I brought my car in just hours before taking a road trip to have them check out a weird grinding sound. They dropped everything to check it out, took it for a drive, and put it on the rack for me. Excellent service and extremely friendly. They also let you see everything they’re doing and explain what they’re looking at, making sure you fully understand what’s going on. After checking out my car, I asked what I owed them and they told me to pay whatever I wanted. Crazy honest and fair, couldn’t be happier with the service

So, I dont know how or where to start. I called on short notice to have my brakes and/or bearings looked at since there was a horrible noise coming from the front end. The owner had me bring my van in on super short notice mind you, right before LABOR Day weekend as well, and popped her up on the lift, diagnosed the issue, fixed the van, and she runs as sharp as a tack now! I couldnt be happier! I was given clear communication, pictures of the trouble areas, and A-1 kindness and hard work. Without his help and expertise, I would have ended up on the side of the road somewhere. James and Demays, you guys have a great shop and thank you for all the help! Will recommend! The great reviews are warranted. Our driver developed a coolant leak while passing Erie PA on 90. We had him towed to James shop and they were on it within minutes and had us fixed up and back on the road within 2.5 hours! Unbelievable in our business! Rip off, every time I take my car in it seems to have more problems than when It came in. They always claim its a new problem even though I have a 2018. The final straw was when I went in for a simple oil change and for them to change my thermostat, a day later my timing belt broke. Spent alot of money to get this fixed.

I Went To Get My Oil Change And Breaks Done At James. My Pistons Needed Lubed Because They Were Squeaking. He Charged Me $70 For The Oil Change And Labor. He Said He Took My Breaks Apart And Put Them Back On And That I Wouldnt Hear Anything. When I Got My Car Back My Breaks Were Even Worse And He Said That He Even Took My Car For A Ride Because Its A Challenger. Im Never Going Back There. He Always Tried To Hit On Me And Keep Me In The Garage With Him. Very VERY Unprofessional. I Now Have To Go Elsewhere And Pay To Get My Break System Redone. Thanks.

Hit a snag with a stuck caliper and old brake line that needed replaced. What James said would take a few days got done in one. He even walked me through his process and showed me my old parts and what all was wrong. Very pleased with my experience. Service was honest and genuine, work was quick, and prices were fair. I took my vehicle in for springs and shocks. I was given a very reasonable quote prior to the work being done. When I received the phone call that my vehicle was completed, it came in significantly lower than what was quoted. Also the job was completed, in my opinion, very quickly. I appreciate the work the mechanics did on my vehicle, very knowledgeable. And the owner, James, outstanding! Explained everything that was done, showed me the old parts and was extremely courteous. Timely affordable service

James is amazing. The first time we brought my car in he simply touched the hood and knew what was wrong. I live out of town now, and this weekend I came to visit my parents and my car started making a loud clunking. We took it in to James on Saturday, and while he wasnt supposed to work Sunday, he gave of his time and fixed my car so I can drive it back to my apartment today. He is incredibly understanding and goes above and beyond for his clients, plus his prices are fair. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Erie area with car trouble.

I cant say enough. I went in to have my a/c recharged on my 15 year old vehicle. I am 61 and living pay check to pay check. They were so friendly worked on my car for over 2 1/2 hrs trying to figure out what was wrong. He hooked up this machine that evacuated the system then ran a test to see if it had any leaks. First off it was over charged from who knows when. It hadnt worked in the 6 years I had it. Then the test showed the system wasnt passable to add freon. They were baffled because it had been at high pressure before they started stating that it was holding the original freon. He did ask permission to do a dye test to look for any problems which they didnt find. They then tried to add a little freon with a hand held can but wouldnt allow them to put very much in. After trying to re evacuate the system adding a little more oil and draining it, testing with the machine again it was finally given a go. The best part is after all the time they spent trying to get the a/c to work I was only charged for the a/c recharge at a reduced sale price. I cant say enough about the friendliness and hard work everyone put into fixing may car. I would never think twice about going to them they have my business in the future for sure.

Absolutely amazing. Treated with complete respect and wasnt taken advantage of one bit. What blew my mind was how he actually took the time to go for a test drive with me in the truck and kept me informed of everything being done. This shop is by far the best auto shop I have ever been too and plan to keep it as a shop I continue to go too. The price difference from other shops was impeccable and the parts used here are better parts than other well known auto shops (fairview service center). This auto shop has proved to me not all auto shops are money hungry. Highly recommended.

I leave very few reviews,but I must leave one here. I called James based on recommendation of another female and looking at reviews. The reason I came to them was my vehicle had been going to another car repair place aka Tires for Less and they kept saying something new was wrong and charging more and more and nothing resolved. Brought it to James and he took his time to review what could be wrong all to find out none of the repairs tires for less said they did were not done. James fixed rotted fuel lines under my car for $230 when Hallman wanted $780 to do the exact same job. He also takes the time to show you the parts and makes sure you understand what he will be doing. Hes just a great guy. We will be returning here for all our service.

I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. Straight up service, no selling or pushing, and going that extra bit for complete customer satisfaction. They actually called me a second time to reiterate his concern for brake pedal play, after they had already called to say the work was complete. Trust these guys, especially for a second opinion. Took my F150 to them after another mechanic had quoted $1300 in needed repairs to pass inspection. Turns out the repairs were not necessary for inspection AND one of the quoted repairs wasnt even necessary. Truck passed inspection and they saved me over $1000. Go see em if you need a mechanic.

James is one of the best mechanics I have ever done business with. My transmission flopped on me on a trip from New York to Michigan. James was the only mechanic in the North East/Erie PA area that answered his phone on a Sunday. He went well out of his way to take care of my car. He actually drove out to the Holiday Inn we were stranded at in North East PA and assisted with finding a tow company in the area. His price came in cheaper than expected and he sent pictures throughout the repair process. These guys say they treat their customers like family and they arent lying. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing service work in that area.

I have never had such a wonderful experience dealing with a mechanic. My husband and I were traveling through the area on a road trip, when we experienced car problems. I looked on google and found James and Demay. I called hoping they would be able to look at my van, he said he would be closing in less than an hour, but he would look at it first thing in the morning. He sent us a tow truck. He stayed in contact with us to make sure we got our tow, then also to make sure we found lodging. James called us the next morning to let us know the issue with our car and when he would have it fixed. When our car was ready, James drove to the other side of town to pick us up. We were back on the road in less than 24 hours. Next, we received a phone call from James that evening to make sure that everything was going ok. And one more time, the following evening, James called to check on us and make sure that we were still on the road with no problems. By far, this is the BEST customer service that I have ever been blessed with. Thank you James. It was a pleasure doing business with you!

Good reliable trustworthy service and fair prices

If you dont have time to read all this, in short this Man saved me and my Family from being broken down on the road from Massachusetts to Michigan.The long... my Wife, Twin 5 year olds and both dogs (23lb Beagle & 110lb Rhodesian Ridgeback) were heading home to Michigan from visiting our family in Massachusetts for Thanksgiving. Our Expedition began having battery charging issues which eventually lead us to pulling off the highway as all of our safety features began to disable( Abs, air bags). We ended up at a Travel America in Erie PA. The service center there only services semis so they couldnt and wouldnt help. It was noon on Saturday and My wife and I searched the internet for the shop in the area. I happened to find James and his shop and called because of his high reviews. Easily best decision Ive made in a very long time. James shop is scheduled to close at 2 and I wasnt sure the truck would start. James was very open on the phone and told me exactly what he thought was wrong and rogered up that he could get the part and fix it right away. After several phone calls back and forth we determined a plan.( each conversation James made it clear he wanted to do everything possible to help my family and I and get us home. He even offered to come fix the truck there in the parking lot or help get it back. I told him no it was snowing and hes responded with were in Erie PA, thats what it does.) My plan was to attempt to drive the truck to his shop which was 8 miles away. Unfortunately the truck only made it 4 miles and died when I pulled it into a parking lot. I then called James expecting him to recommend a tow truck. Again James blew me away; he asked me where I was and said he was coming to get me. 10 minutes later James showed up with his truck and a power pack. Had it hooked up in 5 minutes and the pack and hood strapped down for safety. And the truck fired right up and we were on our way to his shop. At a traffic light James jumped out and re tightened the strap to prevent anything moving. We made it to James garage where he quickly got us inside. He immediately offered his waiting area for my family and his own dogs kennel for our dog. Both kids were given popsicles and cartoons to watch. He then quickly began to work his magic on our truck. Throughout the whole process James made sure we were comfortable and kept us informed of what he was doing.After about an hour and a half James had the truck up and running. It was the alternator. James had quoted me before over the phone and he had kept his word. I was amazed at the price because I know it would have costed me more anywhere else. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation but he didnt he charged me for an 1.5 hr like he said and didnt charge me a dime for coming and getting me.This man rescued my family including my dogs from being broke down and got us up and on the road in no time and a great deal! Also texted me throughout the day making sure the truck was still running good and made sure we made it home.My family in Massachusetts was so relieved and thankful for James and his business!I apologize if this is poorly written but Im not a novelist. If your vehicle needs service then please believe me when I say you can trust James and he deserves your busineas.Thank you, James!

DONT BE TAKEN ADVATAGE OF BY OTHER AUTO REPAIR SHOPS....I needed some work done on my car for inspection...another garage told me that I needed needed a whole list of things, and yet another told me I needed yet another list of things...I took my car to James and Demays this morning and they went over my car, even let me in the bay to not only tell me but show me what was needed and why...Needless to say, this list from the other garages was bullsh*t...turns out I only needed one of the things off the list (tierod ends) for inspection and they even told me what I might want to consider replacing down the road. I also need to metion that one of the garages told me that it would cost $185 just for parts for tie rod ends and brake pads (which I thought I needed). So, I went and bought my own parts for under that, James and Demays will do the work for an UNBEATABLE price....DEFINATELY RECOMMEND CALLING THEM FOR YOUR AUTO REPAIR NEEDS!!!!!
