Great place. The kayaks were quality and reasonably priced. The staff is very helpful. They offer an awesome service to help you enjoy presque isle and the bay. Been there a few times to rent. Definitely will be back.

The owner was so nice and even pointed us to the best places to kayak. It was my boyfriends first time kayaking and he made sure we knew the best places to go and gave us some pointers! Rental prices were incredibly good- we will definitely be going back!!

Best kayak and board shop and rentals in town!

Overall, we had a good time after we got onto the water. But there were quite a few negatives with this company. They did not have one of the boats that I put on reserve. The seats on both of our kayaks were broken. There was confusion between staff on when we had to have the kayaks back that evening. The only good thing I felt the company did was help us load 2 large kayaks onto my small Mazda3 with ease.

We rented 2 paddle boards (one without a fin) and were told by the girl working that it would be okay. As a somewhat experienced paddleboarder who owns my own, I knew this didn’t sound correct especially for someone who has never paddled before. But the girl working said it was fine (even though she has told us she’s never even done it lol).The friend who ended up using that board broke two ribs from it. Not Erie outfitters fault but we were told when we spoke to the owner immediately after we returned the boards that we would get a full refund and he was super kind and understanding but ended up never getting a refund!!The quality of the boards were subpar and the owner was kind but the girl who was working was just a little incompetent she barely knew what she was talking about and forgot to have our party sign the waiver until after someone was already injured. Overall just not the best rental experience but it was an okay day besides my friend breaking his ribs.

Took a long drive to get to this place and ended up NOT kayaking. They only rent the kayaks but dont provide a safe means to get kayaks to the water. They offered to tie the kayaks on top of my car with ropes, which will scratch the body. Or were expected to find a business down the street somewhere and they were clueless about who was providing that service.

We rented 3 person and 2 person kayaks last weekend and we had a blast! They mounted on our car very easily. I love that we are able to launch them from any spot at PI. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely will do it again!

These folks are great to rent supplies from. All the gear we needed was provided to us. What made it even better was being able to stay so close to Presque isle.

Provide all you need to get right on the water. You wont even need canoe or kayak racks. Theyre close to the launch areas on Presque Isle, and have the pads and ropes to take you there.

I had a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I went kayaking for his birthday and had a great time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. He somehow managed to safely fit a tandem kayak on my little Prius C. If youre looking for an adventure at a very affordable price (especially off season) I would definitely choose Lake Erie Outfitters!

The LEO staff was so friendly and professional that they quickly eased my nerves. It is a great adventure, each and every time.

My fiance and I had the two worker (kids) load and strap the kayak to our audi. We got down peninsula drive to about stevos pizza and Saras, barely tapped the breaks and the kayak had almost completely fell off our car. It scratched the hood and the sunroof very badly, if i hadnt have caught it our windsheild would have been cracked too. When i called to report what happened all the owner had to say was that it wasnt their fault and to call my insurance...If you go to photos you can see the picture of how far off of the car that the kayak went. It is a blue car with copper wheels and a yellow kayak.
