This is hands down, one of the best schools in San Diego County. Master Truscott and instructors are top notch. Whenever we have tournaments, we always invite them first. They care about their students and always go above and beyond to support them. We also highly recommend their Champions for Children Tournaments. This is a school that continually gives back to their community.

Family Karate provides amazing lessons and morals. Highly recommended! Mr. Truscott is patient and kind with children. Mrs. Truscott leads wonderful camps for children online.

I trained with the exceptional staff and instructors at Family Karate Escondido for many years. I received my Black Belt at age 50 and my Second Degree Black Belt at 54. Although I have not trained with them for a while, I try to live the Tenants every day and the teachings and impact on my life went way beyond the physical training. I recommend them highly!

My son has been doing Karate here for the past year or so and we absolutely loves it. The instructor is very kind and friendly and he is understanding to my sons needs. My son loves going to his training sessions and gets very excited once he gets a new belt color. He is very enthusiastic with his practices and he has tried to sign up for additional classes.

We absolutely enjoy and appreciate Family Karate! We are on our second generations of Everts. All the instructors are amazing! The staff at Family Karate has been amazing! The lead instructor, Steve Truscott, continues to teach ME how to better my parenting skills, simply through observing his incredible level of patience and commitment to excellence with each of his students. They have created a unique blend of down to earth, relatable instruction, with proven and accurate self defense methods. The skills and values taught there has been the single most effective ingredient into healing a once severely broken relationship with one of my adopted sons (who suffers from a lot of post adoptive/orphanage related issues). The teaching staff at FK has really come alongside my family and worked with us as a team. The result has been life changing for all of us and I cannot thank these amazing instructors enough.
