No Other organization in the state invests the resources and services to thr most in need population. the center offers a fair and and dignified method of service to address the needs of individuals wnd families as long as they abide to rules and respect the rights of other clients and staff as well as volunteers. others may not agree but its usually due to entitlmemt issues

Im referring only to the place they call the service station, one of the workers said they had plenty of room and the person that checked me in didnt say anything about not having room for me.. then about 2 hours before sunset I found out you had to be on some kind of a list.. so with a wet sleeping bag, osteoarthritis so bad from all the walking Ive had to do because bus 92 hasnt run since the ice storm I had to take 2 buses and then walk about 5

These people are supposed to be for LOW INCOME housing. Yet you have to pay $45 every time you apply if its been over 90 days and when they call you to apply it usually takes 90 days for the place to be move in ready. Then you get to pay the fee again. Thats if they dont call you and say actually someone was ahead of you like they did to me the first time (have been trying to get in for 3 years). Thats cool I just wasted $45. The rent is not subsidized either so if you lose your job you just get evicted and then the best part is, you have 3 days to come up with the move in costs. THREE DAYS. What kind of place for LOW INCOME PEOPLE gives you 3 days to come up with move in costs when they make you wait 4 months while they are getting it ready and cant even give you any kind of time estimate? I have to come up with $1000 in 3 days. And their income limits for approval are so low with myself and my son I cant even take home more than $1400 a month, MAXIMUM or I am over income. Its a joke. I dont know how anyone gets in here and if you can come up with that money in 3 days youre lying about your income somewhere because people who truly meet their income limits cant come up with that kind of money in 3 days unless they got income coming in somewhere that isnt reported or have no bills. And I actually got someone to borrow me the money but me child ended up in the hospital in anaphylaxis from medicine and rotavirus and they still moved on to the next person because I couldnt make it to the appointment because my child was in isolation and anaphylaxis bunch of heartless horrible people. I couldnt get anyone else to stay with my child because NO ONE WANTS ROTAVIRUS! They are NOT there to help you, cant even wait a day or two for kid to get out of the hospital.... how can an organization going out acting like they try and help people do something like this?

Helped with a $15 gift card for there thrift store, you can do laundry and shower but hours are all screwed up (people who have jobs and work should be a priority), serves breakfast cereals and lunch stew and most of the time thats horrible, some tent overnight parking and rv arrangements can be made( good luck on that), this day center needs donations funds and a management that can identify people with mental health and other disabilities to be more helpful.

I got scabies from sleeping there and the ppl on the other side smoked meth n rummage through things all night with flashlights. My clothes and other items were stolen oit of stafflock up and they said theres nothing they can do. Someone slashed my tires on camara and the ppl in the office claimed none of it was true offered a psychologist. Its all a scam of severe abuse especially unsafe and the tight knit clics of thieves tweakers and staff that stay therw year round. Its filthy and a better back ground check of the staff will reveal theyhave fled other states in allegations of wrongful death and abuse they know who Im talking about.

This place is fantastic and the service they help people with are great i notice many patrons here are extremely ungrateful and rude to those in the community that volunteer their time to feed them, give them a shower, a chance to laundry, and take care of their pets. I for one am extremely grateful that SVDP is here to help those in need. And while i am unsure of why there is such a fuss over our flag not being hung Id like to remind folks to look around and realize that not everyone hangs a flag. And it is our constitutional right to dislike what our country is doing and not support it.For SVDP thank you for helping me in my time of need

Abusive, uneducated, reverse-racism, religious discrimination, this company is a mess. The clothes that go into the stores are over priced, if it is a brand name they will price it at least 3x higher than any other article of clothing. The sales associates have no idea how to do customer service, they give folks who come into their store dirty looks as if it is a bother than they have to wait on a customer. They are not a respecter of people or religions, In America you should be able to hang the American flag in your window, nope not if you live in SVdP housing. As for religions rather than respect a polite request I personally was yelled and told I didnt know what I was talking about. Pretty sure I know my own religion. The only things they succeed in is recycling, 90% of all materials that comes through St. Vincent de Paul are recycled rather than thrown away.

They were very reluctant to tell me anything I was trying to learn. The food is not nutritious. Has that insiders only vibe that the mission has. The people whove been using up all the services for years dont want anyone else there, and dont want to improve their situations, just keep monopolizing everything.

Clearly uneducated about service dogs. I think the guy and gal running the kitchen are ex druggies and lacking in the intelligence factor. Boycott them. Good thing Im not destitute and dont need their services. Shame people donate to them they certainly dont use it right. Wont. be going back. Complained to ada. Hope they get shut down until they learn to comply with the law. Dog goes on airplane and to court but not in St.Vincent depaul. Booooooo. Guess thats what you get when you hire ex druggies that messed up their brain. Clearly uneducated

Not able to hang the American flag outside your apartment? You should be ashamed. As a veteran and an American, I am deeply disappointed. God help us and our country if this becomes some kind of standard!

This place place is a waist of time and money..it cost $3.50 just to get here on a bus that is overcrowded.... And then the building is overcrowded.... And the food and the other stuff is not worth the time and money that a homeless person spends to get here..the city should close this place down..

Totally corrupted. Stay away from these people. A mother had her daughters ashes taken away from her for no reason at all and they dumped them out and then sold the urn in one their stores. EVIL.
