Their staff at the emergency shelter are EXTREMELY rude, mean and just dont care about people. I was treated better when I was with my abuser. Carmen and Maria are heartless and liars. I thought it was me but once I moved to another place, I found out they treated many other people rude. They constantly make you feel unwelcome and threatening to throw you out almost daily, so you never feel comfortable. Maria is a flat out liar and she should Not ever be allowed to work with battered people. She is a racist! I heard her call a woman Euro Trash as she threatened to throw her and her little ones out on the street. I wish they would fire her and Carmen. I dont understand how the Director can overlook complaints about these two undercover abusers. Those two better hope they never find themselves needing assistance, if they do, I pray Karma treats them as they treat women who are in need.

I was a SART volunteer at the Center for Community Solutions and it is one of the most well-rounded and compassionate organizations that I have volunteered with. Their training is very thorough, touching upon subjects such as immigration, gender identity, teen dating violence and sexual assault. Sexual assault and dating violence are tough subjects to discuss, yet CCS discusses these topics in a conscious and compassionate manner and everyone commits to the cause full heartily. I highly recommending taking the time to experience volunteering here or donating to this organization.
