I reached out after asking someone where they got their haircut. They recommended I run with scissors. I visited their website and reached out to one of the stylist that cuts short hair. She wasn’t available, so she forwarded me to Sara who got me in for Saturday morning. I came in with a challenge because I needed Sara to fix a bad haircut I got somewhere else. I also needed something that would be easy to maintain. Sara took the time to listen to everything I needed and I ended up with a great cut! I really appreciated her friendly upbeat personality. I’d highly recommend this place and Sara! Only tip is to be careful driving into their parking lot. The city has to address a pretty big pot hole.

I went to my consultation only to find out my lady Sarah was sick but the business or Sarah did not call me. It is in a bad part of town. I dont think Ill give this business another try. Too bad because I was looking forward to Sarah because she has great reviews.

I trusted her to help me transition my curly hair from 30 years of dark brown box color to my natural silver, and she nailed it. Over two long sessions 8 weeks apart (to avoid over processing), she stripped out my old dye, lightened everything with heavy highlights, and toned to blend with my natural roots. I was able to avoid that horrid grow-out phase altogether while transitioning and it felt like a miracle. Now, nearly 2 years later, I couldnt be happier with my 100% natural silver curls!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Let me start out by saying everyone there is amazing at what they do. But I particularly love Lora! I recently bleached my hair and it has some pretty horrible damage! Ive been to other salons and have asked them for an undercut design and heavy layers along with a V cut.No one has been able to do it.EXCEPT LORA. She did everything I asked and more. Im in love with my hair again and theres so much less damage. I will always go to I Run With Scissors because I trust everyone there to take care of me. My hair was done by Melissa and I absolutely love it, it feels so good, she gave me exactly what I wanted. The place was super clean, I felt safe and welcomed at the same time. Awesome experience.

My mother in all for a “touch up” from a previous hair cut that Melissa did. Melissa told her she would just charge her for a “FIX”. INSTEAD SHE CHOPPED HER HAIR OFF AND GAVE HER WHAT LOOKS LIKE A MULLET. My mother in law visably upset and in tears was then told she owes $38 (price of a full haircut) NO CONCERN FOR THE CUSTOMER UPSET WHATSOEVER. Nothing!!! YOU CANT AT THIS POINT REALLY EVEN FIX THIS! YOU CANT UNCUT HAIR!!My advice... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

I have been going to Sarah for at least 12 years! She is amazing with color and has seen me through red, platinum, highlights and now creatively disguising some gray. She is careful not to cut too much off but will re-cut until the length is what you want. I recently chose a shorter cut and I have had nothing but compliments even from strangers! The salon is cute and very conveniently located. I love what Sarah has done with my hair!

Sara was my hairdresser, and I was so impressed. She understood what I wanted from a picture (short, thick hair being grown out 1 year from shaving my head.) Most hair stylists Ive been to didnt quite see my vision. Sara did great and she did so quickly, professionally, and impressively. Thanks!

I went here on a whim because it had good reviews, very strange interaction. Extremely unprofessional, un-educated, rude and “know it all” over all energy from the hair stylist I ended up with. She had the audacity to bad talk a previous customer to me, that she had actually only had a very brief interaction with, after just meeting me. I am not upset with the service because it was a last minute resort being my hairstylist was busy. I do find it very funny that this woman is still in business! I would not recommend Emily here, unless you are just looking for a laugh. Not sure about the others. Definitely an interesting experience but hey, on the bright side it was quite entertaining. I definitely will be doing my own hair next time if I cannot find anyone else, instead of going back here. It is important to remember that just because somebody has the proper paper work and set up, does not mean they know what they are doing. I actually had more knowledge than this woman and I would not consider myself an expert especially being that I have never been to beauty school. Anyways it is good to support local businesses so if you do go here just keep an eye out for this one, know what you are looking for and don’t let her talk you into anything you will “regret” as one might say. I am assuming that the amazing google reviews are for the other lovely looking hair dressers here so I do recommend to request one of them instead! Good luck! And hopefully this woman learns a few things because I do see good potential in her, and am hoping nobody else has to have the same silly experience as I did ( all though again, if you are bored one day perhaps it is for you. ) However I’m fairly sure most working adults would appreciate not spending the time on this. Cheap prices though ( for obvious reasons )

Overpriced my boyfriends’ cut and mine. The lady had no idea how to do what I wanted, instead acted like she knew what she was doing and basically thinned out all of my hair instead of giving me my desired cut. She even made the length shorter after I told her I wanted my length. I can’t do anything to it now. The layers she made, look nothing close to the photos I used for reference. She just kept getting it shorter and shorter because she didn’t understand what I was asking for. Then it was too late, I had long thick hair, all one length and she thinned it out so much it’s not even consistent. The thinness of the last layer she thinned out is so ridiculous, my hair looks so bad when halfway pulled up. I don’t even know what layer is what because it’s still all basically one length just shorter. There aren’t any layers to it at all. I will never come back to this place. My hair is ruined and now I have to wait for it to grow back and I don’t even know how long that will be. This is the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I honestly would have been happy if she stopped and said she couldn’t do it because she couldn’t understand what I wanted. Honesty is key. Don’t just cut until you think you got it. And don’t even get me started on my boyfriend’s haircut.

My hair stylist is out of commission for a long time, so I was looking for someone new. I read great reviews for this location, but none for the lady I happened to get. I was desperate before my birthday vacation for a trim. I showed a picture of an idea of what I wanted, told her I understand I cant make my hair do it, but the shape I liked. I told her I have curly/frizzy and really thick hair, she had it available to play with for a bit to get an idea of what it was like, but didnt. She stated, So were really not taking much off are we?About 15 or so minutes later, I hear Uh oh. My heart stopped. She ended up cutting most of my mid-back length hair, she thinned it in a way that emphasizes the frizzyness and I have a very clear mullet if Im not careful about my styling. Im two months out and heart broken about how long it will be before I can enjoy my hair again. The layers are so short, it will probably be a year or more.No I realize this is just one experience and she could have had a bad day. Maybe I should have talked more, whatever. In the end, when I asked the price because she hadnt mentioned it all, she said, well, I have to charge you for a new hairstyle, we did give you a full new look and it took longer than an hour. Okay, but you said So were just doing a little trim and then Uh oh and Im dealing with it for a long time now.The two stars was for good parking and easy online booking.

Ive been looking for a stylist in Eugene who can cut curly hair well, and Emily was the answer to my prayers! For the first time in years , I love my haircut. My hair is kind of wonky and can be difficult, but Emily worked magic and was very attentive with respect towards what I wanted my hair to look like. Ill definitely be going back !

Melissa is a master of color. Shes transitioned me from blue to red to purple. And has plenty of tricks up her sleeve. Shes a pleasure to talk to to boot! If youre looking for bright vivid colors if it can be done, she can do it.

I booked a double process to go from brown to a lavender and black online. I called the next day and confirmed my appointment with a lady over the phone. At 5:45 AM she texted me saying that the online schedule she had was wrong but she would still take me. I offered pics of where I was at and what I wanted but she was not interested. I get there and I am told she cannot do that color because it was a double process and we did not have enough time. Confused and trying to be nice I settled with a simple ash blonde and black. I left with brown, green, orange and blue AND black dye on my forehead and ears. She told me the blue was just a toner and to wash it out after 24hrs, and it should be the ashy blonde I wanted, and if it wasnt to call her! I was nice, trusted her, and even still tipped her. (All while a gentleman came in with his daughter saying that they did not trim her hair evenly!)The next day I washed it out only to find that the colors are exactly the same, and my hair is fried. Still being nice, and remembering she said to just give her a call or txt her, I sent her a pretty honest and not mean text about where I was. Instead of working with me, she told me it was beautiful before she put the toner in, and that she would not be refunding any money as she provided exactly what I wanted! I have never given ANY kind of artist a bad review until today! I spent $165 on the picture below! And I have 24 hrs to fix it myself with box color before work!

Ive now visited I Run With Scissors several times and every time Ive seen Emily. She is a fantastic stylist who truly wants you to be happy with the end product. The first time I came in I got a simple haircut which was very reasonably priced and well done. I came back and got a balayage a couple months later and she was able to achieve exactly what I was looking for and it looked very natural. My third visited we unfortunately miscommunicated on what I was looking for but upon seeing that I was a bit surprised about how blonde the color was and less than thrilled about how it came out, Emily assured me that I was welcome to come back (for free) and she would make sure I liked the end result. Usually I wouldnt take a stylist up on that offer but she seemed so sincere that I felt comfortable accepting. Im so glad I went back in... it looks much better now! Its rare you meet a stylist who is as genuine, considerate, and talented as Emily. I highly recommend her and will definitely return in the future.

Overpriced for the quality of service received. I went here for an extensive treatment which the stylist refused to give me. Since she had booked the afternoon to see me for the treatment she basically got me to do a wash and trim, which I didnt need because I already had my hair trimmed and washed. She charged me $70 round about for the service. The trim was uneven and not layered properly as I requested. The wash and ointments she put in my hair were second rate. It was evident she just wanted to get as much money as possible for as little effort as possible. I wont be going here again and frankly, Id recommend going elsewhere for trims, washes and any special treatments you may need. Poor service.
