tops. The cutters, Rob came out both times and was professional, personable and efficient. Very good work by him and his assistant on the second job, and he alone on the first. I would give Rob a 5 star rating. I felt the estimate was based on what the estimator thought I could pay not the work that was required. He also gave me a ballpark on another oak of $650.00 to just clean up the broken linbs from the ice storm last year. I declined. Maybe that works in the city but out here when the only requirement is to drop the trees or do minimal work it doesnt. I regret this review because Rob is worth having out again but the estimate process has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Alby Thoumsin is very knowledgeable, and quickly correctly identified a tree Id mistakenly assumed was of a different species. He quoted a fair price for trimming my long driveway of Douglas Firs, which required his workers to climb trees, using ropes. They cleaned up very well.

Pruned a black plum tree and also always willing to do a little more. Wouldnt have anyone else do my fruit trees.

They came out and told us what trees needed trimming etc. for the estimate and we chose what we could afford but on the day they actually came out to do the work, it wasnt the expert who did it but one of his workers. He killed one of our trees that we only wanted trimmed and did a lousy job and the other ones. We havent used them again and wont recommend them either.

For a company that makes their living from nature they have no compassion for Gods little wildlife
